McCain Would Torture Himself

It's actually very, very sad and not at all funny.

If the Constitution means nothing, why are we REALLY fighting, readers?

To ENRICH a SELECT FEW and advance a NARROW, ELITE AGENDA?

Think about it.

This post makes me sad.

"McCain, Obama spar over trying terrorism suspects

Seeing an opening on the terrorism issue, John McCain's campaign is bashing Barack Obama for suggesting, after last week's US Supreme Court ruling giving Guantánamo Bay detainees the right to challenge their detentions in federal court, that terrorism suspects should be prosecuted in civilian courts as criminals.

Obama, in an interview aired on ABC News Monday evening:

"In previous terrorist attacks - for example, the first attack against the World Trade Center - we were able to arrest those responsible, put them on trial. They are currently in US prisons, incapacitated. And the fact that the administration has not tried to do that has created a situation where not only have we never actually put many of these folks on trial, but we have destroyed our credibility when it comes to rule of law all around the world, and given a huge boost to terrorist recruitment in countries that say, 'Look, this is how the United States treats Muslims.' "

Oh, yeah, are they ever going to come down on him for that one!

In dueling conference calls with reporters yesterday, McCain's foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, said Obama is advocating a "policy of delusion" that reflects a "Sept. 10th mindset," while Senator John F. Kerry said McCain has an "Iraq war mindset" that blinds him to America's real security challenges.

I cover that a click or two down in this post, and I'm really tired of the flogging of the false-flag of 9/11!

I bought it for three years, but that's over now -- way over!!!!

Shove it, Scheunemann!!!!!

McCain's campaign ratcheted up the back-and-forth by calling on his former rival, Rudy Giuliani, who made his national reputation as New York's mayor during and after the Sept 11 attack:

Giuliani said in a written statement:

"Barack Obama appears to believe that terrorists should be treated like criminals - a belief that underscores his fundamental lack of judgment regarding our national security. In a post-9/11 world, we need to remain on offense against the terrorist threat which seeks to destroy our very way of life."

Ummmm, you should keep your head down, Rudy, 'cause...

Who Told Giuliani the WTC was Going to Collapse on 9/11?

We Need Answers Rudy Giuliani

Obama hit back, telling reporters on his campaign plane:

"[Republicans have no] standing to suggest that they've learned a lot of lessons from 9/11. Let's think about this: these are the same guys who helped engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9/11. What they're trying to do is what they've done every election cycle, which is to use terrorism as a club to make the American people afraid (Boston Globe June 18, 2008)."

I agree with him on principal if you can GET PAST the LIES, dude!!!

Because we need to be very afraid that you-know-who might be planning ANOTHER FALSE-FLAG OPERATION!

Only thing is WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE WILL KNOW NOW, and WE AIN'T BUYIN' NO MORE!!!!!!!!

And where did they come up with this stuff?

One place they raised torture techniques was from the Soviets; however, this article doesn't tell you that.

Words like "freedom" are ringing quite hollow, aren't they, 'murkns?

Are you PROUD NOW?!

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks pursued abusive interrogation techniques once used by North Korea and Vietnam on American POWs despite stern warnings by several military lawyers that the methods were cruel and even illegal, according to a Senate investigation.

You should be ASHAMED, John-boy!

The U.S. using the same techniques those "gooks" used on you!

The findings, detailed in a hearing yesterday, brought rebukes of the Pentagon effort from Democrats and Republicans alike.

Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, an Air Force Reserve colonel who teaches military law for the service:

"The guidance [administration lawyers] provided will go down in history as some of the most irresponsible and shortsighted legal analysis ever provided to our nation's military and intelligence communities."

This is the same guy?

"Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said he would draft a constitutional amendment to restore the executive branch’s tyrannical power."

The hearing is the Senate Armed Services Committee's first look at the origins of harsh interrogation methods and how policy decisions were vetted across the Defense Department.

First look? After ALL THESE YEARS?!

Why do I smell election year fooleys?

Its review fits into a broader picture of the government's handling of detainees, which includes FBI and CIA interrogations in secret prisons. The panel is expected to hold further hearings on the matter and release a final report by the end of the year.

Yup, a report "by the end of the year" -- when ALL the CRIMINALS will be PARDONED and LEAVING!!!!

I say START the TRIALS!!!!

"In addition to Bush, suspects in the alleged conspiracy include a who’s who of top officials in Bush’s first term, principally Dick Cheney, Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, John Ashcroft, Donald Rumsfeld, George Tenet and their aides, says ABC News."

Among its initial findings is that senior Pentagon lawyers, including the office of general counsel William "Jim" Haynes, sought information as early as July 2002 regarding a military program that trained US troops how to survive enemy interrogations and deny foes valuable intelligence.

Much of the training program, known as "Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape," or SERE, is based on experiences of American prisoners of war in previous conflicts, including those in Korea and Vietnam. In response, SERE officials provided Haynes's office a list of tactics that included sensory deprivation, sleep disruption, and stress positions.

And worse!!! Look at the read the post and look at the links.

Haynes, who resigned his post in February, testified that he remembers receiving the information, but that he did not recall requesting it personally. Several of those techniques, including stress positions, were later approved by Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld in a December 2002 memo for use at Guantanamo Bay.

WAR CRIMINAL #1!!!!!!!

Rumsfeld and Haynes agreed to the methods, despite objections by military service lawyers that they might be illegal."

Now, readers, why would the Globe's website CUT THIS?!

Yeah, there is no BIAS for McCain!

Col. John Ley of the Army's Judge Advocate General office in November 2002, wrote:

"Whatever interrogation techniques we adopt will eventually become public knowledge. If we mistreat detainees, we will quickly lose the (moral) high ground and public support will erode.''

Well, they have already done that!

And it has been SEVEN LONG YEARS -- with no end in sight!

We are USING SOVIET TECHNIQUES!!! Puke!!!

And now the kicker...

Notably absent from the hearing Tuesday was the Senate's biggest champion of detainee rights and the top Republican on the committee, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. A former prisoner of war, McCain has become less visible on the issue of detainee treatment since becoming a presidential candidate."

Until YESTERDAY!!!

And yes, he was NOTABLY ABSENT!

And how about that STRAIGHT TALK MYTH the MSM LOVES, huh?
