The Globe Luuuuvvvs the Guv

Whose gonna fund it? Pfffft!

The SAME AS ALWAYS: the SET-UPON TAXPAYERS!!!

Spread those cheeks, citizen!

"Several people briefed last week, including business and union leaders and advocacy groups, lauded the governor's proposals, but said that the true challenge lies in funding many of the initiatives."

Of course, that doesn't bother the Globe editorial board, who has taken a liking to the governor.

"Education reform 2.0"

".... The report is also expected to reinforce the administration's support for longer school days, especially as a means to restore art, music and enrichment classes in the lives of low-income students.

Thankfully, there is no indication that the Patrick administration will be retreating into the education tar pit of low expectations or social promotions. The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System test, which all students must pass in order to graduate high school, remains intact....

I know a couple teachers around here, and they hate the damn tests.

That's all they are teaching the kids: how to memorize things to pass the tests so the state funding doesn't get cut and receiverships ordered.

And this stink town is like $1 million in the whole as it is! Might as well be a billion for this poor podunk.

Not like schools aren't closing already or anything; of course, it's better to be giving state subsidies to rich actors and corporate favorites.

Of course, the Globe goes on in the editorial to BASH SCHOOL BOARDS and BASH TEACHERS -- further advancing the idea of STATE CONTROL over our SCHOOLS!

Now that I SEE WHAT the AGENDA IS, I understand now!!!!

But that doesn't stop them:

The administration still needs to explain in detail how it intends to pay for such changes.

Drop them pants, citizen/taxpayer.

But the archenemy of education reform - complacency - is on the run."

To turn into what, another Patrick victory, Globe?

Pffffttt!
