"Rainy weather proves no deterrent for Clinton
CATANO, Puerto Rico - It rained on Hillary Clinton's parade.
Yesterday, was meant to be a joyous and celebratory day for the New York senator, who is widely favored to win today's Puerto Rico primary. She planned a long day of caravanning through small towns in the San Juan area, waving and smiling from the back of a white truck, a more accessible and festive version of the bus caravans through small-town America that helped her Bill Clinton win the presidency in 1992.
And while campaigns are used to planning back-up locales in case of inclement weather, the idea hardly seemed necessary today. It's the end of May; it's Puerto Rico. It's supposed to be sunny. Clinton campaign staff issued motherly warnings to reporters covering the eight-hour road trip to wear appropriate clothing and to bring sunscreen. But instead, Clinton encountered on-and-off showers, and she gamely continued her last hours of campaigning (sometimes with the aid of an umbrella).
Awwwwww, isn't that nice? Hitlery is such a mother to the reporters!!!!
These are the same people she and her husband are accusing of biased coverage, right?

Judging by the wording, the MSM press is sucking Clinton cheek beautifully, no?

The Obama campaign applauded the party's Rules and Bylaws Committee's handling of the emotion-charged disputes in an often-raucous televised meeting in a Washington hotel. But the committee's decision on the Michigan primary, which Clinton won in January by a wide margin after other contenders took their names off the ballot, left Clinton's supporters fuming and threatening to take the fight to the party's nominating convention in Denver in August....
When the Michigan outcome was announced, Clinton's supporters sitting in the packed gallery booed and jeered the committee.

They stood and cheered when Harold Ickes, an influential committee member and one of Clinton's top advisers, defiantly announced to the panel that Clinton "reserves her right to appeal" the matter at the convention, hinting at a bare-knuckles fight the party had sought to avoid.
Well, we all understand the dynamics behind Hillary's conduct, the inability to accept defeat for something she was promised.
And unfortunately, Obama's church pastor was right!!!
"Behind all the rhetoric during the meeting about democracy and on and on and on, I am stunned that we have the gall and the chutzpah to substitute our judgment for 600,000" Michigan voters, Ickes said. "I submit that hijacking [Clinton delegates] is not a good way to start down the path of party unity."

Obama now has 2,052 delegates, 66 short of the 2,118 he now needs to win. Clinton now has 1,877.5 delegates, 241 short of what she needs. The compromise outcome deprived Clinton of the extra delegates from Florida and Michigan that she had hoped for to wage a serious challenge.
Given the acrimony in Washington, the party could face a tougher struggle in November against presumptive Republican nominee John McCain.... Clinton supporters protested outside the Washington hotel where the meeting took place....
And, of course, those protesters get coverage!

As she fell behind Obama, Clinton argued more emphatically that her wins in those states should count. Campaigning last week in Florida, she compared her fight to the voting rights struggles of black people and women and warned that Democrats were in danger of repeating the 2000 Florida presidential vote debacle....

The issue of the disputed Michigan and Florida primaries became a focal point of anger for Clinton supporters, and busloads of them arrived in Washington to protest - many of them Clinton campaign volunteers. Holding placards and shouting slogans like, "Count every vote!" they demanded that the Democratic National Committee honor all the primary votes and pledged delegates from Florida and Michigan.
Arlene Faracchio, 73, and Myrtice Tomkins, 62, both decked out in T-shirts emblazoned with "Florida Demands Representation," took an overnight bus ride from Jacksonville to voice their displeasure.
"They might as well just chop Florida off the map," huffed Tomkins, who lives in Madison County in Florida. "They don't claim us anyway. They are destroying the Democratic Party."
