One Side of the Ossetia Conflict

I pick and post because I bought the darn paper.

I saw it on the Times' website article (yes, I still occasionally go there); however, I vvvvvt... was out, didn't like it.

"US sends aid mission to Georgia; Demands Russia withdraw forces" by Steven Lee Myers, New York Times News Service | August 14, 2008

WASHINGTON - President Bush sent American troops to Georgia yesterday to oversee a "vigorous and ongoing" humanitarian mission, in a direct challenge to Russia's display of military dominance over the region. His action came after Russian soldiers moved into two strategic Georgian cities in what he and Georgian officials called a violation of the cease-fire Russia signed the day before.

Bush demanded that Russia abide by the cease-fire and withdraw its forces or risk its place in "the diplomatic, political, economic, and security structures of the 21st century." It was his strongest warning yet of potential retaliation against Russia.

The decision to send the American military, even on a humanitarian mission, deepened Washington's commitment to Georgia and America's allies in the former Soviet sphere, just as Russia has been determined to reassert its control in the area.

A senior Pentagon official said the relief effort was intended "to show to Russia that we can come to the aid of a European ally, and that we can do it at will, whenever and wherever we want." At a minimum, American forces in Georgia will test Russia's pledge to allow relief supplies into the country; they could also deter further Russian attacks, though at the risk of a potential military confrontation.

And CUI BONO? WHO wants THAT, huh?

"We expect Russia to ensure that all lines of communication and transport, including seaports, airports, roads, and airspace, remain open for the delivery of humanitarian assistance and for civilian transit," Bush said. "We expect Russia to meet its commitment to cease all military activities in Georgia, and we expect all Russian forces that entered Georgia in recent days to withdraw from that country."

And how about ISRAEL in regard to PALESTINE, asshole?

Or US in IRAQ for God's sake?

As someone said yesterday, SHUT UP!!!

In Georgia, President Mikhail Saakashvili, who has sharply criticized what he called a failure of the West to support his country, declared the relief operation a "turning point" in the conflict, which began on Thursday when Georgian forces tried to establish control in the breakaway region of South Ossetia, only to be routed by the Russians.

Yeah, CLEAN UP the GEORGIAN INVASION with a big fat fucking lie, Zionist press!!!!!

Saakashvili interpreted the aid operation as a decision to defend Georgia's ports and airports, though Bush administration and Pentagon officials quickly made it clear that would not be the case. A senior administration official said, "We won't be protecting the airport or seaport, but we'll certainly protect our assets if we need to."

Yeah, this could get real hairy, real quick!!!!

And CUI BONO?

Bush's remarks, like the military operation he ordered, reflected a growing apprehension within the White House over Russia's offensive, as well as mounting frustration that Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, whom Bush often calls a friend, was unmoved by appeals for moderation.

Another LIE about Russia!!!

And the U.N and IRAQ, asshole president, sir, on the appeal to moderation bit!!!

So SHUT the FUCK UP, ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first relief aircraft, a C-17 transporter carrying medical supplies and materials for shelter for thousands displaced by the fighting, arrived in Tbilisi, Georgia's capital, yesterday; a second is due today.

Rice called her Russian counterpart, Sergei V. Lavrov, and informed him about the relief operation. The presence of US troops to help the aid mission would also allow the United States to monitor whether Russia was honoring the cease-fire. At a news conference at the State Department, Rice evoked some of the darkest memories of the Cold War, though she stopped well short of promises of direct military support to Georgia.

"This is not 1968, and the invasion of Czechoslovakia, where Russia can invade its neighbor, occupy a capital, overthrow a government and get away with it," she said. "Things have changed."

Why not? The US and Israel get away with it all the time!!!!

Of course, Russia didn't invade, but we are dealing with a lying, agenda-pushing Zionist War Daily here!

And yes, Ms. Rice, things have changed; the world is no longer going to take USraeli shit!!!!!!!!!!!

