Bush's Dictatorship

A few quick hitters for you:

"House passes Coast Guard bill despite Bush veto threat"

"Defying President Bush's threatened veto, the House yesterday overwhelmingly approved a bill making the Coast Guard enforce security zones around eight liquefied natural gas terminals and any arriving tankers - all potential terrorism targets.

The White House has complained that the requirement would divert the Coast Guard from other high-priority missions and provide an "unwarranted subsidy" for LNG owners."

Yeah, only unwarranted subsidies for war contractors are allowed!!!!

So Bush is basically saying "terrorism" is a FRAUD!

How can you not protect LNG facilities unless you KNOW they won't be a target of 'terrorists?"

I mean, they gotta go up your ass with a mist-meter and microscope at the airport, so WTF?!

"Senate passes law protecting inspectors"

"Facing a possible White House veto, the Senate has passed a watered-down version of legislation designed to protect government watchdogs from political pressure....

The White House complained that those requirements would encroach on the president's constitutional authority to oversee executive branch employees and requests."

Sig Heil!!

In a dictatorship, BUSH can either GAG them or write what they are to say.

]Haven't they already done that?

"Many states appear to be in a recession"

"The finances of many states have deteriorated so badly that they appear to be in a recession, regardless of whether that's true for the nation as a whole, a survey of all 50 state fiscal directors concludes.

The situation looks even worse for the upcoming fiscal year...."

But, but, but, Bush said we aren't in one and are coming back strong later this year?

"Mass. foreclosures up 140% in a year"

"It's Katrina without the water," said Nadine Cohen of Greater Boston Legal Services, referring to the hurricane that devastated New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast in 2005."

"March new-home sales plunge"

WTF? Not MORE LIES from the man?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!

And just in case you haven't had enough, readers, there is this:

"Gas pump problem cheats everyone"

".... Imagine paying for gas you don't get. Some alert consumers have noticed it over the years: A pump that hesitates a second when the lever is squeezed. Anywhere from 2 to 6 cents tick off before the rush of gasoline starts....

But even if your gas pump works, it can still be off as much as $5 for a fill up. Tests by local regulators allow a pump to charge as much as 6 cents more than the gas delivered in a five-gallon test....

The problem compounds the aggravation of record gas prices. Yesterday, the average national price of a gallon of regular gas was $3.56 a gallon."

Getting tired of that gas pump up your ass, readers?!

There isn't a delay on that pump!!!!

"Ford surprises with 1st-quarter profit of $100m"

"Ford Motor Co. reported an unexpected first-quarter profit as chief executive Alan Mulally tripled earnings in Europe and extended cuts that have eliminated 46,300 jobs in the past two years, a sign his turnaround plan may be working."

Aren't you glad you helped Ford get rich, America, by sacrificing your jobs?
