"State trooper shoots, kills armed man

Authorities said a Maine state trooper fatally shot a man who was armed with a shotgun during a domestic dispute Monday in Albion. Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland said the first trooper on the scene got into an armed confrontation with Johnathan Sullivan, who died in an ambulance while awaiting transfer to the LifeFlight helicopter. The attorney general's office is investigating. McCausland says trooper Derrick Record, who fired the fatal shot, has been placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation (AP)."
