How many more of your kids have to die for empire and Israel?
"Carvers Bay enlists ninth grade; Freshmen all put in JROTC" by Gina Vasselli
Welcome to high school. Now drop and give me 50.
The entire freshman class at Carvers Bay High School has been automatically enrolled in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, a military-sponsored program that trains high school students in military discipline and concepts. Principal Richard Neal, a Navy veteran, said the school's Marine Corps JROTC class is fulfilling the student's physical education requirement and is part of the school's Ninth Grade Academy.
But Charles Holloway, the parent of a freshman student at Carvers Bay, said he did not want his son in that program and when he asked that his son be taken out, his son was put in a class by himself.Holloway said he feels his son was being punished for not wanting to take part in that class.
Holloway said the JROTC class simply showed up on his son's schedule in place of gym class and he did not receive any information about the class or how to get his son out of it.
"What happened to our freedom of choice?" Holloway said. "I wanted nothing to do with anything related to the military."
******
Neal said he initiated the program because studies show that students in leadership programs are more likely to stay in school and graduate. He said so far the program has had an "extremely high positive response."

Master Sgt. Joe Epps, one of the instructors of the ROTC program at Carvers Bay. "What used to be the PE element ... we have taken that over."
Sig heil! Sig heil! Sig heil!
Georgetown County Superintendent Randy Dozier said freshmen are not required to take part in the JROTC class.
"We're not going to draft people into ROTC if they don't want to be in there," Dozier said. "They certainly can opt out."
Why should they have to OPT OUT?
Holloway said he is concerned that other parents do not know their child is in this program. He said that other students are "going to my son, saying 'how did you get out of it?'"
I recently read somewhere that being on the Internet is an addiction and people are just reinforcing their own delusions there. They just want to hear from the truth-telling choir instead of an agenda-pushing liar, I guess.
I must not be addicted judging by the various blogs I maintain and the fact that the first site I hit is the Boston Globe. They certainly aren't saying what I want to hear.
That doesn't mean I haven't been reading blogs -- I have. I just haven't been posting anything because I'm not spending endless hours at the computer anymore, for various reasons.
What I have been reading the last few days?Rather than mirror post all over the place, why don't I give you the appetizers and let you go there?Let the sites and sources take their deserved credit.
Despite a recession that knocked down global arms sales last year, the United States expanded its role as the world’s leading weapons supplier, increasing its share to more than two-thirds of all foreign armaments deals, according to a new Congressional study.
The United States signed weapons agreements valued at $37.8 billion in 2008, or 68.4 percent of all business in the global arms bazaar.
I entered the fray the other day on another blog- a "progressive" blog about health care. And after a couple of hours of futile back and forths with these enlightened beings who call themselves "progressives" one thing is clear to me- these people are in no way- and can never be- an ally in the fight against federal power."
.... In the past few years, the military has mounted a virtual invasion into the lives of young Americans. Using data mining, stealth websites, career tests, and sophisticated marketing software, the Pentagon is harvesting and analyzing information on everything from high school students' GPAs and SAT scores to which video games they play. Before an Army recruiter even picks up the phone to call a prospect like Travers, the soldier may know more about the kid's habits than do his own parents. Full Story
.... Two military aircraft were flying at high altitude near the Pentagon around the time it was hit on 9/11, but the identities of these aircraft and what they were doing over the Pentagon are unknown.
The planes had the call signs "Bobcat 14" and "Bobcat 17." A partial transcript of air traffic controller communications reveals they were communicating with the control tower at Washington's Reagan National Airport, which is less than a mile from the Pentagon, between at least 9:31 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. on September 11. [1] (The attack on the Pentagon took place at 9:37 a.m. [2]) Radar data has shown that the two aircraft flew "in trail" (in single file, with one directly behind the other) at an altitude of 21,000 feet, and were overhead in the few minutes before the Pentagon was hit. [3]
.... In The Futurological Congress (1971), Polish writer Stanislaw Lem portrayed a future in which disobedience is controlled with hypothetical mind-altering chemicals dubbed "benignimizers". Lem's fictional work opens with the frightening story of a police and military biochemical attack on protesters outside of an international scientific convention. As the environment becomes saturated with hallucinogenic agents, in Lem's tale the protesters (and bystanders) descend into chaos, overcome by delusions and feelings of complacency, self-doubt, and even love.
If the Pentagon's Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate (JNLWD) has its way, Lem may be remembered as a prophet.
(Austin and Hamburg, 1 July 2002) - The Advantages and Limitations of Calmatives for Use as a Non-Lethal Technique, a 49 page report obtained last week by the Sunshine Project under US information freedom law, has revealed a shocking Pentagon program that is researching psychopharmacological weapons. Based on "extensive review conducted on the medical literature and new developments in the pharmaceutical industry", the report concludes that "the development and use of [psychopharmacological weapons] is achievable and desirable." These mind-altering weapons violate international agreements on chemical and biological warfare as well as human rights. Some of the techniques discussed in the report have already been used by the US in the "War on Terrorism".

But that was then and this is now. The other courageous soul above was Rachel Corrie. She was murdered in Gaza in March 2003 by the IDF operator of a weaponized Caterpillar tractor while working with an international human rights organization in Palestine. She was trying to prevent the destruction of a Palestinians home by placing herself in the path of a D-9. I'm sure she thought the operator's humanity would keep her safe. Silly girl. After she was run over, the Israeli Defense Forces D-9 operator put his tractor in reverse and ran over her again. There were several witnesses. She was wearing a red vest in an open field. Her death received virtually no attention from our main stream news media. With out media coverage there was no national out cry. Not a whimper from our cowardly former President over this hideous event either. Why is that? Where are all of those activist Jewish Americans from this prior era who so valiantly joined the civil rights struggle in America? Why have their voices fallen silent in the matter of Palestinian injustices? Why are they and their children not concerned about the murder of this American and the never ending injustices perpetuated against the Palestinian people by Apartheid Israel? When injustices are perpetuated by fellow Jews does this mean that American Jews must put their love of their genetic materials ahead of truth, justice or any modicum of decency? Curious minds want to know.

RAMALLAH – The controversy triggered by a Swedish newspaper report about Israel’s harvesting of Palestinian organs has salted the wounds of many Palestinian families haunted by the memories of loved ones who suffered the same fate.
“They claimed they came to arrest him, but in truth they came to murder him, which they did,” Walid Masalmeh, a resident of the small West Bank town of Dura, 10 kilometer west of Al-Khalil (Hebron), said about his relative Bassam.
