Pennsylvania Poll Problems

Here we go again!

"Potential Problems at the Pennsylvania Polls"

"MSNBC reports Obama campaign claiming that some voting machines were breaking down or not working, particularly in Philadelphia's African-American precincts."

Why is that completely unsurprising and downright expected in these quarters?

Update:

"Early Polling Issue Reported In Green Tree"

"
The polls had only been open for about an hour before we started to hear from some voters who say they had problems casting their ballots.

Poll workers think a short power outage may have caused an early issue for about two-dozen voters in Green Tree.

According to Debbie Moskala, some voters had to use paper ballots to cast their vote because of a glitch with one of the machines at the Marian Manor senior living facility...."

"
Democrats hit polls early; some voting glitches reported"

"....
A few minor glitches were reported at election polling places in Allegheny County this morning....

Because of the expected large turnout, election judges' difficulty getting machines started at a polling place in North Braddock and another in the city's Banksville section prompted some concern.

At these two sites, election judges, clerks and inspectors, all nominally paid volunteers, initially were unable to print out verification that the voting machines had been set at zero....

Post-Gazette readers also reported problems at one or two polling stations this morning, including Graham Field and Beacon Hill in Wilkinsburg...."

"Casting confusion with sample ballots"

"The way it seems to have worked is that ward leaders who support Obama requested sample ballots with Obama's name at the top and Obama delegates listed below, and vice versa for ward leaders supporting Clinton. There have been complaints, though, of Clinton ballots being handed out in Obama wards."

Update II
:

"Tuesday's Election Will be 'Unrecountable, Unverifiable, and Unauditable'..."

"On Tuesday night, you will be told who the winner of the Pennsylvania Primary is. You will accept it. You will have no choice. No matter who the winner really is. Or isn't.

This Tuesday's crucial contest will be primarily run on 100% faith-based, Direct Recording Electronic (DRE, usually touch-screen or push-button) e-voting machines across the state. There will be no way to determine after the election whether the computers have accurately recorded, or not, the intent of those voters who voted on them. As VerifiedVoting.org summarizes the crucial contest, it "will be essentially unrecountable, unverifiable, and unauditable."
