"Oprah Winfrey who has been on record of endorsing Senator Obama since he declared his presidential candidacy; However, Oprah’s recent endorsement commitment went even a step further by committing more of her resources and consigned to going on the road with Obama in order to influence American voters and to use her high profile image to garnish a cross section of support for this African American candidate.
This writer does not think that this strategy will translate into astronomical electoral dividends for Obama nor will it bring him any closer to the White House. My wife is a huge fan of Oprah Winfrey and believes that everything this television Diva touches turns into gold. It has been widely recorded that Oprah has a net worth that places her in the income bracket of a billionaire. To some this would sound like a lot of money and power; however, relatively speaking THE DYNASTIC FAMILIES would not give Oprah the time of day and would be insulted that someone were suggesting her as their financial equal. Oprah does not understand this reality but she will soon find out.
This writer was explaining to his wife in the game of high political and economic stakes Oprah’s financial net worth is minuscule and insignificant in comparison to the DYNASTIC FAMILITES those who have unimaginable wealth and power that has existed for generations. Oprah’s stomping for Obama may appear as a big endorsement to the uninformed. But the decision of which servant will take the presidential seat, is outside of Oprah’s ability to influence or determine the course of such lofty pronouncement. These individuals that will be picking the next president, they pay the likes of Oprah and these so-called power symbols are only subservient to the real POWER ELITE.
Oprah has no power in these types of affairs; moreover, she could buy a well packaged Madison Avenue political image, as a slick political marketing strategy for Obama, but once it is all said and done---OPRAH WILL NOT FACTOR INTO THIS DECISION OF WHO IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT U.S. PRESIDENT....This writer can remember in 1984 Reverend Jesse Jackson ran for President of the United States of America and Jackson had made a racial slur towards the Jews in New York City, referring to New York as “Hymietown” (interpret to meaning Jewish influence runs deep in New York) in an off the record forum to a black Washington Post Reporter named Milton Coleman. Mr. Coleman went public with Reverend Jackson’s remarks who were a presidential candidate at that time. The Jewish community led by Abraham Foxman and the Anti-Defamation League politically castigated Jackson and demanded that black leadership repudiate Jackson for making what was perceived as an anti-Semitic remark towards Jews.
Minister Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam was one of the few black leaders who stood by Jackson and from his Final Call Administration Building, Farrakhan delivered a fiery speech denouncing reporter Milton Coleman as “traitor” against his race and saying to his Black Muslim audience “one day soon we will punish you with death”. But post 9-11 Farrakhan would have perhaps been arrested under some section of the U.S. Patriot Act for making that type violent inference.
Farrakhan also condemned the Zionist State of Israel and it was reported that he called Judaism a “Gutter Religion” and stated the Nation of Israel has never had any peace and she will never have peace because of injustice and thievery and using the name of God to shield a “dirty religion” under his holy and righteous name. Farrakhan said the Zionists were practicing a “dirty religion” by denying the Palestinian people the right to sovereignty and self-determination. Jackson the presidential candidate and Farrakhan the radical Muslim Cleric were both labeled anti-Semitic. The Jewish Lobby derailed Reverend Jackson’s bid to become President of the United States of America and eventually they forced Jackson to repudiate Farrakhan. This writer is quite sure Obama is fully aware of this not so long distant history."