In 1995, Bassam was killed by the Israeli army at the village of Beit Awwa, located near the former armistice line between the West Bank and what is now Israel.
“But 24 hours later they returned the body with a huge scar running from the chin to the lower abdomen,” Walid remembers.
“They took all the vital organs, including the heart, kidneys, Liver. Then they stuffed the empty cavities with garbage before sewing him up.”
Several other Palestinians gave a similar narrative, recounting how they received the bodies of their murdered relatives, mostly men in their early twenties, with vital organs taken away by the Israeli authorities.
Israeli occupation authorities don’t deny that the bodies of victims were returned to their respective families minus the internal organs, but claim that the organs were disposed of as part of routine autopsy operations....
.... For those people who think that the towers couldn’t have been demoed because no demolition equipment or other evidence was found in the rubble by the “volunteers” who worked “for months and months” at Ground Zero, I got news for you; that didn’t happen.
The New York Fire Department was even kicked off the site, so that the mayor could “professionalize” the recovery effort. That means that a Controlled Demolition company took complete control at that point. The same Controlled Demolition company who’s owner admits he called people in New York on Sept. 11th, and warned them that the buildings were going to come down.
The mayor of New York, the same guy who would later be known as “a noun, a verb, and 9/11“, actually used scores of NYPD to physically block the firemen from accessing Ground Zero when they were simply trying to recover the remains of their fallen brothers. That same mayor told the firemen to go sift through the debris at the landfill if they so desired.
But just so you know, there wasn’t “thousands” of witnesses digging through the debris willy-nilly for “months and months” after 9/11.
The clean-up was so tightly controlled by a demolition contractor, even New York’s Bravest had to fight to try and get too it.
This is a bucket full of feces left by IDF soldiers occupying a roof in Hebron. Buckets like this one are routinely emptied into the water tanks on Palestinian roofs by soldiers.
The following are just random entries from the diary of Kawthra Salam, a Palestinian photo journalist who lives in the town of Hebron on the West Bank. This is her life. This is what life under Israeli Occupation is like. These are the soldiers as the media does not present them, and incidents that are daily occurrences for her and all other Palestinians. Her blog is called THE DAILY LIFE OF KAWTHER SALAM I have taken incidents from this diary and roughly pulled some out and posted them with the accompanying photos so that one can see how daily life is, in Occupied Palestine.
Each year, hundreds or even thousands of Palestinian children are arrested, tortured, interrogated, abused and incarcerated by the criminals of the Israeli military occupation.
In many cases the children are abused sexually by the Israeli interrogators. They are also imprisoned together with teenagers, criminals, and drugs dealers, who also attack the children, abused them sexually, and steal their personal belongings. Two children from the Nahalin village near Bethlehem told me how they had been abused sexually at the Israeli jail by criminals detained there.
Here is a Video which shows how the Israeli military treats the Palestinian children and their families while attending their illegal “military courts”.
Kevin Barrett is one of the most colorful and controversial of the 'mainstream' 9/11 activists. He's also one of the few who goes into the zionist aspect of the crimes of 9/11.
The question that often comes up is whether Barrett is a help or hindrance to the movement and sometimes whether he is a plant. That's up to the reader or listener to decide....
" .... To be fair, most Indians are smart people and have better things to do than play superpower games. The idea of India playing this game was actually pumped into Indian mind by some hawkish Americans, Brits, Aussies and Israelis during the warrior reign of Bush-Cheney. That's when some knuckleheads in Washington convinced some Indians that an India-Israel-America axis could actually change the world for good [with the Brits, Canadians and Aussies thrown in to give this whole thing an 'international' look].
The 'recruitment' of India was a joint Am-Brit idea, a combination of a desire to sell weapons, irritate China, and secure India as a future source of cheap soldiers to fight the Am-Brit dirty wars from the Red Sea to China to the shores of Sydney.
Gaza City, Sept. 2, 2009, (Pal Telegraph) - Everyday in the news, I hear about the suffering of the Gaza fishermen - one was killed, others wounded, and the Israelis are firing on still others. And I wanted to shed a light on their pain.
I went to the main Gaza port. While I was there, I figured out how sad the sea and the fishermen are. Boats are stuck and fishermen are looking at the sea with no hope.
The Palestinian fishermen have been consistently harassed by the regular Israeli attacks on them, as they abuse the fishermen for pursuing their livelihood. Furthermore, they are prevented to work for far distances inside the sea. The allowed distance for them is just around 4.5 Km. Unfortunately, once they reach that distance, they find themselves under Israeli fire. Around 3000 fishermen are now despondently jobless and in a real tragedy. The tragedy began with the complete blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip. The fishermen are prohibited from going to a deeper and richer area of fishing, and they have been dramatically affected with these restrictions from the Israeli navy forces. Indeed, they now have very low incomes with which to feed their families.
Ismael Kalilo is a 65-year old fisherman in Gaza City, who has spent 50 years of his life in the sea, and now lives in the Beach Camp. "I am totally satisfied to be a fisherman in Gaza, but completely exhausted by the conditions imposed on us."
Mind-control….Just mention the word and the mindless begin to giggle, the skeptics roll their eyes. Anyone who tries to fathom the meaning of the word becomes instantly muddied as a “conspiracy theorist,” simply by the act of trying to understand. Yet even in our jaded society, the truth can prevail over disinformation, if it manages to reach the light of day. It is not a conspiracy theory if it is based on facts.
The ugly truth about mind-control is that our government has, over the years, carried-out thousands of criminally unethical medical experiments “at hospitals, universities and military bases around our nation,” which were so serious and downright immoral that President Clinton had to publicly apologize publicly for them years after the fact.
Most of the more notorious and morally obscene illegal experiments conducted by the military and the CIA (other than the chemical, biological and radiation experiments on soldiers) which came to light in the Church Hearings, were designed to produce super spies and assassins. These were grouped under the code name “MKULTRA” (such as trauma-based psychology and ECT- induced amnesia [electroshock therapy]).
What is not known, is that all of these mind-bending conditioning programs began as Army psychological rehabilitation programs, developed originally to mentally recondition “inadequate soldiers” and those who had been diagnosed with neuropsychiatric disorders, during WWII. Basically, the program consisted of trying to force scared or angry young boys into being good soldiers by torturing them, using Nazi-developed techniques.
