War Contractor Kickback

Hey, not EVERYBODY has to pay taxes, hmmm.

Yeah, they STOLE BILLIONS but still try to evade their "patriotic" duty.

When is America going to wake up to the war pigs and toss them in the river?

"Payroll law limits defense contractors

President Bush yesterday signed a bill preventing defense contractors from avoiding the payment of Social Security and Medicare taxes by hiring American workers through offshore subsidiaries.

He then issued a signing statement saying the war pigs could ignore the tax payments.

The tax provision was introduced by Democratic Senators John Kerry of Massachusetts and Barack Obama of Illinois and Representatives Rahm Emanuel of Illinois and Brad Ellsworth of Indiana. Congress's Joint Committee on Taxation has estimated that the provision will bring in $846 million to Social Security and Medicare over the next decade. The provision was introduced after The Boston Globe reported that KBR, a former Halliburton subsidiary, had avoided paying hundreds of millions of dollars in payroll taxes by hiring its American workers in Iraq through companies registered in the Cayman Islands. (Globe Staff June 18, 2008)."

To bad the Globe wasn't out in front of all that and helped stop this mess.

Oh, right, they cheered it along the whole way while denigrating antiwar folk -- which they still do, by the way.

Hey, that would expose their complicity in the whole monstrosity.
