War With Russia Will Be Nuclear

"If Nuclear War Doesn’t Exterminate Us Ebola Virus Might

08/02/14
Paul Craig Roberts

Obama’s White House Press Conference

I just heard on National Public Radio two things that have totally destroyed what tiny bit of belief I still had in American leadership. I have concluded that the term “intelligent American” is an oxymoron.

American elites have decided that Americans are not sufficiently threatened by war and economic chaos, so they are bringing the ebola virus to America. National Public Radio reported that two people infected with the ebola virus, which cannot be cured and is usually deadly, are being brought to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Allegedly the ebola carriers will be quarantined in special rooms. But we already know that American hospitals cannot even contain staph infections. What happens to the utensils, plates, cups, and glasses with which the ebola infected persons eat and drink? And who gets to clean the bed pans? One slip-up by one person, one tear in a rubber glove, and the virus is loose. All it takes is one cough, one sneeze, one drop of saliva, and the virus is loose in one of the main transportation centers of the US.

Pandemic anyone? Little doubt but that most of the world would emit a great sigh of relief to be rid of Washington.

If we don’t die from ebola, we still have to dodge nuclear war. I heard part of Obama’s press conference. Obama accused Putin of doing everything that only Obama is doing.

If Obama believes what he told the press, he is utterly disinformed by his advisors. If he doesn’t believe the crude propaganda that he speaks, he is consciously leading the drive to war with Russia which probably means war with China as well and the end of us all.

Keep in mind that after eight years the US military was unable to successfully occupy Iraq and that after 13 years the US is unable to defeat a few thousand lightly armed Taliban in Afghanistan. Russia and China are not Iraq, Libya, or Afghanistan.

War with Russia will be nuclear. Washington has prepared for it. Washington has abandoned the ABM treaty, created what it thinks is an ABM shield, and changed its war doctrine to permit US nuclear first strike. All of this is obviously directed at Russia, and the Russian government knows it. How long will Russia sit there waiting for Washington’s first strike?

Russia hasn’t done anything except get in the way, belatedly, of Washington’s lies that Washington uses to start wars. Russia (and China) went along with Washington’s lies about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. Russia (and China) went along with Washington’s lies that Washington’s 13-year attempted conquest and occupation of Afghanistan had to do with finding Osama bin Laden. Washington (and China) fell for Washington’s deception that a UN resolution establishing a no-fly zone over Libya was for the purpose of preventing Gaddafi’s air force from bombing his own people, only to discover that Washington misused the resolution to send the NATO air force to overthrow the Libyan government.

When Washington drew a “red line” in the sand with regard to the Syrian government’s use of chemical weapons against the outside forces that Washington had organized and sent into Syria to overthrow the government, all the while pretending that these Islamists mercenaries were the true spokesmen for democracy in Syria, most of the world knew that Washington was about to organize a chemical attack and blame Assad. When the Washington orchestrated attack happened on schedule, this time Russia and China did not fall for it. And neither did the British Parliament. Washington was unable to produce any evidence for the charges that Washington made and hoped would bring in at least the British to support Washington’s military assault on Syria. Russia, however, was able to produce evidence, and the evidence foiled Washington’s plot against Syria.

Russia’s intervention angered Washington, as did Russia’s intervention that blocked Washington’s plot to attack Iran. Washington, devoid of all evidence and in contradiction to the reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency from inspectors on the ground in Iran that there was no diversion of uranium from the legal energy program to a weapons program, had Iran set up for attack. Iran was surrounded by about 40 US military bases and two of Washington’s fleets off its coast.

But in stepped Russia and worked out a deal, which Washington had to accept, that kept Iranian uranium enrichment at the low level used for energy, a level far below weapons requirements.

Two black marks agains Russia whose government prevented wars that Washington wanted. Russia (and China) were supposed to endorse Washington’s lies like the puppet states of Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan, countries that long ago gave up their sovereignty to Washington.

Unfortunately for Russia, Russia demonstrated that Russia had achieved sufficient power and influence to block Washington’s war plans and, thereby, brought into action against Russia the Wolfowitz Doctrine. I have cited this doctrine in recent columns, but you can google it and read it for yourself. The doctrine is the basis for Washington’s foreign policy and declares that the principle goal of Washington’s foreign policy is to prevent the rise of any country that could serve as a check on Washington’s hegemony over the world. (The doctrine explicitly mentions Russia but also applies to China.)

Washington is disturbed that Russia has twice foiled Washington’s war intentions and that the Parliament of the US Puppet State of Great Britain voted with the Russians. Washington is also concerned with the growing economic and political relations between Washington’s EU puppet states and Russia. EU countries, especially Germany, have numerous and profitable economic connections with Russia, and all of Europe is dependent on Russian supplied energy.

Washington concluded that Washington was in danger of losing its control over Europe. While the Russian government was asleep at the switch enjoying the Olympics, Washington pulled off its coup in Kiev.

Neoconservative Victoria Nuland, appointed by Obama as Assistant Secretary of State, announced at a press conference last December that Washington had spent $5 billion purchasing fifth column Ukrainian NGOs that can be put into street demonstrations to destabilize a government and on grooming and purchasing Ukrainian politicians who will serve as Washington’s stooges. Nuland, of course, described Washington’s purchase of Ukraine as “furthering democracy” in Ukraine.

Washington’s coup against a democratically elected government brought to power extreme elements that proclaimed their hatred of Jews and Russians. These elements destroyed Russian war memorials erected to remember Russia’s liberation of Ukraine from the Third Reich, passed legislation outlawing Russian as an official language, and engaged in violent physical attacks on the Russian speaking population.

Ukraine has always been an area of changing borders. As some have put it, “Ukraine is a country in search of borders.” When Ukraine was a Soviet province, Soviet leaders attached, for various reasons, traditional Russian provinces to the Ukraine Socialist Soviet Republic. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, pressure from Washington on a weak Russia resulted in the separation of Ukraine from Russia and this included Crimea, a part of Russia since the 1700s and Russia’s warm water port.

The Russian populations in the former Russian territories that Soviet leaders foolishly attached to Ukraine were alarmed by the extreme Russophobia of the government that Washington established in Kiev. The former Russian territories voted to rejoin their mother country and to depart the Russophobic US puppet state established in Kiev.

The Russian government accepted the request from Crimea, but not the requests from the other former Russian provinces in order to demonstrate to Europe that Russia was not provocative and not the source of the crisis. Putin even had the Russian Duma rescind his power to intervene militarily in Ukraine in order to protect the secessionist provinces.

This restraint hurt rather than helped the Russian government’s position. Washington used its propaganda machine to label self-determination by Crimeans as “invasion and annexation by Russia of Crimea.”

Russia’s restraint with regard to requests to rejoin Russia from the other former Russian provinces resulted in a Washington encouraged military attack by its puppet government in Kiev against the separatist provinces that Russia refused to accept. Washington’s propaganda then succeeded in blaming Russia for the war that Washington launched on the separatist provinces.

