"Patrick takes center stage, heaps praise; Says Obama understands voters' needs" by Brian C. Mooney, Globe Staff | August 27, 2008
DENVER - Patrick's remarks capped a whirlwind day. He had returned to Massachusetts from Denver late Monday and yesterday attended the funeral of Paul E. Conlon, the 21-year-old Army private first class who was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan 12 days ago. He was joined by Senator John F. Kerry and Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray. They returned to Denver in chartered jet, landing about five hours before Patrick's scheduled remarks."
What was the carbon footprint on that?
MASHPEE - Soldiers carried the coffin of Army Private First Class Paul E. Conlon out of Christ the King church in Mashpee yesterday. Led by a choir, family and friends sang "Amazing Grace." Some muffled their sobs, as the community said goodbye to its second service member in less than a week.
Conlon, 21, was killed Aug. 15 in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan while riding in a Humvee. Just four days before, Mashpee laid to rest Marine Private First Class Daniel McGuire, who was killed while on duty in Iraq. The two men died a day apart.
Governor Deval Patrick, Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray, and Senator John F. Kerry flew back from the Democratic National Convention in Denver and sat in a front pew for the funeral. Mourners dabbed their eyes with balled-up tissues. His mother, Maria Conlon, cried in the front pew.
Then he went back and gave a rousing speech, don't ya know?

Yeah, thanks for voting for the damn pack of lies, Kerry, and thanks for spewing the crap from your news pages, Globe!
Thanks for keeping us there with your lies, too!