The ugly truth is that the US Army tortured a lot of America’s sons, under the guise of trying to reshape their wills using electrical and chemical means, among other repugnant “clinical” measures. The nationwide testing and re-education network, which fed the military’s needs in World War II and Korea, dwarfed the CIA’s more infamous illegal experiments to find perfect “Manchurian Candidates,” although all of the work in this field was supervised by military intelligence, which later became the CIA.
A very shocking statistic was revealed in studies before the war, that “only 15-20% of World War II soldiers along the line of fire would use their weapons.” This meant that most of America’s soldiers, even volunteers, could not overcome their own moral reservations about killing another human being. Upon entering the war, troop actions on the battlefield revealed another motivational shortfall, very often, fear overcame training, as the sheer terror of night fighting and the blistering awareness which was obtained at the losing end of Hitler’s “lightening war,” caused many highly-trained soldiers to forget their training and flee into the night.
The Nation had to induct every available man, in order to obtain the greatest number of shooters/killers. No one already in the service could be let go without a fight. It was deemed necessary to explore all possible measures, including medical means, to remedy the Army’s extreme shortfall of boys who were willing to kill on command. The Army had to eliminate this “defective” human personality trait in American boys (even though it was common to the majority of the human race) and find new ways to turn into our kids into useful killers. Every “noneffective” had to be retained and made useable.
“Neuropsychiatry. Methods and principles applied by the Medical Department to the reconditioning of noneffectives were also made basic to the handling of neuropsychiatric problems. The magnitude of these problems in the Army is indicated by the fact that from 1942 to 1945, inclusive, neuropsychiatric disorders accounted for the separation on certificates of disability for discharge of 379,486 enlisted men.”
A national motivational program was needed; the only available model of such a psychological program was in Nazi Germany. The US Army literally modeled its motivational program on some of the brutal experiments that were mercilessly carried-out on unwilling subjects in the Nazi concentration camps. Just like the prisoners in Hitler’s prisons and laboratories, America’s sons had been delivered into the hands of soulless evil men who would pass electricity, at up to 120 volts through their heads, in order to destroy their thinking processes and obliterate their memories.
Thousands of young boys were judged to be mentally deficient because they could not bend to the dehumanizing process of basic training, or they could not overcome their consciences telling them that it is wrong to kill other men. They sounded like fine young lads to me. All of them had their minds bent and their wills shaped to a foreign directive, forever altered from the free-willed young men that they once were, because they could not give-up their freewill or serve the war machine.
It is seemingly impossible for the majority of the American people today to even consider the hard evidence that is out there, which proves that these American mind-control experiments were a continuation of the criminal Nazi mind control experiments. These US experiments were often run by the actual Nazi scientists who had originally begun them, made possible by the importation of thousands of Nazi scientists after World War II in the CIA operation, “Project Paperclip.” The Army mind-control studies which took place between WWII and Korea began as “Operation Bluebird,” later to be renamed “Project Artichoke” in 1951.
The Army brainwashing program was intended to produce thousands of leaders to serve as the basis of a massive propaganda program to manipulate popular opinion in the homeland. The plan was to use these re-conditioned returning veterans to inspire the nation to become more patriotic and regimented. By shaping thousands of potential role models to project professionally crafted images of virile, hard-working American manhood who would serve any just cause and eagerly kill whoever the government wanted dead, the government set about planning for a future of military adventures.
All facets of American life would become keyed to the government national brainwashing program to shape American minds, in their scientific efforts to actually change human nature itself. American schools would become fascist incubators, cranking-out millions of good soldier ants and worker bees. The media would continue its wartime propaganda efforts, disguised as “news,” even in peacetime. The entertainment industry would inspire and overwhelm the imaginations of millions of malleable youth, filling them with the desire to serve, or to see action.
Our leaders chose to attempt to force the psychological evolution of mankind by artificial means, rather than by investing in correcting the problems and environmental imbalances which helped to shape our thoughts and concerns, freeing minds to grow. The psychological militarization of millions of American minds was focused on creating better soldier/citizens, thereby creating a superior fighting force that was fully supported by a psychologically enhanced population, in order to accommodate the American vision of world domination. Just as the corporate/government press controlled the amount of “news” that Americans received, the government mind control program sought to control the opinions we formed with that news we were given, even programming us with how and what to think.
The Army’s dual-track program was intended to plug the gaps and to fill the shortcomings of the present selective service system with a new, highly-motivated all volunteer force and simultaneously create a secret army of Ninja-like “Special Forces.” The entire process of creating new leaders to lead us into the new order, was the greatest social engineering project in human history.
The program began as a medical effort to rehabilitate wounded soldiers, with the intention of returning as many as possible of them back to the front lines.
“On 1 April 1944, War Department Technical Bulletin (TB MED) 28, the first comprehensive directive on the treatment of psychiatric patients, was issued, and for the first time, it was officially directed that psychiatric patients be treated:
The acute needs for manpower make it imperative that every treatment method available in station and general hospitals for neuropsychiatric patients be utilized to the maximum. The aim is to salvage every possible soldier for further duty. Those patients in whom there is no hope for salvage should be recommended for discharge.”
After WWII it had become obvious that the “inadequate soldier” was one of the military’s gravest concerns. The military developed a rehabilitation program centered around a psychological testing program that was administered to all inductees. It was used to identify candidates from among the Army’s rejects, the “inadequate soldiers,” who had been shuffled into the neuropsychiatry program where they were labeled as neurotic, even “psychopathic,” simply because they didn’t fit the prevailing military opinions at that time which held that there was “something wrong” with otherwise healthy young men who either refused to submit to the basic training process, or to physically kill, once they were trained and deployed.
“The inadequate soldier was another outstanding problem. This type of soldier rapidly developed somatic symptoms along with complaints and appearance of weakness.26 Intensive therapeutic interviews and suggestive therapy accomplished very little in changing these patterns.27
…most cases were mild neurotics with various somatic manifestations. Sore backs, stomach aches, and headaches predominated.
Other psychiatric problems which often resulted in hospitalization were reactive depressions, homesickness, “gold-bricking,” situational maladjustments, emotional immaturity, enuresis, somnambulism, and alcoholism.
It is our impression that routine punishment and discipline has very little effect on most prisoners whom we see and it is encouraging to note that many more of the men are being sent to reconditioning centers where they may receive skilled help for evaluating their problems.