She and Bush gave credence to Georgia's accusations that Russian forces continued to operate in violation of the cease-fire. Russian officials denied that troops had occupied any cities, but some of the statements appeared to rest on technicalities of what constituted occupation."

Coming from the Zionist-controlled AmeriKan MSM, that is a GOD-DAMNED INSULT!!!!

Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, assholes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing as we are still on one side of this thing:

"Militias accused of torching villages; Georgia says Russians are breaking truce" by James Kilner, Reuters | August 14, 2008

It is ALL ONE-SIDED PROPAGANDA, readers, so BRACE YOURSELF!!

Also, keep this in mind: Georgians Burn Civilians to Death in Church

IGOETI, Georgia - Squeezed into goods trucks, Georgian refugees described yesterday how militia groups looted and burned their villages in an area abandoned by Georgia's army after a war with separatists.

In Tbilisi, the Georgian government accused Russia - which backs the separatists - of breaking a cease-fire by sending soldiers beyond the rebel region to capture Georgian equipment. The Russians rejected the allegation. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov vowed to tolerate no looting.

For the hundreds of refugees traveling through Igoeti, a village 35 miles from South Ossetia on the main road to Tbilisi, Georgia's accusations were of no consequence. They had already lost everything.

"All the young men have been killed. The Ossetians are shooting them," Zurab, 45, screamed from the back of a goods truck piled with people. A young girl in the truck stared blankly into the distance. A woman standing on the roadside wailed.

Zurab said he had escaped from a village near Tskhinvali, focus of the fighting, before South Ossetian militia moved in. His accusations that South Ossetian militia - not under Russian control - were killing young men could not be independently verified. But US envoy Matthew Bryza said he had received reports of violence in Georgian villages.

Oh, so we got a GEORGIAN LIAR on our hands here, huh?

Dutifully parroted by the agenda-pushing Zionist MSM and AmeriKan government, how about that?

Like putting lies in the NYT and then quoting same lies to get into Iraq, right?

"We have credible reports of villages being burned, shootings and killings," Bryza told a news briefing in Tbilisi. He urged Russia "to make sure they are doing everything possible to restrain irregular forces, South Ossetian or otherwise, from violence against the peaceful population."

I don't listen to AmeriKan liars anymore, readers. Do you?

Lavrov later vowed to clamp down on any looting in the area. "I spoke today with [Secretary of State Condoleezza] Rice and she told me there are reports of acts of looting in Gori, that illegal groups are looting the city and Russian troops are doing nothing," he told reporters.

"I said from the very beginning that if any such facts prove true, we will react in the most serious way. . . . The peaceful population should be protected. We are investigating all these reports and will not allow any such actions.

Russian officials denied Georgian allegations that their troops were in Gori. Russia's General Staff denied other reports that its forces were moving toward the Georgian capital. But the New York-based Human Rights Watch also issued a statement yesterday detailing pillaging in Georgian villages around the breakaway region.

Human Rights Watch "witnessed terrifying scenes of destruction in four villages that used to be populated exclusively by ethnic Georgians," the organization wrote. "According to the few remaining local residents, South Ossetian militias that were moving along the road looted the Georgian villages and set them on fire."

You know, it is not like I don't believe them (aklthough I'm starting to doubt); however, I'm tired of western-centric (and thus Zio-centric) human rights blatherers that IGNORE PALESTINE!!!!

If they didn't MINIMIZE WESTERN CRIMES I wouldn't be as strident with them.

South Ossetia broke away from Georgia after a long series of clashes after the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union. Ossetians are ethnically different from Georgians with their own language.

Yeah, and they were autonomous before GEORGIA INVADED!!

I say GIVE THEM INDEPENDENCE (like Kosovo) or LET THEM BECOME part of RUSSIA!!!!

Russia has accused Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili of triggering this week's fighting by trying to recapture South Ossetia. Saakashvili said he was reacting to Russian aggression."

Was it ever theirs?

I really am tired of the distorting Zionist MSM, let me tell you!
