"GAZANS HAVE NOWHERE TO RUN TO"

"by Mohammed Omer

JABALYIA, Gaza, Mar 5 (IPS) - An ambulance races through Jabalyia refugee camp to pick up the critically injured – and the body parts strewn across the street. A normal day’s job these days.

Families crouch in makeshift shelters around handheld radios, listening out for some word that their agony will end. There is no electricity, clean water is at a premium.

No sign yet of an end to the ‘hot winter’ that Israel has determined for Gaza residents. Israel is determined to finish the elected Hamas government and leadership.

If there is activity around Jabaliya camp, it is at the Kamal Adwan hospital. The wounded are brought in one after another. Frantic family members struggle to grab the attention of exhausted emergency room orderlies, doctors and nurses.

An ambulance arrives, but with no injured persons in it. The staff bring out body parts wrapped in blankets — the remains of ten children and three women. Minutes later another ambulance arrives. A man is brought in, much of his skin seems to be missing. Mercifully, he arrives unconscious.

With just two operating rooms to work in, Kamal Adwan’s surgeons struggle to attend to everyone brought in. Blood stains their uniforms, at times pieces of flesh and brain matter can be seen stuck to their collars and sleeves. The doctors are determined to save everyone they can.

An orderly wheels in another victim. A young man in coma is brought in, bleeding profusely from multiple shrapnel wounds from an air-to-ground missile.

Suddenly, all eyes are raised towards the ceiling. The thwop-thwop of a helicopter gunship draws nearer. Moments later there are sounds of explosion. The Israelis are bombing again, quite close. Some of those waiting at the hospital scream. Others sit looking blank.

A young man is lying down for treatment in a shared room. Both his legs, and one arm, are gone. He is trying to say something but he cannot.

“He was feeding the sheep at our home when an Israeli F-16 bombed our house,” says his father by his side. “His legs were blown out from under him.”

“Wake up Samah…please!” a girl is screaming. The girl she is calling out to is still, her torso burnt black. So is what is left of the body of another young woman in the hospital room. They were her sisters Samah 17 and Salwa Asalyia 23.

Her family members remember the moment the ambulance arrived. “Where is the rest of the body?” the ambulance driver asked. Out on the street the killings continue. This IPS correspondent saw a girl, about 17, screaming. A younger boy was lying motionless on the street. She stepped out towards him. As she approached the body, an Israeli sniper shot her dead. She was Jaclyn Abu Shbak, 17, and her brother was Eyad, 14.

The carnage continues, in what Israelis call self-defence. On Feb. 29, Israeli deputy defence minister Matan Vilnai threatened “Shoah” (holocaust) on Gaza in response to home-made Qassam rocket fire directed at the Israeli colony Sedrot, which resulted in the death of three Israelis.

The Israeli siege of Gaza through border closures, and withholding of food, water, and medical supplies enters its 25th month this March. But now the attacks on top of the siege get bloodier by the day.

For the first eight months after Israel removed its illegal colonies from Gaza in September 2005, Hamas and the Palestinian resistance observed an eight-month hunda (ceasefire) despite continued random shelling by Israel, kidnapping of officials and targeted assassinations.

This ended in June 2006 when an Israeli ship bombed a beach in Gaza, killing 13 people, 11 of them from one family. Hamas and the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah repeatedly approached Israel to negotiate a ceasefire. Israel has rejected each overture, and intensified its assaults.

The United Nations defines ‘massacre’ as the death of 50 or more civilians. Operation Hot Winter claimed 60 lives on its first day, and so far at least 126 killed, among them 39 children and babies, and 12 women, and 380 injured. Hundreds of houses have been destroyed."

"MODERN HOLOCAUST ~~ MODERN METHODS"

The nazis had a rough time conducting their holocaust; first they had to round up the Jews, the Gypsies, The Communists, the Trade Unionists, the Gays, and anyone else that ‘posed a threat’ to their regime. Then they had to transport these millions of people to either forced labour camps or death camps. Afterwards there were mass burials or cremation of the victims…

Newer methods are used today by the zionists. Those on the list for extermination are already locked up in one or more specific area, no rounding up necessary. There is no distinction among the victims, they are ALL PALESTINIANS. The victims are left to rot in the streets where they were massacred, no mass burials or ovens to ‘hide the evidence’. The methods and weapons used today to eliminate the victims are prohibited by the Geneva Convention, but that has no bearing on the zionists who are above any International Laws as was demonstrated by their use of Cluster Bombs in Lebanon two summers ago.

