How Massachusetts Residents View the Economy

Wow, what a difference from what the state and media say!

The public must be considering all the DEBT we have taken on.

"Mass. consumer, business confidence drop in July

Consumer and business confidence fell in Massachusetts, according to two surveys. The Massachusetts Consumer Confidence Index dropped four points to 50, the lowest level in the survey's history, according to the latest quarterly report from Mass Insight, a research and consulting firm. That compares with a 12-point fall in national confidence and a 22-point regional plunge. The New England consumer confidence index of 27 is just two points shy of the all-time low recorded in October 1990. Business confidence fell 4.3 points to 44.6 in July, a recessionary level, with the lowest reading since May 2003 and the second-lowest reading since late 2001, according to the Associated Industries of Massachusetts Business Confidence Index. The survey's national index, which measures local businesses' view of the US economy, fell to 35, the lowest in its 17-year history (Boston Globe)."

Gee, to hear the papers tell it, things are bad, but they are not that bad.

Yeah, I am sick of being lied to, how did you know?