Washington is not interested in the truth, and Russia cannot win a propaganda war with Washington which controls the world language, which is English, the language of Washington’s propaganda. The Western media consists of idiots who are enabling Washington’s drive toward war and the extermination of life on earth.

If the Russian government had accepted the separatist provinces request, there would be no war. The Ukrainian government is demented and controlled by Washington, but it is not going to attack territories acknowledged by Russia as its territory.

By showing restraint, Russia has convinced Washington that Russia is weak, and Washington has increased the pressure. Russia has convinced Europe that there is no cost from Russia to Europe’s complying with Washington’s sanctions. By relying on good will, reasonableness, truth and evidence, Russia has misread Washington and its craven European puppets.

What Obama meant in his White House Press Conference today (August 1) when he said that Putin should use diplomacy–which Putin has been using to no effect–is that Putin should hand Crimea, over the objection of Crimeans and the Russian people, to Washington’s puppet government in Kiev so that Washington can evict Russia from its warm weather port and access to the Mediterranean Sea, thus making redundant Russia’s naval base at Tartus, Syria. Obama also wants Putin to send into the separatist areas of Ukraine, areas that traditionally were part of Russia, Russian military forces to subdue the breakaway territories for Washington’s puppet government in Kiev.

This is Washington’s “diplomatic” position. Only a totally demented person could regard Obama’s position as realistic.

As a person who is considered fair-minded by world media and who arrives at reasonable conclusions independently of Washington’s propaganda, I am often interviewed by foreign as well as US independent media organizations. As of late, the Russian media has turned to me on a number of occasions. What I have learned is that the Russian media is perplexed by Washington’s hostility to Russia.

Russia is not operating in the old Confederate South trying to turn the American South against Washington for Washington’s rapine, murder, and destruction of the Southern culture, but Washington is operating in the Russian South trying to turn Ukraine, long a part of Russia, against Russia.

As Russians, except perhaps for the government, are unaware of the Wolfowitz Doctrine, they do not know that the main goal of Washington is to prevent the rise of all other powers that could limit Washington’s role as sole Unipower, Hegemon over Earth.

Instead of realizing the real threat, Russian media organizations ask me if the Russian budget can stand responding to sanctions from Washington and the EU by cutting off the energy supply to Europe.

Each time I hear this question I am astonished. Russia can shut down much of European industry and deprive the Europeans of heat in winter, and Russian media ask me if Russia can afford it?

Can Russia afford to be demonized by lies, to be driven into the ground by propagandistic sanctions that will hurt Europe and some US corporations, to convey the image that Russia is so weak as to be helpless in the face of Western sanctions as to accept the sanctions without demonstrating the cost to Europe and the US? Does Washington even have Russians brainwashed?

I am concerned about the crisis that Washington has orchestrated, because I believe it is leading to war, which will be nuclear. Are you ready to be destroyed over Washington’s lies about one Malaysian airliner? I am convinced that Washington is behind the destruction of MH-17, because Washington’s propaganda show was already ready and was instantly in performance. That Washington is responsible is the reason that Washington will not release its satellite photos of the area during the moment of the airliner’s destruction. That Washington is responsible is the reason that Washington replies to Russian hard evidence with lies and propaganda. It is Obama and Obama’s stooges in Kiev that refuse to negotiate, not Russia.

Russia has as many nuclear warheads as Washington, and Washington’s “ABM shield” is a farce. If the insane American government drives a crisis, which Washington alone created, to war, we will all die, and for what? The answer is: for a Washington LIE. Do you want to die for a lie? Another Washington lie? If you don’t, you had better let Washington know.

Russia cannot end this crisis unless it puts its foot down. I have previously made the case that Russia should take its case to the UN. Alternatively, the Russian government needs to engage Europe in two questions. One is does Europe want its energy supplies from Russia cut off, energy that Washington, despite its lies, cannot replace for 3 or more years if at all.. The other is does Europe want war with Russia and does Europe think that those idiotic countries that host Washington’s missiles won’t be nuked and exterminated?

The crisis in Ukraine will continue to Russia’s and all of humanity’s cost until Russia explains to the stupid, arrogant, hubris-filled West that the West’s criminal and aggressive actions against Russia bear a real cost, and that Russia is prepared to impose the cost.

The propagandized people in the West have no idea of the fate toward which their demented governments are driving them. Russia needs to make it clear to the brainwashed propagandized peoples in the West that Russia is not going to be a puppet state of the West or to accept gratuitous aggression from the White House Fool.

It would help to save life on Earth if China also made this clear. The sooner the better.

Unless the world reins in the demented criminals in Washington, the world has signed its own death warrant.

Is Obama Insane?

"14 Reasons Obama Is Lying When He Claims The World Is ‘More Stable’ And ‘Less Violent’ Than Ever" July 17th, 2014

By Michael Snyder

With a straight face, Barack Obama has been repeatedly telling us that the world is "more stable" and "less violent" than ever.  In fact, he believes that this is the best time in history to be alive because of how peaceful and stable everything is.  And of course Obama is more than happy to take credit for his role in bringing all of this "stability" about.  Just this week, his press secretary told the media that this administration has "substantially improved" the "tranquility of the global community".  Apparently these guys don't think that we will notice all of the violence, war and terrorism constantly raging all around us.  It would be wonderful if the planet actually was becoming a more peaceful place, but instead the exact opposite is happening.  The world is becoming increasingly unstable, and if we aren't really careful we could see World War III break out before too long. But if you listen to Obama, he makes it sound like we are living in an emerging global utopia.  The following is an excerpt from remarks that he made during a White House event in June...
[T]he truth of the matter is that for all the challenges we face, all the problems that we have, if you had to be — if you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time. The world is less violent than it has ever been. It is healthier than it has ever been. It is more tolerant than it has ever been. It is better fed then it’s ever been. It is more educated than it’s ever been.

You can watch video of him making those remarks below...

And as I mentioned above, a similar statement was made by White House press secretary Josh Earnest on Monday...
"I think that there have been a number of situations in which you’ve seen this administration intervene in a meaningful way, that has substantially furthered American interests and substantially improved the, uh, you know, the – the tranquility of the global community."

In addition, posted below is video of Obama declaring that the world is "more stable" than it was five years previously during a speech to the United Nations last year...

It would be great if all of this stuff was actually true.  But I think that at this point not even Obama believes half the things that are coming out of his mouth.  He has told dozens of major lies while he has been in the White House, and the following are 14 reasons why Obama is lying when he claims that the world is "more stable" and "less violent" than ever...

#1 The downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 has brought Ukraine and Russia even closer to the brink of war.  The government in Kiev is blaming Russia and Russia is blaming the government in Kiev.  But Barack Obama does not seem too concerned about it.  During a speech on Thursday, he spent a mere 40 seconds addressing the downing of the plane before he began a 16 minute speech in which he told numerous jokes.

