"US August consumer prices fall 0.1%; Fuel costs retreat 5.9% in Boston, but food climbs 1.9%" by Bloomberg News | September 17, 2008
WASHINGTON - US consumer prices fell in August for the first time in almost two years as fuel costs declined from record levels, the Labor Department said yesterday in Washington.
Yesterday's figures also showed how lower prices helped American workers last month. Still, price-adjusted earnings were down 2.5 percent over the last 12 months. The decline in purchasing power is one reason economists forecast consumer spending will slow in the second half of this year.I'm so sick of the lying shit shovel over this shit economy by the MSM!!!!
By the time I get to the business section I am choking off all the lies!