Their policy was to return the questionable or mild cases to duty
Medical officers, however, had no other recourse. If a man were not fit for duty because of a psychoneurosis, the only possible disposition was to send him to a hospital. In civilian life, hospitalization would not even have been considered. (Farrell, M. J., and Appel, J. W.: Current Trends in Neuropsychiatry. Am. J. Psychiat. 101: 12-19, July 1944.)”
Those who were deemed suitable for the military reconditioning program were transferred into the various Army camps that had psychological treatment programs. One of these was at Camp Carson in Colorado Springs.
“At the Camp Carson, Colo., Station Hospital, an unusually active psychological testing program was developed.12 Studies were performed on the underlying emotional problems of enuretics and patients with rheumatic fever; also, correlations were made between psychological tests and clinical diagnosis of illiterate personnel (including mental and educational deficiencies).”
The psychologists there and at other facilities began to copy the known psychological manipulation techniques that were reportedly being perfected by the Nazi scientists.
“Under these conditions, shock therapy (mostly electroshock) was used freely for disturbed or agitated psychoses and depressions; subshock insulin treatment was employed in the more severe psychoneurotic reactions with encouraging results; psychotherapy under sedation called narcosynthesis, which had gained great popularity overseas in the treatment of combat neuroses, was resorted to in patients with residual symptoms of psychoneuroses incurred in combat and in cases of conversion hysteria.”
They were following almost exactly the Nazi-perfected techniques of using extreme electroshock sessions to produce an artificial state of amnesia, followed by prolonged sedation, accompanied by hypnotic suggestion (“narcosynthesis”). (These are also the exact same techniques that were utilized later in notorious CIA research done in Canada under Dr. Ewen Cameron, in the infamous MKULTRA mind-control program, only their efforts were aided by the use of LSD [the Army began experimenting with LSD in 1949].)
The psychological program at Camp Carson also included various forms of vocational training, classes in patriotism, and the teaching of other skills that were common among “normal” Americans:
“Occupational therapy.—Since occupational therapy was considered of particular benefit to psychiatric patients, it received considerable impetus in the reconditioning program. The more masculine types of such therapy were sought, but the arts and crafts were also found popular and useful. Ingenious and devious means were found to interest the patient and keep him occupied. Group projects were often instituted such as landscape gardening, furniture and toy construction projects, camp paper publication and printing, and handyman repair services.
Films such as “Why We Fight” (a seven part propaganda documentary) were shown to the men. War developments, the “four freedoms,” war leaders, and the like, were taught in the indoctrination classes.
Music and entertainment.—Major efforts were directed toward popularizing group participation in these entertainment fields. Group sings and bands were frequently organized for this purpose although passive participation with USO shows and guest entertainers had some therapeutic effect.”
All facets of this medical and vocational regimen were carried-on at Camp Carson (renamed Fort Carson in 1954), in order to indoctrinate the traumatized veterans as much as possible, before returning them to civilian life. With the advent of the Korean War, came justification for continuing the reconditioning programs indefinitely, attempting to salvage soldiers from the world war for the next war.
I know for certain that the Neuropsychological programs at Camp Carson continued until at least 1953, because my father was held there in 1952. He was sent there from Ft. Benning, Ga. (another MKULTRA facility) because he had been considered to have a mental deficiency for refusing to enter officer training, or to consent to killing other human beings. Until that time, he had been considered a good soldier.
Since then, he has had recurring nervous and psychological problems, coupled with occasional bouts of temporary amnesia. He doesn’t really remember much from his time in Camp Carson, Station Hospital; he no longer remembers telling me about the electroshocks (my mother confirms he had them). He does remember receiving a lot of phenol-barbital, being chased by a large man wielding an axe, and the fistfight between himself and a large colonel (who had been pounding some pitiful little private named “Bates”), which got him a “general” discharge thanks to a general’s intervention.
He also remembers meeting and talking with the actor Robert Mitchum, who had been brought-in as a patriotic role model, to inspire (help brainwash) the troubled boys. (“War developments, the “four freedoms,” war leaders, and the like, were taught in the indoctrination classes.”) I have seen the photos of them together, but they were sitting on the steps of some large brick facility, certainly not the Army base (Perhaps it was another scary site in Colorado Springs which also gave electroshock, like the Colorado Springs Pathological Institute?).
From what has been learned up until now about the hideous MKULTRA program, electroshock, hypnosis, extended periods of barbiturate-induced semi-comas and staged acts of trauma-inducing terror were the methods used in some of the more extreme facilities. This means that the psychiatric facility at Camp Carson equaled the most extreme CIA facilities uncovered anywhere. Since it served as a model program for all the Army, then that means that Nazi torture-based mind-control had become an integral part of the basic training program.
At the end of the war it had become apparent that the Empire’s plans for world domination would go nowhere without a willing army of killers to enforce its plans for everybody else. The American male was completely inadequate for the task. The majority of fighting-age men had to be made into better killers, who were willing, even eager, to kill for our government, no matter who they wanted us to kill, or how many they wanted dead.
Using this same illegal Nazi science the government has carried-out its psychological reconditioning programs for its super-soldier initiatives. The basic techniques remained the same, as developed by the Nazi behavioral programmers, only adding slightly new twists as new technology and new drugs like LSD became available (the Nazis used mescaline in their experiments).
The infamous MKULTRA program was carried to its most radical extremes through its Canadian research facility, run by mad scientists under Dr. Ewan Cameron. His extreme torture sessions, done mostly on women (even on young girls), combining sensory deprivation, electroshock, prolonged periods of sleep (up to 60 days under sedation) and strong doses of LSD, discredited the very mental health issues that he was exploring in his research, even though they validated the mind-control utility of his approach.
We know that the “Manchurian Candidate” assassins research was the end result of this effort. Through my website, I received the following testimony from a man claiming to be one of these former Manchurians, describing the techniques I have been describing:
“There is such a program being administered by the DOD via the military. In 1986, while serving in the military, I participated in a psychological conditioning program that was administered at NAS Cecil Field, in Jacksonville, Florida. I was given electro-shock therapy and some unknown drug therapy, in conjunction with hypnosis. The purpose of all of this was to dampen, or rather dumb down your awareness of your emotional state. You still have reasoning ability, except your ability to understand your ‘feelings’, or rather understand your ‘emotional state’ was inhibited. When I was “put” into a situation, where any rational person would have “intense fear”, I had none. In fact, in covert combat situations I felt no fear, no anger, and no remorse…The psychological effects are something else. Your emotional state ends up being like a 4 year old child.”