#2 If it wasn't for revolutionary Ukrainian groups funded by George Soros and the U.S. government (among others), the Ukrainian government may never have been violently overthrown and there might not have been a civil war in Ukraine at all.

#3 Relations between the United States and Russia are the worst that they have been since the end of the Cold War, and the economic sanctions that Obama just slapped on Russia are not going to help matters any.

#4 Israel has just launched a major ground offensive in Gaza, and many fear that a full-blown regional war in the Middle East could erupt at any moment.

#5 The civil war in Syria has been raging for several years now.  Thanks to the United States and Saudi Arabia, those seeking to bring down the Syrian government are very well armed.

#6 The civil war in Iraq continues to get even worse.  ISIS has already captured vast stretches of Iraqi territory and they are using American weapons to do it.

#7 The Kurds claim that ISIS is now using chemical weapons against them.  If this is true, it is really, really troubling news.

#8 The Iraqi government has told the United Nations that ISIS was able to steal 88 pounds of uranium from Mosul University.  Some experts are concerned that they may be able to use this material to create a dirty bomb (or worse).

#9 Barack Obama told us that we were "liberating" Libya, but instead we just transformed it into a war-torn wasteland that is constantly being fought over by warring militia groups.  Just this week, one of those militia groups launched a devastating attack on the main airport in Tripoli.  And the horrible fighting in Libya has spilled over into other nearby countries in North Africa such as Mali.

#10 Relations between the United States and Germany are at the lowest point that they have been since the end of World War II.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel was so furious when one U.S. spy was discovered recently that she expelled the top U.S. intelligence official from the country.  But Germany is far from alone.  The truth is that most of the rest of the world is sick and tired of our "Big Brother" behavior.

#11 Islamic terror group Boko Haram continues to cause havoc all over Nigeria.  The following is from a news report about an incident that happened earlier this week...
Suspected members of the deadly Boko Haram Islamic sect on Monday attacked Dille village in Borno State, killed 45 people and torched several houses and shops and forced many people to flee into nearby hills for safety. The terrorists, it was gathered, came in a convoy of over 20 vehicles and motorcycles. According to one of the villagers, Njimtiku Papka, who spoke to journalists in Maiduguri on the phone, the terrorists on arriving the village started shooting indiscriminately at everyone in sight.
#12 The ongoing civil war in the Central African Republic has forced hundreds of thousands of people out of their homes.

#13 There is horrible fighting going on inside Somalia right now...
A fierce and violent conflict erupted on the outskirts of Qoryoley district in Lower Shabelle between joint African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops and Somali National Army soldiers (SNA) against Al-Shabaab. The terrorist insurgents attacked an SNA and AMISOM military sitting in the town just outside Qoryoley when the battle initiated. Locals have reported to Shabelle that the fight also affected towns in the district like Maanyo Mudug, Farhanle and Abdi Ali.
#14 Things are not even stable in North America.  Horrific gang violence and warring between drug cartels in Central America and Mexico has been one of the factors that has caused millions of illegal immigrants to come pouring toward the United States.  Today, Honduras has the highest murder rate on the entire planet, and the Mexican drug war has claimed more than 120,000 lives since 2006.

Of course this is just a partial list.  The truth is that there are dozens of other conflicts that are happening all over the globe right now that could be added to this list.

So what would you add to this list?

Syrian Terrorists Set to Strike U.S. On Fourth of July

It's just a feeling I've been getting. The Al-CIA-Duh terrorists are returning home from Syria via France and the U.K., all the surveillance in the world can not find them, and they gave the FBI the slip. The script has already been written for the false flag, folks.

If not that I suppose the assassination of the Pope will do.

UPDATE: The Pope is safe for now, but something wicked this way comes.

These Are Interesting Times

According to a very interesting post:

"All these Things; in the Context of Apocalypse.

Dog Poet Transmitting.......

May your noses always be cold and wet.

It's an enigma to me (actually it's crystal clear) why certain politicized gays would object to Putin's very clear and narrow legislation, of an evil that is happening everywhere else and which he doesn't want running loose in Mother Russia. There are these spokesgays, prominent individuals, who deliberately evade what is crystal clear and claim "Vicious homophobia has been legitimized by this legislation and given extremists the cover to abuse people's basic human rights," Well, that's a lie. Putin goes out of his way, more than I would, to appease this strident minority, whose political intentions and culture morphing are on display for anyone to see  and these things are going on, seemingly off to the side, except when they broadside you in your local kindergarten, or in some university course, where certain opinions are given optimum headroom and anything contrary is rubber stamped, with one politically correct term of censure or another. The orders for all of this come from up top, where ancient bottom feeders (hmmm... "bottom feeders?") have bot-flied their way into positions of power, up down and sideways. What their intentions are, are quite transparent. Is this supposed to be okay? Is this supposed to serve some kind of an educational purpose? Is this altogether as necessary as reading, riting and rithmatic? This is part of a national science curriculum. There's little doubt who is behind this. Isn't it amazing that they can visibly and factually engage in such things in broad daylight? It's not for much longer because what they are pushing for is going to lead to the destruction of a particular environment out of which many of them have been operating. Evil destroys itself.

These and related things are all expressions of things gone haywire, haywire and enforced by cultural pressures with political and legal posturing and strictures. However, these are just obvious incidentals. It's really about it being an apocalypse and the loss of balance and sanity in both the rulership and the ruled. Insanity is rearing its twisted frame up into expression all over the place, such as in rural India.

A clear example of deliberate intent on the part of the establishment is the protection of truly vile individuals like this across a serious length of time, filled with complaints and nothing done. We're talking years here. Observe the magnitude of abuse at the hands of this seriously bent clown. Even now, as they allege investigating, nothing gets said. It seems pretty clear that they want the news to melt away before they go ahead and retire this sociopath with full pension. Don't think so? Watch for it.

Crazy is the order of the day and no one does crazy like those mendacious Tribe members. When they're not bringing odious relationship to their victimhood, they are constantly attempting to establish a historical basis for their presence, which is impossible without fabrication since they only came into existence around the eighth century and they have no DNA from that region, although the Palestinians do. In order to replace the Palestinians with themselves they keep stealing their land, revising history and changing the names of everything, as well as performing a daily genocide on them and when provocation to kill is not there, they head over into the desert and launch missiles at themselves, into empty areas of Israel to give them provocation to murder small children, women, men, livestock and olive groves. As time passes they become ever more despicable. No one on this planet can match them at it. It is amazing when one sits back and reflects on the harm done, as well as the wholesale looting (they definitely can get it for you wholesale). Just a few incidentals are being behind the Russian holocaust. It would have never happened without them. Being behind the Ukrainian holocaust. It couldn't have happened without them. Being behind the Armenian holocaust. It couldn't have happened without them. Being behind the slave trade to the new world, it might have happened without them but... it didn't. It serves to also mention the Federal Reserve and the manipulation of economies that torment most of the people on Earth, one way or another. And right up to present time they cavort in demonic glee, seeking terrible events and widespread carnage.

