Occupation Iraq: U.S. Bombs Basra House

How appropriate, considering the post below...

"U.S. Military: Strike Kills Militant"

"BAGHDAD (AP) — The U.S. military says an airstrike has destroyed a house in the southern city of Basra in Iraq and killed a militant.

The confirmation of Wednesday's airstrike comes as Iraqi police in Basra claim that six civilians were killed and two others were wounded in the attack. The U.S. military says it doesn't have any reports of civilian deaths.

The Iraqi police say the destroyed house is in Basra's Shiite militia stronghold of Qibla, the site of some of the fiercest clashes during a government offensive in the city."

The "news" was written and presented just as the blogger below described.

How about that, readers?

And how about this?

"US airstrike kills at least 2 fighters in Iraq"

"BAGHDAD (AP) - The U.S. military now says at least two militants died in an air strike in the southern city of Basra.

The military says the attack began after American and Iraqi ground forces came under fire.

But Iraqi witnesses and officials are reporting that at least three people were killed, and three more could be buried in the rubble of a house. Hospital officials say three bodies have been received, including two men and an elderly woman. They say two women may have been wounded.

The military says it's checking reports that civilians may have been killed in this or a second Basra air strike.

The airstrikes come amid an Iraqi military crackdown on Shiite militias. The continued fighting has drawn in U.S. forces and raised doubts about the capability of Iraqi forces."

Where are you, New York Times web site?

I saw CBS News report this morning?! And it just gets WORSE and WORSE as the "news" DRIBBLES OUT!!

Now we hear of a SECOND AIR-STRIKE?!

All while the Times is telling me is telling me the situation is calming down and returning to normal.

Translation: As quickly as they brought it to you (because they are pushing an agenda and thought it would be a success), they remove it from your view (because they are pushing an agenda and it failed)!
