Occupation Iraq: Iran's Destructive Role

When I read the quote

"General Petraeus said the security situation in Iraq remained in flux in part because of the “destructive role Iran has played.”

I found myself asking which country went 8,000 miles around the world to invade Iraq.

What was SHOCK and AWE all about, Dave?

The fact that five years later Iraq is a hell hole?

The torture, the checkpoints, the kicking down doors, the helicopter and air strikes... ???

Who has played the destructive role?

Didn't the Iranians just broker a truce in Iraq -- a truce the U.S. and it's Maliki sock-puppet are doing all they can to ignore and avoid?

(Author sitting here shaking his head)

The other part of the article that caught my eye was this:

"In the Senate galleries, protesters echoed those attacks, interrupting the debate on occasion. As Mr. McCain argued against what he described as “reckless and irresponsible” calls for rapid withdrawal from Iraq, a protester stood up with a banner with the words “There’s no military solution.” When Senator Carl Levin, Democrat of Michigan, questioned General Petraeus on when reductions of troops could continue, a man shouted, “Bring them home.” He was later evicted.

A group of women attended in traditional Muslim dress, their faces painted with ghostly makeup. Some held bloodied dolls, and some had red-stained hands. They held signs with the words “Surge of Sorrow” and “Endless War.”

Portrays the protesters in a bad light, does it not?

And why are they even in the selective New York Times, anyway?

Oh, how the left has so disappointed me!!!!

Of course, it took the Boston Globe to add
this:

".... Joseph R. Biden Jr., the committee chairman and a Delaware Democrat... had earlier ordered a few unruly demonstrators ejected."

And
this:

"
.... Underscoring the divisions within the country over the war, a handful of counterprotesters in military fatigues stood outside the hearing holding signs that read "America loves General Petraeus."

Gee, I don't know how 80% being against this OCCUPATION is a division, do you, readers?

Always gotta sell the antiwar protesters
short, don't you, MSM?

....
Senator John Warner, a Virginia Republican, asked Petraeus. "Up to 80 percent of Americans don't accept at this point in time that it is worth it."

And continuing with this crap media isn't worth it, either!
