Mass. Gas Relief

"Mass. average gas price rises 6¢ to $3.61 a gallon

The average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline in Massachusetts rose 6 cents to $3.61 in the weekly survey from AAA Southern New England, the first increase since early July. AAA blamed Hurricane Ike for the increase. Massachusetts is currently 23 cents below the national average of $3.84 for regular unleaded. A year ago, the average price in Massachusetts was $2.65, AAA Southern New England said (Boston Globe)."

How did we get so lucky?

"United Airlines to charge $50 for 2d bag each way

United Airlines, the number two US carrier, is doubling the fee for checking a second bag on domestic flights to $50 each way, blaming higher jet-fuel costs. The increase applies to tickets bought starting today for travel Nov. 10 or later, the airline said. First- and business-class customers and United's frequent fliers don't have to pay the new charge. United said its added charges, including the bag fees, will produce $700 million in revenue next year. UAL Corp. shares rose $1, or 8.8 percent, to $12.36 (Bloomberg)."

Unless people stop flying, which I would advise in any case.

Make them go out of business, and maybe this invasive tyranny (based on damnable lies) will end.