So the United States government, in order to carry-out its policies of fighting endless resource wars, centered around countless covert wars wherever the precious resource is to be had, must create an army of super soldiers, using Nazi mind-control techniques and the new American mind-control science based on these techniques, to torture the “best of the best” into some sort of inhuman zombie killers without consciences. These are the soldiers in Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney’s death squads.
The basic psychology of all the programs developed from the Nazi mind-science studies has been carried through into all aspects of American government operations. US foreign policy especially has become dominated by the trauma-based psychology that lies at the heart of all the Nazi/CIA mind-warping sciences. Basically, the idea was to use methods like disabling drugs, electroshock and violence to shock or stun the mind, in order to subdue the person’s own dominant personality, before implanting new ideas and thoughts, even developing completely new and separate identities within that submissive mind. Through its studies on the psychological effects of intensive bombing on populations during WWII, the Army realized that the shock of bombing or other violent events created the same psychological effects as the electroshock on entire populations. After receiving the shock of the deadly bombing, the population becomes mentally pliable, more open to suggestion.
Carrying the concept of shock psychology over into basic military training itself, new recruits are subjected to a calculated, grueling process, where they are worked into the ground, physically abused and degraded with a constant verbal tirade about their own worthlessness as human beings, until their wills are broken. After they are broken, the Army reprograms them with a new superior fighting will. These reconditioned 17-19 year olds go on to fill the vacancies left by their predecessors, more worn-out and discarded veterans of war and mind-control. Ask any of them about their experiences and you will be hearing the stories of successful graduates of the government’s mind-control academy.
Judging from the end results of decades of this attempt at social engineering, by way of unlimited psychological warfare, and the fact that America’s all volunteer Army struggles to find new suckers, it is safe to say that the solution arrived at for “inadequate soldiers” was a complete failure. The program was just another attempt by the American government to find a use for scientific torture; in this case, the purpose was to burn-out psychological resistance (morality) to committing acts of murder. By embracing the basic science and methodology of Nazi scientists like the notoriously evil criminal Mengele, the US government embraced Nazism at its very core.
It is my contention that America has been living under a Nazi regime since World War II. The Nation has been held captive by multiple variations of the Nazi mind-sciences until this very day. The behavioral economics theories followed by Barack Obama are but another manifestation of this trauma/threat-based psychology manipulation. The so-called “war on terrorism” is but the latest act in the new history of a renewed “Third Reich,” an American “Reich.” Under the hypnotic spell of the new patriotic ideology implanted within us, American youth have continued to maintain the flow of army ants for the Reich’s eternal plans for world conquest.
Young brainwashed men continue to waste their lives on the altar of the new religion, believing firmly that they are serving their country, when the reality is just the opposite. By serving your country as hired killers you are doing a great disservice to the human race. As you murder those who resist the American invasion of their lands for nothing more than corporate profit, you are serving the latest incarnation of the world tyrant, the “anti-Christ.” You had to be brainwashed first, before they could trust you to serve the deadly mission in the field, there on the frontlines where you would find yourself eye-to-eye with those innocent folks that you were hired to kill.
America is dominated by an alien force, one that our fathers thought they had destroyed. If all those brave young men who passed into oblivion on the beaches and killing grounds of Europe had only known that the evil they fought would be embraced by the very government that sent them, they would have probably laid-down their arms right there. That is what is required of today’s latest graduates of the mind-control academy, to stop the Nazi war machine, you must lay-down your arms, and the rest of you patriotic suckers must stop volunteering.
The end result of all this can only be seen as failure, since more people are starting to shake-off the psychological conditioning, most importantly, the soldiers are becoming disillusioned. We have inherited a society and American-dominated world that is run by the best killers, the most adaptable to the prosperity program, the lowest human denominator, what has been termed an era of psychopaths.
In Twilight of the Psychopaths, Dr. Kevin Barrett has described this controlling malevolent form of control as an “overworld”:
“[A] criminal syndicate or overlapping set of syndicates that lurks above ordinary society and law just as the underworld lurks below it… brutal, cunning gangs of CIA drug-runners and President-killers; money-laundering international bankers and their hit-men, economic and otherwise; corrupt military contractors and gung-ho generals; corporate predators and their political enablers; brainwashers and mind-rapists euphemistically known as psy-ops experts and PR specialists—in short, the whole sick crew of certifiable psychopaths running our so-called civilization”
We are bugs in a jar. Sometimes the hidden hand shakes the jar. Is it so that our tormentors can wager among themselves upon which branch we shall alight, after the shaking, or is it done with purpose, as if to herd us from one stage of the experiment to the next?
In normal human nature, society produces only a limited amount of natural leaders, equal parts of both good and bad, only a few are either geniuses or madmen. In our age of psychopaths, it is the hope of the many that a few geniuses will stand-up, so that all may overcome the madmen. A good place to start would be the prosecution of the US Army for torturing thousands of American boys, according their violations of the Nuremberg Code, the same set of standards used to judge the Nazis the last time they tried to take-over the world.
The ten points are, (all from United States National Institutes of Health) [1]
1. The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonable to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment.
The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.
2. The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature.
3. The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment.
4. The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury.
5. No experiment should be conducted where there is a prior reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.
6. The degree of risk to be taken should never exceed that determined by the humanitarian importance of the problem to be solved by the experiment.
7. Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability, or death.
8. The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment.
9. During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible.
10. During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgment required of him that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.

That's because the policies are the SAME!

"Obama Escalates Afghanistan Quagmire
It could be argued that the single biggest contributor to President Barack Obama’s election victory was voter dissatisfaction with former President Bush’s neoconservative warmongering foreign policy (which was embraced by Republican presidential candidate John McCain). Ironically, since taking office, Obama has turned out to be eerily similar in the warmongering department.
One of Obama’s first foreign policy decisions as the commander-in-chief was to copy Bush’s Iraq troop “surge” with a surge of his own in Afghanistan. The U.S. troop presence has drastically increased from 32,000 at the start of 2009 to about 57,000 presently with an anticipated cap around the 68,000 mark (which would more than double the U.S. commitment to the region). Like the salesman on a late-night infomercial typically proclaims, “But wait — there’s more!” Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced that the number of boots on the ground could climb even beyond the 68,000 number. In a question and answer session at Fort Drum, Gates said that what U.S. General Stanley McChrystal, who was recently appointed as the new commander of NATO, reports back to him could influence the decision to send even more troops to war. McChrystal is preparing a classified report for the Defense Secretary on Afghanistan according to CNN.
