While the global warming hoaxsters continue to lie about Antarctic ice melting the latest satellite data shows record ice. Not only record ice but a third more ice than average for this time of the year. The Arctic is also doing well.
The global warming machine continues to churn out news articles and blog entries screaming that Antarctic ice is melting and that a disaster is occurring. ScienceDaily is even running an article about the possibility of sharks returning to the antarctic if the warming continues. That's a big if, though do note that the sharks would be "returning" to the antarctic, meaning the earth has been that warm before. But it is very unlikely it is going to get that warm again anytime soon. In spite of all the fear mongering about Antarctic melting and leading to massive tide increases the Antarctic is now at record levels of ice extent, ice concentration and the growth continues. You don't have to believe us you can see the data yourself at The National Snow and Ice Data Center. Simply compare January 1980 (the first January after satellite measurements began) with January 2008. The difference is striking, 44.1% greater ice extent and 30% greater ice concentration in January 2008 compared to 1980. So much for "global" warming, if it occurred the Antarctic definitely missed out on it.

What about the Arctic and those poor polar bears you ask? Well the polar bears can rest easy (if that's possible while sitting on a block of ice), the Arctic has gained back all of its ice. In fact comparing the same years as above the Arctic has about 1% greater ice concentration in January 2008 than it did in January 1980. Soon the bears will have so much ice they'll be starving from a lack of fish and that too will be blamed on "climate change"
The world is currently suffering under oppressive cold with many parts of the planet recording all time record low daily, monthly and seasonal temperatures (again, these records are since man's direct measurements began). Thousands are dying from the cold. With still no sun spot activity in Solar Cycle 24 predictions are for the cold temperatures to continue. But all the silly politicians and scientists on the dole care about is gaining power and money from global warming. But fear not all of their efforts to make the world a cooler place won't make the cold any colder any more than it would have made the warming less warm. They are simply wasting our tax dollars rather than preparing people for the cold that is coming."
