KIGALI - Rwanda accused senior French officials yesterday of involvement in the 1994 genocide that killed 800,000 people, naming late President Francois Mitterrand, former Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and others. France's Foreign Ministry said officials were reviewing the accusations, which were contained in a report, and they did not immediately comment. Hutu militias slaughtered minority Tutsis and politically moderate Hutus from April to July 1994. French officials have repeatedly denied that France aided or directed the Hutu forces.