McChrystal is expected to complete a classified report for Gates by the end of this month, assessing where the war stands, and what needs to be done. He will tell Gates whether he needs more U.S. troops to fight the escalating conflict, according to a senior U.S. military official.… The review is also expected to recommend that the number of Afghan troops be increased beyond the goal of 134,000, other military sources said.
McChrystal is already seeking to increase troop levels there by pleading with the British to send more troops. McChrystal also stated that the conflict shows no sign of coming to a near halt. “It will go on until we achieve the progress we want to achieve…. It won't be short.” The British casualties in Afghanistan recently just climbed above the number of those who died in the Iraq conflict. Things continue to deteriorate in the region where attacks are up 70 percent over last year. Unlike in America where the marital woes of the stars of Jon & Kate Plus Eightdominate the headlines, in the U.K., the rising death toll and grim analysis of prospects for success have generated controversy and debate over British participation in the war. Such a dialogue has alarmed the Obama administration, which fears the same might happen in the United States, according to the Financial Times.
Britain's increasingly heated debate about its role in Afghanistan has sparked concern in Washington about the sustainability of the military strategy and the US public's own willingness to commit troops for the long term, senior officials and analysts say.… A senior US official told the Financial Times that there was "some level of anxiety" within Barack Obama's administration about the UK debate. "It's hard to see our most capable partner struggling in this debate…. If we are going to have to backfill European countries that decide to leave, could we sustain that with US public opinion? That's an open question."
Unfortunately for our brave men and women in the U.S. armed forces, the current administration seems more concerned with public opinion polls than preventing U.S. casualties in an unnecessary and unconstitutional nation building project. The Associated Press reports that Obama’s surge is already proving very deadly.
July is shaping up as the deadliest month of the Afghan war for U.S.-led international forces, with the number killed already matching the highest full-month toll of the nearly eight-year conflict…. As of Wednesday, at least 46 international troops, including 24 Americans, had been killed in Afghanistan this month…. That matches the tolls for the two previous deadliest months — June and August of 2008. The rate of deaths in July — about three a day — is approaching some of the highest levels of the Iraq war. [Emphasis added.]
One has to wonder how long it will take the American public to wake up from their mainstream media-induced slumber to recognize that the man sold to them as a peace candidate is turning out to be just as bad of a warmonger, if not worse, than his much-maligned predecessor.

Russian saying
I am not laughing anymore. It's not funny.
It's not funny when President Obama betrays the Constitution and refuses to prosecute the members of the previous administration for their crimes. It is not funny when Professor Jonathan Turley on MSNBC tells us to 'forget your civil rights because those are not protected anymore.' That's now? Not under Bush? Not funny at all.
It's not funny when it becomes obvious that Eric Holder sold his soul to the Devil when he agreed on a deal to let Sen. Stevens off the hook and denigrate his own office. It's not funny when after that the Justice Department helps(!) to promote the impunity of the illegal wiretapping.
It's not funny when our President in total ignorance and malice promises in Prague to continue the infamous ABM program although the whole world knows that program to be a stupid and dangeorus provocation, nothing more.
It's not funny when we now see that the real group which brought Obama and Co. to power are Big Pharma and Big Agro. The unbelievable vehemence and hurry of the stem research fed funding, NAIS and HR 845 speak loud and clear about whom does Obama oblige.
It's not funny when the Dem administration in total stupidity and malice attacks the most skillful groups of the US workforce- automotive workers, aerospace engineering core, IAM, etc. Our government not only does not want to stop the avalanche of layoffs of those people but in fact promotes it in all possible ways.
It's not funny when a former bouncer and a petty gangster becomes a Foreign Minister of Israel, proclaims openly the extremist views and hatemongering and our Secretary of State... keeps nice and silent. Remember what happened when Hamas was elected?
It's not funny when our President calls the Iraqi war 'an achievement'. It is a dishonorable atrocity and a lie.
It's not funny when our current administration openly ignores all the main figures of the former anti-Bush movement, when it does not care for the truth of 9/11, when Cindy Sheehan, Vincent Bugliosi, Ray McGovern, Scott Ritter and Greg Palast are not welcome, when the horrible shadow of lawlessness still hangs over us.
It's not funny when Karl Rove spits on Congress and they.. say, 'Thank you.'
It's not funny when Nancy Pelosi, the queen of lying eyes writes and publishes a book to guide our daughters. God save us from harm.
It's not funny when our 'Defense' budget is an offense to decency and common sense, a monstrosity beyond belief.
It's not funny when our government openly promotes the ' robot war' and the usage of the drones. It is madness. If we are not very liked now just imagine how the people of the world will react to that strategy. Our heads and heads of our children will be on pikes througout the world. There will be an open season on all Americans, man, woman and child. We will be destroyed.
It's not funny when so-called scentific advisers openly entertain throwing the polluting particles into the upper atmosphere to 'reflect the radiation'. That's lunacy. Lunacy should not be discussed. Mind you, I repeat: those people are the enemies of the US and Humanity and are to be confined to the asylum.
It's not funny when we have suddenly the pandemia of all kinds of ' Corpses'. Energy Corps, AmeriCorps, this Corps, that... Our country does not need Corpses. It needs big projects, serious rebuilding, jobs associated, empowering local governments, lower property taxes and good safety net. It needs universal healthcare. It needs our National Guard to come home. It needs peace. It needs lower tuition fees. It needs national K-12 education system. It needs the transfer to the SI system of measurements. It needs leaving the farmers alone. It does not need the ' community organizing' paroxism. It needs better cadres in all branches of the already available power to reorganize itself. It needs the transfer of power from the interests to the public. It needs honest people at the helm.
It's not funny when we have billions spent on Homeland SS and DNI and the only result is harm to our nation. And no end to this harm in sight.
It's not funny when we suddenly see the vehement hurry in the Immigration reform. True, we need to legalize those people and we need to do it properly. But what has to be done first and foremost is to create a mutual body with all parties to discuss the current situation, particularly what is legal and what is not, who is 'illegal' etc. Takes time. Are there really 12 million? Who counted? We need to start working on that dilligently and slowly, maybe starting by putting a moratorium on deportation while enabling the police to arrest the criminals no matter what. Those people are not illegal- technically they are Mexican and/or citizens of other countries; we need to consider that too.
It's not funny when our President virtually wants to 'dump' the innocent victims off the Gitmo abuse to Skid Row- whoever takes them and whatever is done to them. Those people have rights. How about listening to their wishes?
