Livni the Loser

"Israeli prime minister pressed to exit" by Reuters | November 28, 2008

PETACH TIKVA, Israel - Prime Minister Ehud Olmert came under pressure from his own party yesterday to step aside after the attorney general announced he was considering indicting him on fraud and bribery charges.

"The prime minister must take leave. There is no other option," Foreign Minister and Kadima party leader Tzipi Livni told party members at an emergency meeting near Tel Aviv.

Olmert's advisers said the prime minister, who resigned in September but continues serving in a caretaker capacity until a new government is formed after a Feb. 10 election, had no intention of leaving office early. Yesterday he convened a meeting of legislators and policymakers to discuss plans to combat the crisis in the Israeli economy, including a proposal to provide a "safety net" for battered pension funds.

That is what the BILLIONS in American aid is for!

Olmert's decision to stay could set the stage for a showdown with Livni, who is in the midst of a tough election campaign to succeed him as prime minister after failing to form a new coalition last month. If Olmert stepped down by taking a leave of absence, Livni would then take over as caretaker premier, giving her a potential boost going into Election Day....

Won't be enough; not with rabid Bibi in the wings.

The Justice Ministry said on Wednesday that Attorney General Menachem Mazuz told Olmert he was considering bringing criminal charges against him over allegations he submitted duplicate bills to Jewish organizations abroad and inflated travel costs while serving as Jerusalem mayor and another Cabinet post. --more--"

Notice how the Zionist-controlled AmeriKan MSM keeps that corruption quiet?

I wonder why: "Olmert's behavior was routine for Israeli politicians"

What behavior, you ask?

Say Goodbye to Ehud Olmert

And yet he is somehow still around.

Not for much longer, but maybe long enough.