They are not the only dastardly scum on Earth, just the most well represented.

The pace is picking up in those places where demonstrations for the purpose of, are going to go down. We live in times of remarkable and ubiquitous corruption  It is literally everywhere. It's in high places, it's in low places. It's in mid range places. It's rampant in the White House it's in local governments. It's all through the Secret Service and the FBI. It's in local law enforcement, with the single peculiar anomaly of certain sheriff's departments. Let me not be too inclusive, there are good men and women out there in all kinds of locations and collective action is simmering below the surface everywhere. Always remember your present and coming moments in the context of Apocalypse. Remember that unveiling and revealing are two of the main duties of the force representing this time zone. It's been at a certain level of operation for awhile. Now, as I write these words, it is going to be picking up the pace.

In Geneva, or somewhere, I don't clearly recall at the moment, western powers, under the control of dual national, Zionist Tribe members are seeking to put the screws to Iran in whatever way they can, under the ludicrous disguise of diplomacy. On the other side, the voices of relative sanity, Russia and sundry, are trying to employ every tactical counter-move possible for them. Unfortunately, those representing The West are all under threat of blackmail and threat of grievous harm of some kind so, they have to keep on keeping on. Unless some kind of providence descends upon the matter, there will be war. Even now, the Zionist press is fabricating and trumpeting false evidence against Assad and the Syrian government. They are so secure in the uniform stupidity of the public that they take photos of other locations in the Arab world and pass them off as places in Syria. On the one hand, these dark entities are framing Assad and on the other hand they are committing or ordering all of the atrocities that Syria is being blamed for.

Because we are dealing with psychopaths, there is little likelihood that they will stop in their multi-pronged putsch to orchestrate world war, impoverish and divide the public against each other and profit from every evil and debased activity they can get up to. 'Monsters', hardly seems a fitting term. There is no word I know of that covers what they are.

I have to daily remind myself that all of what is taking place is taking place for a very good reason. Those who are savvy concerning 'esoteric' astrology can observe the moving into various positions of the planets, to create alignments and and varying expressions of force that manifest and outwork through human agency, as well as in environmental events and conditions. These arrangements of different force fields, are predictable ahead of time. Interpreting what they mean requires a degree of intuitive skill but there are those who see the writing on the sky. I forget who said it, probably Shakespeare, "A wise man rules the stars". I would think that most people imagine that means, he understands the interplay to the degree that he can adjust himself to any situation. Of course that would be true but it's more than that. The term speaks to one who is no longer affected by these forces because there is nothing in him that relates to what the planets are up to. Only those engaged are engaged because what happens is relevant to them in some way.

Whatever is going on in this theater of expression, is the outworking of an aggregation of collaborative conditions and states. The lower emotions and mindsets are all contributors to the ugly spectacles going on at far and near reaches; avarice, murky lusts, obsessions and compulsions, indifference, denial and ignorance are all major players. They reside where they are welcome and appreciated, like anything else. The end game is like an extra dimensional gameboard, or the levels of a video game. We are at whatever level our desires and allegiances have placed us. For us, that is the world we know. In an apocalypse, all of the worlds we know, the worlds all of us know, are brought to a resolution point and are summed up according to particular cosmic laws. This goes here and that goes there. It proves out that birds of a feather do flock together and the same applies to all forms of relocation. Nothing gets past this summing up and some things are profiting from this and are illuminated by it and for others it is quite the reverse.

These are what have been called, "interesting times". Though, as recently inferred, it depends on where you're standing. It depends on what you've been up to and it depends on what you believe to be real. That should do it.

Kerry Confirms Zionist/Saudi Control of U.S. Foreign Policy

You knew that Khon Kerry and the House of Saud are Jewish, right?

I had actually been hopeful and foolishly believed in the optimism until France stepped forward to fulfill Israel's wishes and then Kerry confirmed it by talking down the talks. I have to hand it to the Iranians, though; they are still in there trying.

"Kerry reassures Israel on Iran, but divisions remain" by Michael R. Gordon |  New York Times,  October 24, 2013

ROME — Secretary of State John Kerry, facing new frictions with America’s most important Middle East allies over its policies in the region, sought to assure Israel on Wednesday....

Before meeting with the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the residence of the US ambassador here, Kerry said the Obama administration welcomed the change of tone by Iran but “words are no substitute for action.”

Kerry is on the final leg of a three-day visit to European capitals focused on Middle East diplomacy, most notably US efforts to help start a peace conference on the Syrian conflict. But the trip has been punctuated by criticism directed at the United States from its main strategic allies, Saudi Arabia and Israel, and Kerry has been making an effort to assuage them both.

The Saudis, who are strong supporters of the Syrian insurgency, have been particularly upset over what they view as the Obama administration’s lack of resolve in acting against the Syrian president, Bashar Assad, who is now in some ways stronger politically than he was a year ago. Last week the Saudis rejected taking a seat on the UN Security Council in part to express their displeasure.

They have also voiced alarm over the Obama administration’s steps toward rapprochement with Iran, Saudi Arabia’s main rival in the Middle East, and are fearful that the United States could make compromises in negotiations....

The Israelis are even more alarmed at the possibility that the United States might be too pliant in trying to pursue a compromise with Iran. Netanyahu has called Iran’s nuclear program a guise for weapons development and the most serious security threat facing his country.

Kerry’s public statements before his meeting with Netanyahu were focused largely on reassuring the Israelis.

“No deal is better than a bad deal,” Kerry said, a phrase that US officials have frequently used in recent weeks to try to reassure lawmakers in the United States as well as Israel and Persian Gulf states that the White House will not make risky concessions.

Meaning there never really was going to be a deal.

But Netanyahu listed a range of steps that Israel says Iran needs to take to demonstrate that it is not developing nuclear weapons, steps that appeared to go well beyond a compromise that the United States and other world powers are prepared to explore with Tehran, which insists its nuclear program is for civilian use only. The United States and other world powers are scheduled to resume talks with Iran in Geneva on Nov. 7.

Netanyahu, in a joint appearance with Kerry, said Iran must get rid of all of its fissile material and should not be allowed to have any centrifuges to enrich uranium. Iran should also close its underground nuclear facilities and abandon its construction of a heavy-water plant that would produce plutonium, Netanyahu added.

And the Israeli plant at Dimona?

Having staked out broad demands on the Iranian nuclear program, Netanyahu argued that the international sanctions should not be eased in return for a “partial deal.”

Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians were also a major subject on Kerry and Netanyahu’s agenda, though not one they were prepared to discuss publicly in detail.

Trying to convey the impression that there is momentum in those talks, Kerry said Israeli and Palestinian negotiators had met 13 times and “are meeting even now.” Martin S. Indyk, Kerry’s special envoy for those talks, is in Jerusalem to facilitate the discussions, the secretary of state emphasized.

Indyk is not allowed in the room at the request of the Israelis.

