Occupation Iraq: AmeriKan Extortion and the Price of Oil

This article was in the local yesterday, and I found myself wondering why the Boston Globe and New York Times -- those great bastions of AmeriKan media -- ignored these important events -- or did I just miss them?

:-)

"Iraq's Financial Free Ride May End"

Oh, is that what the Iraqis have been getting -- a free ride?

Then explain the destruction of their country and the nearly 2 million dead!!

And
Bush's mass graves!!!

".... [Congress'] bill also would require that Baghdad pay for the fuel used by American troops and take over U.S. payments to predominantly Sunni fighters in the Awakening movement. Plans are to propose the legislation as part of a war bill to cover spending through September...."

As one blogger noted somewhere else:

"
How is this different from a gang of thugs, breaking into your home, raping your wife, shooting your son, kidnapping your daughter and trashing the place out, then demanding that YOU, the victim, pay the gangsters for their time and trouble?"

How's that for an extortion racket?

The arrogance is stunning and beyond belief!!!!

A primary cause for the unhappiness in Congress is the high price of oil as the U.S. heads into election season. While Americans are complaining of gasoline prices, officials predict that Iraq is headed toward a major windfall because of the soaring price of oil and record-setting production levels.

For years following the 2003 invasion, a lack of infrastructure kept Iraq's oil production and exports down. But with rebuilding efforts bearing fruit, including U.S.-aided actions to prevent the illegal tapping of pipelines, production had recovered to an average of about 2.4 million barrels per day by late last year compared with 2 million earlier in the year and 1.3 million in early 2003....."

Wait a minute!!!!

WHERE is all that OIL GOING?!

If SUPPLY is UP (Iraq pumping it out like crazy) then WHY is the PRICE ZOOMING, too?!?!

Or is it NOT SUPPLY but the CRUMBLING U.S. DOLLAR that is making oil (and everything else in AmeriKa) zoom out of control?

And if this oil story is true, why isn't the MSM raising the point I just did?

Instead, the question is: WHO PAYS for OUR OCCUPATION?

Case closed on the AmeriKan MSM, readers!

If I were the Iraqis, I'd say GET the FUCK OUT then!!!!

Oh, I guess they are telling us that in so many words!!!