It's not funny when our President asks for $83 billion dollars to expand the CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY- the war in Afghanistan.
None of this is funny. I am not even talking the bailout of the Wall St. and the total betrayal of the core industries of the country. Michelle Obama can dig her potholes as much as she wants; very soon Washington DC will have no air to breath because of the stench of malice.
I got a call from one of you the day after the election. You were so happy. You had "not been so proud to be an American for... decades!" You're living overseas, and you told me about watching the results in a bar with other Americans and how you were all hugging and crying you were so happy. As I hung up the phone, I found that I felt happy for you too.
Most of you know that I supported neither McCain nor Obama, that I view them as equally opposed to peace and freedom and equally ignorant of sound economic principles. I wasn't going to be happy with the election results no matter who won, so I can at least be glad that some of my friends are happy, and I am. And after his first few days in office, even I have to admit that Obama has done some very good things for which he is receiving well-deserved praise. It is not my intention to dismiss these accomplishments, nor is it my intent to rain on anyone's parade. But I do want to ask you all a big favor.
I'm going to make some predictions about Obama's presidency. Essentially, I'm going to predict that four years from now, an Obama presidency will not look very different from the George W. Bush presidency, or from what I imagine a John McCain presidency would bring. If I'm wrong about this, then I promise that I will re-think my beliefs about our political system and about politics generally. But if I am right, then I'm asking you to do the same. I'm asking each of you to consider the seemingly bizarre proposition that there really is no significant difference between candidates offered up by the established party system; that Republican and Democrat are virtually indistinguishable; and that neither party has at heart the interests of you or me or "the American people." I'm asking you to consider the possibility that continuing to vote for these people just helps to perpetuate the very ills you seek to cure.
So here are my predictions. I'm going to leave aside areas such as the environment (I don't believe that government solutions to environmental problems will help anyone other than special interest groups — many of you probably don't agree with me) and wealth redistribution (I'm old fashioned and believe that theft is wrong even when the government does it) because we may not be on the same page on these issues. (However, on the issue of wealth redistribution, I will say this: Do you really believe that the same man who voted to bail out billionaire bankers at the expense of ordinary taxpayers is really going to help the poor stick it to the rich? Really?)
I'll stick to the areas where I think most of us agree: War and foreign policy; civil liberties; and the economy.
Let's start with war and foreign policy. Obama was not an anti-war candidate, and he is not an anti-war president. His opposition to the US occupation of Iraq was based not on a principled stance against pre-emptive invasion and occupation of a foreign country, but on his view that it had damaged the US's credibility and therefore its ability to engage in military interventions in the future. Senator Obama voted to continue funding the Iraq war and voted against a 2007 pullout in June of 2006. He does not plan to bring troops home from Iraq, but to redeploy them in Afghanistan, and he "support[s] plans to increase the size of the Army by 65,000 soldiers and the Marine Corps by 27,000 Marines." (from Obama's website, change.gov)
In an article for Foreign Affairs last year, Obama said "I will not hesitate to use force, unilaterally if necessary, to protect the American people or our vital interests whenever we are attacked or imminently threatened." (Emphasis mine.) He has promised AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) that he will "...do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Everything." Coming from the future leader of one of the most heavily nuclear-armed nations in the world, these are chilling words. Prior to his election, Obama also spoke of expanding the war on terror to Pakistan (indeed, by the end of his first week in office, he had already ordered air strikes on villages in Pakistan, killing at least 17 people including three children), and prior to his inauguration he remained silent as the Israeli government killed hundreds of civilians in Gaza with weapons provided by the US government.
The sad truth of the matter is that George W. Bush in 2000 ran on more of an anti-war platform than did Obama in 2008. Indeed, the danger inherent in a President Obama is that he will be perceived as being less bellicose than Bush or McCain. I believe that this will allow him to get away with even more than McCain might have, as he will face neither the public opposition nor opposition in Congress that a Republican president would have.
So, here are my foreign policy predictions:
At the end of Obama's first four-year term:
1. The US will still have an active military presence in Iraq. 2. The US will have attacked at least one more country that poses no direct threat to us. (I'm not even going to count his early air strikes on Pakistan.) 3. Military spending will have increased. 4. US citizens will be no safer from terrorist attacks. I say this because I believe the (sadly all-too-accurate) perception of the US as an imperialist warmongering nation will persist. I realize this one is open to interpretation. I would just ask you to honestly ask yourselves at the end of these four years whether this is the case.
My one caveat to this section is this: If the US government becomes financially unable to maintain its empire abroad, then Obama's military aspirations may be hampered by budget constraints. However I maintain (and Obama's own words support me here) that this will not be because of any lack of will on his part.
Moving on to civil liberties and human rights, I have to admit that this is the one area where Obama's presidency is already looking different from that of his predecessor. In his first few days in office, President Obama signed executive orders to 1) close Guantanamo within a year; 2) officially ban the use of torture in the military; 3) close the CIA-run secret prisons around the world; and 4) review detention policies and procedures and review individual detention cases. He has also suspended the military trials at Guantanamo for 120 days, and has acted to combat government secrecy. These are all good things and Obama is receiving well-deserved praise for them.
More important though, the fundamental problems facing civil liberties and human rights in this country do not stem from the operation of some detention centers. The damage inflicted has its roots in such things as the USA PATRIOT ACT (which Obama voted to re-authorize), drug law enforcement, and the repudiation of the very foundation of due process of law, habeas corpus. The big questions then, are: 1) whether Obama's administration will actually follow through on his executive orders and close Guantanamo, close the CIA prisons and truly end torture (there is also of course the question of what will then happen to the detainees); and 2) whether Obama will be able to tackle the more fundamental problems such as restoring habeas corpus and due process.
And there are some fundamental issues that Obama has not even taken on. While he is aware of the fact that more than one percent of American adults, and one out of every nine black men, are in prison, he does not tackle this issue head on. Nor does he really address the war on drugs in its entirety, nor the increasingly dangerous police state it has helped to spawn. To his credit, he has promised to end the illegal federal raids on medical marijuana clinics, and to eliminate the inherently racist sentencing disparities between crack and powder cocaine. However these measures don't even come close to addressing the fundamental problem that is the drug war itself. And some of his moves so far do not inspire hope: His appointment of Eric Holder, formerly a big proponent of mandatory minimum sentencing is worrisome. Even more disturbing, Obama has pledged to strengthen two federal programs ("Community Oriented Policing Services" (COPS) and the Byrne grant program) that have actually contributed to increased militarization of local police forces.