Despite the multiple meetings, it is not apparent what, if any, headway has been made. When the talks began in July, Kerry said the goal was to complete a comprehensive Middle East peace agreement in nine months, and a third of that time has elapsed.

Kerry has been trying to move the talks along; he met recently in London with Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, and has had frequent conversations with Netanyahu. Kerry has set aside the entire afternoon and evening for his discussions here with Netanyahu.

On Monday in Paris, Kerry met with senior diplomats from the Arab League to maintain Arab support for the talks.

In an apparent effort to influence Israeli public opinion, Kerry noted on Monday that Prince Saud al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia had endorsed the concept of Middle East peace, one in which Israel would have normal relations with all Arab and Muslim nations.

But Qatar’s foreign minister, Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, suggested in a joint appearance with Kerry on Monday that the United States needed to put more pressure on Israel and play more of an active role in suggesting compromises. Attiyah said “actual” US participation in the negotiations was needed.

Kind of hard when his appointed representative is kept out of the room.

Other places Kerry has visited in his recent swing through the region:

Kerry presses Israel over peace negotiations

[It is nice to see Kerry turn his sharp tongue towards one of America's true enemies, Netanyahu.  Oh, to have been a fly on that wall.] -- Americans Grow Weary of Serving the Repulsive State of Israel

UPDATE:

“Let me ask you something: How, if you say you’re working for peace and you want peace and a Palestine that is a whole Palestine that belongs to the people who live there, how can you say we’re planning to build in the place that will eventually be Palestine?” Kerry said in the interview, causing much consternation among Israeli commentators."

That must be what he meant.

Kerry persists as Mideast talks flounder

It bears all the hallmarks of shuttle diplomacy, even though I was told he was not doing that.

"Syrian opposition undecided on talks, John Kerry says; Leaders will meet next week about Geneva conference" by Michael R. Gordon and Alan Cowell |  New York Times, October 23, 2013

LONDON — Saudi Arabia has wanted the United States to do more to train and arm rebel fighters. And the Saudi leadership was hoping that President Obama would order a cruise missile attack on the Syrian military in response to what Western and Arab powers said was the Syrian government’s Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack near Damascus.

“We know that the Saudis were obviously disappointed that the strike did not take place,” Kerry said, referring to the cruise missile attack the White House had planned before it seized on a Russian alternative proposal to eliminate Syria’s chemical weapons program.

Saudi Arabia has also been worried that the Obama administration may be too eager to seek a compromise with Iran over its nuclear program and was unhappy that Washington did not take a stronger stance against the Muslim Brotherhood when President Mohammed Morsi governed Egypt.

He defended those remarks and the NYT edited it out when I'm staring at the phrase in my printed version?

As for the Morsi and the Egyptian MB, the Saudis and others were ready to float them a loan after he turned down the IMF. Then the U.S.-approved coup went forward and the Saudis flipped. They are now providing aid to the generals. It is worth noting that the MB is an exten$ion of oil-rich emirates and such.

Kerry said he had discussed these issues with Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi foreign minister, when he met with him Monday in Paris.

Saudi Arabia was among the 11 nations that issued the communiqué Tuesday, and Kerry insisted that the Saudis and Americans were now “on the same page” regarding Syria.

He reassured us and them that ties are solid

The London talks group also included representatives of Britain, Egypt, France, Germany, Jordan, Italy, Qatar, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

"In an apparent warning to Iran, Secretary of State John F. Kerry on Sunday tried to reassure America’s Arab friends that the United States will not allow them to be attacked ‘‘from outside,’’ in an apparent warning to Iran. ‘‘The United States will be there for the defense of our friends and our allies,’’ Kerry said. ‘‘We will not allow those countries to be attacked from outside. We will stand with them.’’ Kerry added that the United States would never allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons."

Good thing they are not building them then.

“If there aren’t more constraints put on the Iranian centrifuge program, then you haven’t accomplished very much at all,” David Albright, the president of the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, said on a recent conference call organized by the Israel Project, a nonprofit organization.... The potential agreement was derided by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, who called it the “deal of the century” for Iran and said that Israel rejected it unequivocally."

"Kerry said during his recent visit to Israel that the United States was asking Iran, as part of an interim accord, to agree to a “complete freeze over where they are today.”

But when it comes to continued settlement expansion by Israel....  it's all calibrated toward Iran while destroying any two-state solution (which has already been destroyed by Israeli land seizures).

"It is remarkable that these talks are continuing, considering that they have always been doomed to failure primarily because the United States has its orders from its Jewish masters to make sure these talks fail…. Israel does not want peace, they only want war, and they definitely want their minions in the United States to attack and destroy Iran.

Obama is Okay?

MONDAY MORNING UPDATE:

He must be because I saw this first off when I logged in today. Now they are "warning" him, huh? Israel is "mortified," and Nuttinyahoo is coming to present "fresh intelligence" -- which would account for the shit smell coming from the brief case. Yeah, he is going to "tell the truth" as the Israeli government is dismayed over this "nightmare.... (drum roll, please).... the capability to build a nuclear weapon without actually possessing one. That scenario is unacceptable to Israel."

Which HAS NUCLEAR WEAPONS that they stole from the United States and developed in a way they accuse Iran. That's something you need to realize about the Israelis: any charge they levy against an enemy is something of which they themselves are guilty.

So now the goal line has been moved from posessing an actual weapon to being able to build a weapon -- which Iran could do if they wanted (not without it being noticed by NSA spying programs, which have detected nothing of the sort in Iran, but don't let that get in the way of the Zionist war narrative for God's sakes) because they have nuclear power stations.

So is the FALSE FLAG ATTACK already in the works, Bibi?? Or are you just going to take action in the region and force Obama's hand to stand with and defend Israel?

*************************

I don't know what to make of this guy or what is going on behind the scenes. It was the same with JFK back in the day. As for the current occupant, there are so many of his policies I oppose, so much of his rhetoric I don't care for, and the dictatorship through executive order is discouraging.

Then there are things like this that come from my Zionist prism I call a newspaper:

"For Israel and Persian Gulf states like Saudi Arabia, Obama’s historic telephone call was the geopolitical equivalent of discovering your best friend flirting with your main rival.... Obama’s overtures to Rouhani were greeted with alarm in Israel and in other Middle East capitals allied with the United States.... a dire threat that could upend the dynamics in this volatile region."

Given that and the backdown on Syria for whatever reasons, thankfully, I'm like what is this guy doing?

Has he finally seen the light and is no longer fearful of the Zionist Media Machine that can destroy presidencies? Does he no longer care knowing that we will see an attack on him as a validation of our analysis? If the long buried alphabet scandals are dredged up again that will surely expose them, and any attempt at assassination will be blatantly obvious. Love you or hate you, we have your back on that one, sir.

Has the Globalist faction outmaneuvered the Israeli Zionists on this one? Knowing Israel is a complete pariah and its government psychopathic, has the international banking system decided to cut them loose in favor of the larger global project? Is it possible the U.S. has cut a deal with Russia to outflank Israel? Such things come when there is a loosening of the Zionist grip on a government (the U.S. Congress voting down war on Syria), and with such a loosening often come false flag attacks. Any big bang anywhere in the U.S. will instantly be answered with a question -- who benefits?