The report below describes these new weapons and what their effects are on the victims…. and Bush continues to search for WMD’s in Iraq? Here they are, right here in Israel WHERE HE PUT THEM!

"ZIONISTS UP IN ARMS ABOUT ‘ALARMING RISE OF ANTI SEMITISM IN THE MUSLIM WORLD’"

"Lordy, Lordy, Lordy…. the ADL has finally outdid itself! They actually thumbed through the Arab Press looking for condemnations to the present holocaust taking place in Gaza…. they are upset at what they found…

Arab Press Responds to Gaza Violence with Holocaust Analogies and Anti-Semitism

In the article linked above they give examples of the ‘best’ cartoons that appeared, including one by our very own Carlos Latuff… they liked his so much it appears twice!!

Anyone today that is not accused of anti-Semitism by the JDL/ADL is doing something wrong… just as any Jew that does not appear on
THIS honour role of the ADL/JDL is doing something wrong as well."

"VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE"

"The following is a Blog entry from my dearest friend. Her blog can be found HERE.

Violence Begets Violence

I’m sad today. So many horrible things are happening in the middle east. I’ve been watching the developments in the Gaza strip for quite some time. The people there are suffering… dying… silently. What has been happening there is despicable, criminal behavior on the part of the Israeli government.

Now, an Arab gunmen entered a Jewish rabbinical seminary yesterday in Jerusalem and shot and killed 8 people, injuring many more. This is also a despicable act. The seminary is heavily associated with the settlement movement in the westbank. (Meaning the process of ’settling’ Jews in Palestinian territory for the purpose of expanding the territory claimed by Israel for it’s state.) This is not important to the dead or the grieving, but it is important to understanding why it was selected as a target. Not a justification by any means.

The bottom line is that violence begets violence. It will never beget peace. Violence is never ‘justified.’ No matter who is doing it. No matter why they are doing it. No exceptions.

Acts of violence, whether by a Palestinian gunman shooting Jewish students in a library or bombs being dropped by the Israeli military on innocent Palestinian children in Gaza are equally barbaric.

The people celebrating the attack against the Jewish seminary in the streets of Gaza are people who have themselves been the victims of great violence at the hands of the Israeli military. They are acting from a distorted perspective - warped by oppression and violence.

The seminary students chanting ‘death to Arabs’ in the wake of the attack, suffer from the same delusion. They capitulate to their fear and anger and lash out at the ’cause’ of their suffering.

Both of these behaviors are sick and both contribute to perpetuating the very situations from which they seek to escape. Both reactions are primitive and primal.

Both reactions are ‘understandable’ from a ‘human nature’ level of reasoning, but both reactions are not going to resolve the underlying problem that exists: Fear, aggression, craving for power, a sense of entitlement, desperation, helplessness, hopelessness, anger, paranoia and fear of annhialiation.

In reaction the shooting, Israel’s Foreign Ministry said, “Israel expects the nations of the world to support it in its war against those who murder students, women and children, by any means and with respect for neither place nor target.”

One person committed this crime and Israel’s Foreign Minister wants the world to join it in a ‘war’ against the group to which this person belongs, with ‘respect for neither place nor target.’ This frightens and upsets me more than any of the other events. What human being could suggest that they have the right to act in a way with ‘repsect for neither place nor target.’ It’s is horrifying to me and it gets worse.

Condoleeza Rice said, “This barbarous act has no place among civilized peoples and shocks the conscience of all peace loving nations. There is no cause that could ever justify this action.“

I agree with the statement that there is ‘no cause that could ever justify this action’ as it relates to the shooting. But, where Ms. Rice and I part company is that I feel the exact same way about the blockade of the Gaza strip that has caused near starvation and excruciating hardship for over a million people.

I also feel that way about the assault waged by Israel on the people of Gaza in the last week that has killed 120 people, at least half of them civilians. There is no cause that could ever justify this action.

They are equally abhorrent acts.

Until ALL forms of violence are viewed as equally abhorrent, we are trapped in a cycle of endless pain.

