Feds Tell Maine to Freeze

I told you the feds couldn't be counted on for the $$$.

That all going for wars, banks and Israel!

"Federal fuel aid inadequate, official says

A state official says a federally funded program to help poor people heat their homes this winter will provide an average payment of $415 for 51,000 households. JoAnn Choate, MaineHousing's housing and fuel assistance program director, said the aid is not enough to cover 100 gallons of heating oil at today's prices. She said her agency expects to provide eight to 10 days of heat per home. MaineHousing allocates funds from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program to 10 community action agencies that disburse it to residents who make less than 60 percent of the average state income. For a family of four, the cutoff in eligibility is $38,101 (AP)."

Good thing there is global warming.