Is it possible some of Obama's massive NSA spying (a key piece which has been ignored by the Amerikan jewsmedia) was also working on identifying dual-national Israeli traitors to America and possible Mossad spying operations inside America? That certainly isn't going to be something on which the mouthpiece media is going to blow the whistle, either.

Or maybe the new peace president and War Party are creating a ruse as they contemplate further action abroad. It's not like Obama has called off the Syrian mercenaries or other covert projects around the world. Sudan smells suspicious this morning. Looks like the secession and split of oil supplier South Sudan was not good enough because the pipeline runs through the north. Thus we get another "Arab Spring," and calls for change after the racist U.N. war criminal charges didn't work. The Project for the New American Century remains a go, but are they excising the Israeli component? Has Israel finally been outed?

UPDATE:

[Barack Obama stands on the verge of pulling-off one of the greatest reversal of fortunes ever witnessed by a democratic politician---if the Obama/Putin gambit is successful, then Obama may turn his diplomatic/military defeat in Syria into a Comprehensive Middle East Peace Treaty.  This magnificent feat of "jujitsu" politics, if successful, will undercut every antagonist involved in this great international soap opera known as the Middle East, including the Zionist state of Israel.  The broad elements of a Middle East breakthrough of unbelievable proportions can be seen developing in the following report from Lebanon's Daily Star....

Obomber is Insane

I dismissed the early reports that were out there. I figured the guy is president, someone would notice; after some recent comments and yesterday's strange performance, I'm really, really frightened about this guy leading the nation now.

Here's why:

The first comment I really found odd was his recent notion that the disarming and dismantling of Syria's chemical weapons supply was actually his idea. That really raised a red flag with me. The psychological and personality issues surrounding such a delusional deception to oneself is troubling to say the least. Then he claimed credit again even as I'm told the deal defers outside intervention for the foreseeable future. Or is that just my war-promoting newspaper giving as all a fake again? They said the French invasion of Mali would be months away, and weeks later they went it. In any case, Obomber reserves the right to commit war crimes.

Yesterday was what did it for me, though. In the small clip I saw of the remarks he made about the Washington Navy Yard shooting his eyes looked heavy and he looked like he was on drugs. That only added to my concerns. It was the comments he made about the economy that were startling:

"Obama, conceding lingering problems such as a stubbornly high jobless rate and a growing income gap between the richest and poorest Americans, noted that the country has come far from where it was five years ago ‘‘but that’s not the end of the story. As any middle-class family will tell you or anybody who’s striving to get in the middle class, we are not yet where we need to be.... After all the progress that we've made over these last four and a half years, the idea of reversing that progress is the height of irresponsibility.’’ The president said that he inherited the financial ills when he was elected in 2008."

Did he just pass the buck? After five years and a filibuster-proof Congress for the first two? He hasn't fixed the ills after five years? Then why the hell did the American people bother to have him selected for them?

And is it just me, or are these "ceremonies" commemorating the collapse of Lehman Brothers odd? Who celebrates such things?

And ABOUT THAT ECONOMY he is TALKING UP:

"Rates of unemployment for the lowest-income families — those earning less than $20,000 — have topped 21 percent, nearly matching the rate for all workers during the 1930s Great Depression."

That is not counting those not counted because they gave up looking for work and are sponging of friends and relatives now, and history will record the current one as the Grand Depression.

"The 400 people posted a combined net worth of $2 trillion, up from $1.7 trillion a year ago. That marks their highest combined value ever. The increases aren’t surprising, given that net worth for the wealthiest people has risen in the years since the financial crisis, widening the gap between the exceptionally well-to-do and the rest of the country."

Yeah, that was TRILLION with a CAPITAL T!

"Since the recession officially ended in June 2009, the top 1 percent have enjoyed the benefits of rising corporate profits and stock prices: 95 percent of the income gains reported since 2009 have gone to the top 1 percent compared with a 1 percent increase for the remaining 99 percent."

Which means the remaining 99% saw a decline when the Fed's monetary inflation (prices up because of continued printing of $85 billion to buy up Wall Street's crap every month. No one else is buying AmeriKan bonds or investing in AmeriKa anymore. I know the banker's mouthpiece isn't telling you that, but....) and deflation (because of the Fed's actions your dollar's purchasing power is a lot less, American) is taken into account.

Yup, corporate profits hit a record high and are in a golden age but the labor market $till $tinks. Judging by the time frame, this economy is on the verge of collapse -- thus the need to rush to war!

"The richest Americans got richer during the first two years of the economic recovery while average net worth declined for the other 93 percent of US households, a report released Tuesday said."

Then the "recession" never ended, and we are in the midst of the Great Depression and yet you would never know it by the corporate pre$$:

"The economy is showing strength as summer endsStill, most of the growth in the number of people working is due to fewer layoffs rather than strong hiring. Many employers remain reluctant to fill jobs. Also, many of the jobs created this year have been part-time positions in industries with generally low pay, such as hotels, retailers, and restaurants. Such jobs leave consumers with less money to spend."

Thanks to Obombercare, but Obomber says that's progress and it's the official lie so the Fed can stop the printing pre$$es before the money supply balloon explodes.

And what that pos propaganda is telling you is there IS NO JOB GROWTH! Holding on to the job and not being laid off is NOT GROWTH!

Looks like Obomber has company in the insane ward of the asylum.

"Americans’ cautious spending on clothing extended into August, capping a weak back-to-school selling season for retailers. The results raise questions about whether Americans will spend during the winter holidays in November and December. While the back-to-school season, which runs from mid-July through mid-September, is not an absolute predictor of how Americans will spend during the winter holidays, it does offer insight into consumers’ mindset. Thursday’s tally adds to evidence that while jobs are easier to get and the turnaround in the housing market is gaining momentum."

But the conomy is showing strength says an article that was published the same day on the preceding page of my newspaper. Talk about mixed me$$ages as they are ALREADY PROMOTING CHRISTMAS?

UPDATES:

"But a report out today from the National Priorities Project (NPP) shows that the country is handing more than $1 trillion to the already-wealthy. That’s right, the government is cutting services and laying off hundreds upon hundreds of thousands in the name of cutting deficits, while handing more than $1 trillion a year to the wealthiest. The rest of us pay taxes and suffer cuts in jobs and services to make up this lost money. According to the report, lots of 1%ers will pay no taxes at all this year....

Memo to Washington: The Occupy Movement Lives

Gee, that's one anniversary the corporate media is missing.

These are the benefits of the economy as Obomber sees them. No wonder his approval ratings are way down

At least his party will reign him in, right?

"On Monday, Obama sought to recenter the focus on the economy. Chris Lehane, a former Clinton adviser, said that while Obama has “a year or so left to get something done domestically,” the current political situation might require a new approach. “It’s thinking about what you as president can do that doesn’t necessarily require Congress.”