Israel needs to stop humiliating and controlling the Palestinian people. The Palestinian militants must realize that violence only makes it easier for the Israelis to hide their deplorable actions. Celebrating in the streets makes it easier for Israel to justify their aggression against the population as a whole. It doesn’t help the cause of freeing the Palestinian people. It prolongs their agony.

Israelis and Palestinians should unite in denouncing ALL the violence that is occurring: the blockade of Gaza, the rocket fire into Israel from Gaza, the continued settlement activities by Israel (taking Palestinian land), attacks like the shooting in the seminary, preventing Palestinians from working and reaching medical aid, etc. ALL of it is equally deplorable.

All of these acts destroy the fabric of humanity.

Justice and peace will only come when all forms of violence are treated equally. Dropping a bomb on people is just as horrible as a suicide bomber blowing up a bus. There is no difference. Not in the eyes of God… and not in the eyes of civilized humanity.

Until we look at it this way, we are doomed to an endless cycle of pain and killing. May we all wake up."

And quickly!!

"IT’S KOSHER TO KILL PALESTINIANS"

"‘Thou shalt not kill’….are obviously alien words to certain members of the ‘tribe’…. they changed those words to ‘Thou shalt not kill unless it’s a Palestinian’….. killing any hopes of obtaining peace in the region as well.

And yet, the US and the West continues to support these satanic beasts.. the report below deals with this…

"Zionist rabbis says Torah permits killing Palestinian civilians"

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)–The association of rabbis for the people and land of Israel headed by extremist rabbi Dov Lior issued on Wednesday a religious ruling legitimizing the shelling of Palestinian civilian gatherings by IOF troops at the pretext of responding to the rocket attacks carried out by the Palestinians.

According to this ruling, the Torah permits the shelling and bombing of Palestinian rocket sources even if there are civilians living there and considers that the Israeli army must sometimes respond to the source of fire immediately without giving any advance warning to the Palestinian civilians.

This ruling also says that if the Palestinian civilians are concerned about their lives, they should stop the Palestinian resistance from firing rockets on Israeli settlements.

In another serious development, the Israel TV channel two revealed on Wednesday that the IOF troops are planning to implement a mass transfer operation against thousands of Palestinian citizens living near the security fence area between Gaza and the Palestinian lands occupied in 1948 as a prelude to bombing it indiscriminately.

Channel two reported that Israeli war minister Ehud Barak tabled to the Israel mini-cabinet a plan to deport thousands of Palestinians from several areas at the pretext that rocket attacks are carried out from them in preparation to destroy entire Palestinian neighborhoods.

In another development, head of the national religious party (Mifdal) Effie Eitam called at the Knesset’s rostrum for deporting the Palestinian citizens who went on protests on Tuesday in the Umm Al-Fahm city to condemn the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Eitam described the protesters as traitors and threatened the Arab MPs saying: “One day we will expel you from this place along with everyone demonstrated against Israel.”

For his part, Arab MP Jamal Zahalka responded during the session to Eitam saying: “You are a racist, fascist and fanatic,” so the Knesset speaker asked Zahalka to leave the session immediately."

"ZIONIST OCCUPATION IS TO BLAME FOR SEMINARY MASSACRE"

"Israel has been pointing fingers since last night…. ‘Hamas did it…. No, Hezbollah did it…. No… it was someone else’…. every 5 minutes a different party is blamed…. most of which do not even exist! Israel has been issuing statements declaring ‘this group or that group claims responsibility’… pointing fingers everywhere except at the culprit itself…

OCCUPATION IS TO BLAME! The following will explain that claim…

About the discrepancies in the perpetrators of that horrid crime:

"Israel has its excuse to go back into Palestine. How wonderful for them that someone carries out an attack like this EXACTLY when Israel most needed it to deflect world opinion away from what Israel was doing in Palestine.

Folks, the false-flag just does not get any more obvious than this. Israel was losing in the court of world opinion. They were looking for an excuse to get back into Gaza and right when they needed it, one shows up
.

I am watching this on TV and all I can think of is that last week Israel killed over 100 people in Palestine, most of whom were not combatants, and we hardly heard about it. 8 people get shot, and it's the non-stop headline news all day long
.

This reeks of a false-flag attack to justify a new aggression by Israel
