"Former coach arraigned in alleged rape
A former custodian and junior varsity basketball coach at Everett High School was arraigned yesterday in connection with the alleged rape and indecent assault of a 12-year-old boy, according to the Middlesex district attorney's office. Robert J. Shea, 57, was arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court on three counts of child rape, four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and open and gross lewdness, said the district attorney's office. Shea allegedly repeatedly raped and assaulted the boy in the former Everett High School building and at his residence over a period of months in 2007. Shea was ordered to pay cash bail and abide by release conditions, including no unsupervised contact with children under 16, until his next court date in September (Boston Globe)."