I'm sorry, but that is an IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE, a violation of the U.S. Constitution, and a dictatorship -- and there is likely nothing worse on this earth than an insane dictator in charge of AmeriKa's military arsenal.

And while we are on the topic of lying and the economy, check out this whopper:

"The fight pits Democrats against Republicans on how to address the series of across-the-board cuts known as sequestration. Democrats want to alter many of the cuts and replace about half of them with tax increases on corporations and high-earning individuals. Republicans, who gave ground on taxing high earners during the budget showdown at the end of last year, generally oppose any tax increases and want to restore military funding while making deeper cuts to domestic programs."

I guess he doesn't even read his own paper.

That's one hell of a tax "increase," huh?

Yeah, everything is responsible for the imploding economy except the private central banking Ponzi scheme known as the Federal Reserve -- or so says the banker's mouthpiece

I must be insane for reading it.

That's the definition, right? Keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

Every day I open it expecting to find some truth, and yet every day it is loaded with distortions, obfuscations, omissions, divisions, distractions, elitist insults, and outright lies.

I Am Too Angry to Blog

It has nothing to do with the changed format, which is fine I will fix it to my specifications later, it's the whole war push on Syria and the president working harder than he ever has on anything these last five years. It's the whole fleet of AIPAC lobbyists being deployed to cajole and threaten U.S. lawmakers. It's the sickening sight of John Kerry.

How long ago it seems that I came here with dewey-eyed enthusiasm for blogging about what the Boston Globe or New York Times was reporting. How hard I worked to make sure the Republicans did not steal the 2006 elections, and how I blogged to keep them from taking it from Obomber. How utterly naive was I? How unenlightened, even then?

Now I have found that nothing is to be believed when it comes from official news sources. Seeing is not believing, and others may not be whom they seem. The betrayals sting, Mr. President, and now I believe only in myself. I don't know everything in the world, and I don't have to. I know enough.

Anyhow, you didn't get a whole lot of cens*red profanity or rage here. Just a matter of fact statement taking the pulse of this post.

Lindsay Graham Says Nuclear False Flag on the Way

Graham: Nukes In Hands Of Terrorists Could Result In Bomb Coming To Charleston Harbor

"Now this is a bit concerning, because we have this other story about US nuclear warhead(s) being moved to the East coast without a proper paper trail, and back in 2007 there was the "bent spear" incident in which six nuclear-armed cruise missiles were mounted on the pylons of a B-52 and flown from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana. There (we are told) the "mistake was discovered" and the nuclear cruise missiles returned to Minot Air Force Base, but there was some confusion as to whether all six made that return rip, leaving one nuclear weapon potentially loose inside the United States unaccounted for. The idea that six nuclear weapons could "accidentally" be mounted on wing pylons is hard to accept given the stringent protocols in place to guard these most costly and dangerous pieces of hardware. So, now we have Lindsey Graham trying to build support for war with Syria and Iran by warning of a nuclear terror attack. Absurd? I would normally think so, but the latest whip tally shows the Syria war resolution headed for defeat in the House of Representatives, and the war hawks need something "dramatic" to (As Don Rumsfeld put it) "Remind Americans of the threat!" Planes into skyscrapers are now passe'. So would they actually set off a nuke inside the US to get their World War back on track? I would not bet against it." -- WhatReallyHappened

Neither do I, and that's why I holler out loud every time I see an inkling of such a thing.

"Cornered animals, and cornered governments, are very dangerous, and we are, unfortunately, living with a cornered US government right now.

President Obama cannot seem to staunch the bleeding from self-inflicted wounds to this administration, which include Benghazigate, IRSgate, APgate, Obamacaregate, and NSAgate.

The US government is broke and in debt to the tune of trillions upon trillions of dollars.

This economy is truly on the ropes, with more of what used to be middle class jobs getting offshored/outsourced by the minute.

The value of the US dollar has been absolutely destroyed by the "quantitative easing" policy of the Fed, which means that people who diligently saved for their retirement are now in deep economic trouble.

There is talk, particularly between China and BRIC nations, about ditching the US dollar completely as the world's reserve currency, and replacing it with a BRIC reserve currency (just announced at the G-20, to the tune of 100 billion dollars), or with China's gold-backed yuan. Australia and New Zealand have just signed financial agreements with China to bypass the US dollar completely in trading with China.

So the panic is on to keep the dollar as the reserve currency of the world, even if that means creating a false flag to prod US citizens into supporting war, any war; as long as that war means the "stability' of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency.

It looks as though, on Capital Hill, the Syria Resolution may well not be passed in the House; but don't think that will stop the war buzzards, AIPAC, or Israel from attempting to get what they want, and by any means necessary.

IF it appears that this legislation will not be passed by Congress, look for some nasty false flag, either by the US itself, and/ or Israel, to be conjured up, leading to war with Syria, and creating a wider war in the region.

Because the real prize here, is not Syria, but Iran, in order to force Iran to sell all of its oil in US dollars. Regime change in Syria, according to the current thinking in DC, is simply a prelude to regime change in Iran.

Don't believe me?!? Here's what Lindsey Graham warned his constituents yesterday!!

That is the actual argument he made to a local gathering of constituents: Graham wound up his case on Syria intervention by raising the stakes considerably. He painted a frightening picture of cascading world events that would reverberate far beyond the borders of a civil war in one Middle Eastern country. If the United States doesn't deal with Syria, Graham promised Iran would acquire a nuclear weapon by 2014, the King of Jordan would be deposed and Israel would start preparing to protect itself. "I believe that if we get Syria wrong, within six months -- and you can quote me on this," Graham said, pausing for dramatic effect. "There will be a war between Iran and Israel over their nuclear program. "But it wouldn't even end there, Graham surmised. Undoubtedly, he said ominously, the Iranians would share its nuclear technology with U.S. enemies."My fear is that it won't come to America on top of a missile, it'll come in the belly of a ship in the Charleston or New York harbor," he said.

In this Orwellian threat-mongering statement to his own constituents, Graham may well have tipped his hand as to what comes next relative to Syria: some kind of massive false-flag here in America, or against an American asset which can be blamed on Syria (and/or Iran) as the "justification" for attacks against both countries." --  WhatReallyHappened

The 800-Pound Gorilla in the Room

I'm not giving Obomber any credit for going to Congress because he still wants to bomb and has the slavish John (Kohn) Kerry out front furiously shoveling.

"Administration officials said the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee was already at work pressing for military action against the government of Assad, fearing that if Syria escapes American retribution for its use of chemical weapons, Iran might be emboldened in the future to attack Israel. In the House, the majority leader, Eric Cantor of Virginia, the only Jewish Republican in Congress, has long worked to challenge Democrats’ traditional base among Jews.

One administration official, who, like others, declined to be identified discussing White House strategy, called AIPAC “the 800-pound gorilla in the room,” and said its allies in Congress had to be saying, “If the White House is not capable of enforcing this red line” against the catastrophic use of chemical weapons, “we’re in trouble.”"

