The Boston Police Department is investigating a woman's complaint that she was sexually assaulted by an officer while he was on duty.
The complaint stems from an incident during which police dispersed a large crowd that was drinking alcohol in a field on Blue Hill Avenue, said Officer James Kenneally, a department spokesman.
