I mean seriously, readers!!

The truth is, the AmeriKan government and MSM thought the operation would be done and over by now!

Wrong again, Dick!!!!

And then to see this in the Sunday Times!

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

"Iraqi Army Reports Headway in Basra"

"BASRA, Iraq — The military operation to rout militiamen aligned with the Shiite cleric Moktada al-Sadr from the southern city of Basra and the poor Shiite neighborhood of Iraq’s capital intensified on Saturday....

The Iraqi government announced success in controlling a key neighborhood of Basra, Hayyania.... The Iraqi military move started at 6 a.m. Saturday when American and British warplanes and artillery pounded Hayyania....

The bombing campaign, which could be heard throughout the city according to residents, prepared the ground for Iraqi troops, who by evening were moving through the district doing house-to-house searches....

Maj. Tom Holloway, a British military spokesman in Iraq, confirmed that the Iraqi offensive had been supported by bombardment from American warplanes and British artillery “to give a demonstration of the firepower available if required,” Reuters reported.

Yeah, we'll show those recalcitrant Iraqis -- by showing them how we can kill their families from on high!!!

Reuters television from Basra showed government troops in armored vehicles in control of the neighborhood’s streets and searching houses.

Heavy fighting continued in the Sadr City district of Baghdad... The United States military confirmed that attack helicopters were still supporting joint American and Iraqi ground operations in the district. Lt. Col. Steven Stover, a United States military spokesman, said that a missile strike from an Apache helicopter killed two Shiite militiamen overnight, Reuters reported.

The fighting has been going on during a heavy sandstorm that has blinded both sides in the fight and has made progress hard to determine.

There is no progress to me!

DEAD PEOPLE = NO PROGRESS, period!!!!

In discussing the wall and other operations, Colonel Stover told Reuters that security efforts were in part centered around the huge Jamila market that has been in the cross-fire since fighting intensified this month."