You did know Israel did 9/11, right?

And now they are angry at Obomber:

"Israeli media commentators criticized Obama for appearing indecisive, after signaling last week that a US military strike was imminent.... commentators in Israel fearing a weakening of US resolve in confronting hostile powers."

Yes, it is finally time.... to deal with the Jewish question.

So what could Israel do to top 9/11?

Explode a nuclear device in Chicago, maybe the one that went "missing," and place the blame on Iran and Syria?

BEWARE the IDES of SEPTEMBER, world!!

Another question is why the Globe totally edited my printed version and cut all the AIPAC references from the web version of their pos. I'm not the only one who noticed.

Really makes you think, you know.

Another official, who acknowledged having deep doubts when the president disclosed on Friday night his desire for a congressional vote — he said he first thought, “Whoa, why are we doing this?” — by Sunday had joined some other doubters in deciding the gambit was a good one, and would succeed.

“At the end of the day, we’re not going to lose the vote,” a third official said.

No matter WHAT the American people (or the world we are saving) want or think!

Before the meeting got underway, the Saudi foreign minister, Prince Saud al-Faisal, urged the international community to stop the Syrian government’s “aggression” against its people.

How rich!

It is the SAUDIS that gave the Al-CIA-Duh insurgents the chemical weapons they used to carry out attacks!!

Saudi Arabia has been one of the principal supporters of the Syrian opposition, and Kerry consulted by phone on Sunday with Prince Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi Arabia’s intelligence chief and secretary general of its national security council.

"President Gains McCain’s Backing on Syria Attack" by JACKIE CALMES, MICHAEL R. GORDON and ERIC SCHMITT

WASHINGTON — The White House’s aggressive push for Congressional approval of an attack on Syria appeared to have won the tentative support of one of President Obama’s most hawkish critics, Senator John McCain, who said Monday that he would back a limited strike if the president did more to arm the Syrian rebels and the attack was punishing enough to weaken the Syrian military.

So they are going to get their escaltion anyway, huh?

In an hourlong meeting at the White House, said Mr. McCain, Republican of Arizona, Mr. Obama gave general support to doing more for the Syrian rebels, although no specifics were agreed upon. Officials said that in the same conversation, which included Senator Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican, Mr. Obama indicated that a covert effort by the United States to arm and train Syrian rebels was beginning to yield results: the first 50-man cell of fighters, who have been trained by the C.I.A., was beginning to sneak into Syria....

Meaning they, Al-CIA-Duh, were already in there.

“It is all in the details, but I left the meeting feeling better than I felt before about what happens the day after and that the purpose of the attack is going to be a little more robust than I thought,” Mr. Graham said in an interview.

So it is NOT going to be LIMITED! I'm SO SICK of the LIES!

Mr. McCain said, “Like a lot of things, the devil is in the details.”

Or, in this case, in the form of Tomahawk cruise missiles.

In remarks to reporters outside the West Wing, he called the meeting “encouraging,” urged lawmakers to support Mr. Obama in his plan for military action in Syria and said a no vote in Congress would be “catastrophic” for the United States and its credibility in the world. Mr. McCain said he believed after his conversation with the president that any strikes would be “very serious” and not “cosmetic.”

Although the words from Mr. McCain and Mr. Graham were a positive development for Mr. Obama and a critical part of the administration’s lobbying blitz on Syria on Monday, the White House still faces a tough fight in Congress. Many lawmakers entirely oppose a strike, and others favor a resolution that would provide for more limited military action than what is in a draft resolution that the White House has sent to Capitol Hill....

Apparently, what the White House sent over was a Bush-like document that would enable Obomber to bomb anywhere, anytime, as long as he cites chemical weapons threats.

A Labor Day conference call with five of Mr. Obama’s highest-ranking security advisers drew 127 House Democrats, nearly two-thirds their total number, after 83 lawmakers of both parties attended a classified briefing on Sunday.

See how fast these guys fly into action when Israel concerned, as they dawdle on the budget, student loans, health care, you know, the things we thought we were getting when the taxes were taken out of the pay.

Pertinent committees are returning to Washington early from a Congressional recess for hearings this week, starting Tuesday with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which will hear from Secretary of State John Kerry, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Yup, the RU$H to WAR is ON!

“The debate is shifting away fromDid he use chemical weapons?’ to ‘What should be done about it?' ” said Representative Adam B. Schiff, a California Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, in an interview after the Monday conference call....

So HE HAS BOUGHT the ISRAELI GARBAGE "evidence" and "intelligence."

In Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey V. Lavrov dismissed as unconvincing the evidence presented by Mr. Kerry of chemical weapons use by the Syrian government. “We were shown certain pieces of evidence that did not contain anything concrete, neither geographical locations, nor names, nor evidence that samples had been taken by professionals,” Mr. Lavrov said in a speech at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

That didn't make my printed Boston Globe. WTF?

In Israel, President Shimon Peres offered strong support for Mr. Obama’s decision to seek the backing of Congress, saying he had faith in the president’s “moral and operational” position. “I recommend patience,” Mr. Peres said in an interview on Army Radio. “I am confident that the United States will respond appropriately to Syria.”

I bet he i$.

In Washington, the White House’s “flood the zone” effort, as one official called it, will continue.

Have they EVER WORKED SO HARD on ANYTHING the last five years? WTF?

Classified briefings will be held for all House members and senators on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

On Tuesday, Mr. Obama has invited the Republican and Democratic leaders of the House and Senate defense, foreign affairs and intelligence committees to the White House. But that night, he will depart on a long-planned foreign trip, first to Sweden and then to Russia for the annual Group of 20 summit meeting of major industrialized and developing nations, a forum that is sure to be dominated by talk of Syria, and bring Mr. Obama face to face with Mr. Assad’s chief ally and arms supplier, President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

House Democrats on the conference call with administration officials, which lasted 70 minutes, said Mr. Kerry, who has been the most aggressive and public prosecutor for military action, took the lead. Democrats said he had portrayed not only the horrors of chemical weapons inflicted on Syrian civilians in the Aug. 21 attacks outside Damascus, but also the potential threat, if left unanswered, that such weapons posed to regional allies like Israel, Jordan and Turkey....

Never mind the USraeli use of such weapons, from Vietnam to Palestine to Lebanon, Iran, and Afghanistan.

And the whole$ale fumigation of South America under the banner of a drug war?

In the week since the Obama administration began moving toward a military strike on the Assad government, Mr. Kerry said, the Syrian military has had about 100 defections, including 80 officers.

Uh-huh. You don't really think we are buying this same happy horse s*** that was hucked out on Iraq, do you?

General Dempsey reviewed the range of possible targets and how the Pentagon is planning strikes that would minimize risk to civilians.

You want to minimize risk? Don't do this over damnable lies!

General Dempsey told lawmakers the military had “additional options” should a first missile strike not deter....
