"Armored car guard robbed after pickup
An armored car guard was assaulted and robbed yesterday after he picked up money from a Market Basket in Lowell. The guard was walking out of the store in Endicott Plaza about 9:52 a.m. when a man attacked him and stole the bag of money. By the time police arrived the suspect had fled. The money was not recovered. Though the suspect did not show a weapon, he kept his hand in his pocket, which indicated that he may have had a weapon, police said in a press release. The guard was taken to Beverly Hospital (Boston Globe)."
