Burma Not So Bad

Makes you kind of wonder as to the reasons for the Zionist-controlled, agenda-setting, AmeriKan MSM's bashing earlier.

Please, no more agenda-pushing, enemy-creating lies.

P.S. The China articles have been absent lately.

I guess that crisis is "
over" for now.

"Post-cyclone toll called less than feared" by New York Times News Service | June 18, 2008

RANGOON, Burma - More than six weeks have passed since Cyclone Nargis swept through the Irrawaddy Delta in southern Burma, leaving a trail of flattened villages and broken lives and arousing international sympathy that turned to anguish as the military government obstructed foreign aid.

Now doctors and aid workers returning from remote areas of the delta are offering a less pessimistic picture of the human cost of the delay in reaching survivors.

They say they have seen no signs of starvation or widespread outbreaks of disease. While it is estimated that the cyclone may have killed 130,000 people, the number of lives lost specifically because of the junta's slow response to the disaster appears to have been smaller than expected.

So maybe their lack of response wasn't all the Zionist-controlled, agenda-pushing MSM made it out to be, huh? WTF?

Relief workers here continue to criticize the government's secretive posture and obsession with security, its restrictions on foreign aid experts, and the weeks of dawdling that left bloated bodies befouling waterways and survivors marooned with little food. But the specific character of the cyclone, the hardiness of villagers, and aid efforts by private citizens helped prevent further death and sickness, aid workers say.

And yet the Zionist MSM was screaming bloody murder due to Burmese negligence!

Pfffft!! I'll never believe them again -- about ANYTHING!

Most of the people killed by the cyclone, which struck on May 2-3, drowned. But those who survived were not likely to need urgent medical attention, doctors say.

"We saw very, very few serious injuries," said Frank Smithuis, manager of the mission of Doctors Without Borders in Burma. "You were dead or you were in OK shape."

But the MSM was pushing how, terrible, terrible, terrible the Burmese generals were for not letting the U.S. and its agents hit the ground!

They were kicking kids out of shelters and letting people twist in the wind!

I don't even want to comment anymore; sick of refuting MSM lies!!!

The cyclone swept away bamboo huts throughout the delta. Some survivors carried away by floods found themselves many miles from home when the waters receded.

But those who survived were not likely to be injured in the aftermath by falling rocks or collapsing buildings, as often happens during natural disasters, like the recent earthquake in China.

That appears to be the primary reason villagers were able to stay alive for weeks without aid. As they waited, the survivors, most of whom were fishermen and farmers, lived off of coconuts, rotten rice and fish.

"The Burmese people are used to getting nothing," said Shari Villarosa, the highest-ranking US diplomat in Burma. "I'm not getting the sense that there have been a lot of deaths as a result of the delay."

After the MSM spent weeks excoriating the Burmese government for "blocking" the West!

Pffffffffftttttt!!!!!!

Oh, yeah, and the American people KNOW HOW THEY FEEL!

But the MSM can't let it go at that. Gotta back-hand the Burmese

"Burma farmers fret over harvest; Storm aftermath delays normal planting season" by Associated Press | June 18, 2008

KYUNG GWIN, Burma - The US Department of Agriculture said in an assessment last week that the delta normally produces about 60 percent of Burma's rice and the outlook for this year's crop is "very uncertain" after the storm flooded paddy fields with sea water, damaged irrigation systems, and destroyed seed supplies....

Once the world's top producer, Burma has seen rice exports drop from nearly 4 million tons to about 40,000 tons last year, after four decades of military rule and disastrous economic policies...."

There they go again!!

Yeah, and I'm sure the globalist plan for world starvation has had nothing to do with this "natural" disaster!

Oh, and this was a strange oversight and omission for the Zionist press.

Aung San Suu Kyi is Burmese for CIA

They just slip, or is she another tool to be employed when needed?
