Prison Inmate Found Dead

Why only sketchy details?

"Prison inmate, 41, found lifeless in cell

Police are investigating the death of an inmate early yesterday at the state prison in Concord. No foul play is suspected, but authorities are investigating the cause of death, said Diane Wiffin, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Correction. The inmate, William Driscoll, 41, whose last known address was in Waltham, was found by a correctional officer conducting rounds at the facility about 5:45 a.m. He was pronounced dead at 6:20 a.m. at Emerson Hospital. Wiffin said that the prison's emergency medical procedures were followed. Driscoll was serving a two-to-three-year jail sentence for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was up for parole in January 2010 (Boston Globe)."
