Local Lunacy: How the New York Times and Boston Globe Broke My Heart

I add this post because it shows to what depths both the Boston Globe and New York Times have sunk. It is with a heavy heart and watering eyes that I have to report this.

The fact that the Globe and Times censored and ignored these particular facts means you really can't believe in them at all anymore -- not even the content of what they choose to print.

Let's get it over with. What I did was post the Globe pieces below, then went and read the local. What I found made my jaw drop and my heart shatter.

Iraq
: "The U.S. military said it killed four suspected militants, captured five others and destroyed two safehouses Saturday southwest of the city. American soldiers called in airstrikes and killed the four men after coming under small-arms fire, a military statement said."

Gee, if the Globe and Times decided to edit this information from their stories, and lied to us about the war from the start, what am I to think? WHAT ELSE are they NOT TELLING US?!

Protests: "India is already facing such effects. The government on Wednesday hiked gasoline and diesel prices, triggering protests by angry consumers who blocked rail tracks and roads and shut down businesses."

WTF?! Why the SELECTIVE COVERAGE of protest, Globe and Times? Case closed on the two big War Dailies. I'm really starting to get irritated.

Environment
: "FRANKLIN, IND. — Severe storms crippled central Indiana with as much as 10 inches of rain Saturday and spawned tornadoes that ripped up roofs and flipped tractor-trailers in Wisconsin and the Chicago suburbs.

The floods in Indiana threatened dams, inundated highways and forced the Coast Guard to rescue residents from swamped homes. To the northwest, Chicago-area residents ran for cover as tornadoes touched down throughout the region."

Why do I think HAARP, readers?

COLUMBIA, N.C. (AP) — A wildfire that has burned nearly 31,000 acres in eastern North Carolina may smolder for months as it burns decayed vegetation, a state official said on Saturday."

Why did the Globe and Times keep these quieter than Burma and China? I mean, you really start to wonder after a while. What is it, not wanting us to know the country is going down the drain as Bush is getting ready to exit? Speaking of Burma, here's why they didn't get any coverage today:

Burma: "Five UN-chartered helicopters have arrived in Burma's main city Rangoon, to boost efforts to deliver aid to victims of the cyclone that tore through the country five weeks ago, a spokesman said."

They let in help and it's not in the Burma-bashing Times or Globe. Pffffttt! Remember, readers, these stories are in my Sunday local. I'm looking right at them.

And here is the worst for last. This may have been in the Times at some point, but I no longer read the New York Times (not even its web site) because I am so tired of their lying biases, obfuscations and distortions. And the Globe is just as bad (why not? It is OWNED by the Times). You ready for some tyranny, folks?

American Tyranny: "NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD is expanding its use of the Taser stun gun, a common tool in the law enforcement arsenal that's seen limited use in the nation's largest police force. Starting Wednesday, thousands of police sergeants will begin carrying electronic stun guns on their belts....

Stun guns can be valuable when dealing with psychologically distressed people who might mean no harm but who are acting violently and have lost their ability to comply with an officer's orders. Some critics have questioned whether the devices are used too hastily and on vulnerable people. Amnesty International has counted more than 300 deaths since June 2001 in which a Taser was used against someone."

Thank God I don't live in New York City. But the SLOW CREEP of FASCISM is upon us, no doubt about that, America. And you think the Times and Globe are going to alert us?

They are the AGENDA PUSHERS of the whole thing, and after today never has it been more obvious -- and painful -- to me.

You can't believe a word they print anymore without suspecting some other motivation (which is usually the divisive, agenda-pushing purpose), you can't trust the journalism because it is backwards, upside-down, inside-out information that is 180-degrees from the truth (reflecting the bias of the owners and controllers of said institutions), and given their failure to acknowledge their lies of the past you can not trust them to report the news accurately going forward.

A sad day indeed. The New York Times and Boston Globe have FAILED the American people, and the only place to turn is the BLOGS. They are the ONLY ONES getting out the truth.

Good night.