My predictions, then, are a bit more muted than in the other sections. On some of the big questions I listed above, I do not have any predictions. I hope that he does do all of these things, and if he does I will give him credit for it, and even admit that he may be better than McCain in this one area after all (although remember McCain said he was against torture too). To me though, real change means more than simply reversing the most outrageous of measures put in place by the previous administration. However if under Obama habeas corpus and/or due process (including an end to warrant-less searches and seizures) are fully restored, then I will absolutely admit that there are significant differences between the two men, and I will reconsider my view that real change cannot come through the political process.
I am also very concerned about Obama's plans for what amounts to compulsory national service for young people. The idea is that schools receiving federal funds will be strong-armed into implementing "service" (for government-approved endeavors of course) as part of their graduation requirements. I am not going to include this in my predictions however as I really don't have a strong view on whether this will come to pass or not.
What I do predict is the following. By the end of Obama's first term in office:
1. More than 1% of US adults will still be in prison. This number will very likely be even higher than it is today, and the black and Hispanic portion of that population will not have decreased by any significant amount. 2. We will still suffer from the kind of police abuse that is becoming more and more common: military-style raids on unarmed civilians in their homes; the shooting and tasering of unarmed citizens; and police and judicial corruption leading to the jailing of many more innocent people than can be acceptable under any system. The militarization and aggressive behavior of police forces will probably become worse before they get any better. This is another one that is somewhat open to interpretation. I would ask you to rely on your own honest judgement regarding whether you believe things have really changed in this area. 3. "No-Fly" lists will still be in place, and there may even be more restrictions on travel. 4. There will be more restrictions on gun ownership and the right to self-defense. 5. The police tactics and suppression of dissent at the 2012 RNC and DNC conventions will be just as brutal as they were in 2008. 6. Government surveillance of US citizens will continue (remember that bill Obama voted for that gave immunity to the telecoms companies that assisted with this in the past?),
Now for the easy part: the economy.
It is true that President Obama has inherited a tremendous problem from the previous administration. Any president would be hard-pressed to come out of the next four years claiming victory in this area. In fact, the best that anyone could do would be to not make things any worse by allowing markets to function, overvalued assets to depreciate and poorly run companies to fail. Barack Obama is not going to do that.
With his support for the massive financial-industry bailouts, and his plans for stimulus packages to get the economy on track again, President Obama is doing all the wrong things. What got us into this mess was too much borrowing and spending, too much government involvement in markets, and now he wants to implement more of the same as the solution. I'm not even going to ask you all to agree with my assessment. Just watch what happens.
My prediction: By the end of Obama's first four years in office, the US economy will be in much, much worse shape than it is now. Specifically:
1. The US will have massive inflation. The dollar will lose at least 50% of its value against most goods and services, and certainly against the goods and services most people use every day. This is a very conservative estimate. It will probably be much worse. 2. Unemployment in the US will be worse than it is now. It will be at least in the double digits.
Maybe you all have a different concept of what "change" means than I do. If so, then fair enough. But for me, at a bare minimum, any real change cannot possibly include a continuation of the US government's interventionist and imperialist foreign policy. Nor can it include the maintenance of the police state that allows government agents to spy on US citizens, burst into their homes in the dead of night armed to the teeth, seize the property of people not even connected to crime s, shoot and taser non-violent citizens with impunity and incarcerate nearly 1% of the population — or incarcerate anyone for crimes that have no victims. I believe that these things will continue unabated under the Obama administration.
If you agree with me that the continuation of these problems would not constitute the kind of "change" you are looking for, then I'm asking you to accept my challenge: If, by the end of Obama's first term in office, these areas are not significantly different from how they are now — that is, if the US is as much an imperialist, warmongering state as it is today, if civil liberties at home are no more protected than they are today and if the economy is in significantly worse shape than it is today — then I will ask you to admit that you were wrong about Obama. More than that, I'm going to ask you to rethink your views on about the political process more broadly. And I promise to do the same.
For years, I have said that real progress towards peace, freedom and respect for individual rights cannot come from working within the very system that sustains itself through war and the expansion of state power over people's lives. If in fact the Obama administration does herald great and significant change in these areas that we agree upon, then I promise to rethink these beliefs.
Let me correct myself on one point. Up above I said that there was no discernible difference between the Republicans and Democrats, or between McCain and Obama. That's not quite true. Obama is smarter. He will pursue his ends in a more intelligent and a more publicly palatable way than John McCain would have, and he will very likely be more successful in attaining them because of it. But what remains the same are the ends themselves. Ultimately, both parties stand for upholding American empire overseas and expanding the scope of the state in people's lives and the economy at home. If I am wrong about this, then I promise to re-think everything. But if I am not, then I hope you will do the same. Let's talk again in four years.
"After less than a week in office, Barack Obama's approval rating plunges 15 points
Barack Obama might have been in office for less than a week, but the euphoria is beginning to wane. The new President's approval ratings have fallen from a stratospheric 83 per cent to a more modest - although still impressive - 68 per cent.
Washington analysts said the scale of the drop in the Gallup poll underlines the immense challenges Mr Obama faces in trying to turn round the U.S.'s battered fortunes....
The President's new focus in the war on terror is also causing controversy. While he plans to shift all combat troops out of Iraq over the next 16 months, many soldiers will find themselves in the thick of a new battle in Afghanistan.
On Saturday morning, the list of subpoenas served by the U.S. Attorney's office in the Governor Rod Blagojevich case was made public. The list included one major surprise for the new administration.
A veritable "who's who" of Obama staffers, surrogates and affiliates were among those served with subpoenas. Put simply, within one week of President Barack Obama's administration taking office, it is already under significant legal scrutiny that will -- at a minimum -- take precious time away from dealing with the country's monumental economic and foreign policy challenges.
And, once again, the mainstream media is AWOL, unwilling to report on this very newsworthy story. Among those whose communications were served:
David Axelrod, Obama's "Karl Rove" and the biggest surprise on the list. Obama's team issued a report in December that said his staff had no "inappropriate contact" with Blago, so the inclusion of Axelrod is a bit of a shock.
Valerie Jarrett, Blago's "Senate Candidate 1", a real estate management executive and political hack of the first order. Her ties to failed and fraudulent real estate deals in Chicago were the subject of numerous investigations and should have instantly disqualified her for any public office.
