Why Afghanistan is Under-Reported

Because WE ARE LOSING:

"Gates says more Iraq troop cuts possible; But cites possible uptick of forces in Afghanistan" by Lolita C. Baldor, Associated Press | December 22, 2007

WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Robert Gates, with a nod to the increased attacks in parts of Afghanistan, did not rule out a small uptick in US troops there.

Ready for a SURGE in Afghanistan, kiddies?

Followed by a DRAFT in 2009, no doubt!

Read between the lines instead of snorting them, kiddos!!

US military forces also have not found Osama bin Laden, the man responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Well, THERE is a BIG FAT LIE right in the middle of the paper.

A REPEATED AD NAUSEUM LIE!

Gates: "We are continuing the hunt. [Progress will be marked by the day when] the president goes out in front and says that we have either captured or killed him."

Ummm, he's
ALREADY DEAD, Bob!

Gates acknowledged that the United States is looking at adding a small number of forces in Afghanistan. Gates said that he is still looking for creative ways for them to do that - including another 3,000 combat troops.

So that DRAFT should be on track for 2009, kiddies!

"Failure blooms in Afghanistan" Boston Globe editorial December 22, 2007

.... An overdue recognition that, six years after the overthrow of the Taliban, the country remains dangerously unstable, with Taliban attacks on the rise.

And how would they know?

Not like the Globe's news coverage would have made you aware of this, readers!

.... The United States and its NATO allies failed to devote the time and resources needed for training professional police forces that would protect, and not prey upon, the civilian population. Making matters worse, the outside powers delivered less economic development funding than they promised, and that money was often spent in the wrong way.

Yup, "reconstruction" failed, just like in Iraq!

Now the Taliban have made a comeback.... A bad idea that the policy review should reject is the drug-war prescription for eradicating poppy crops with aerial spraying.... It would be cheaper and politically shrewder to buy the entire poppy crop for a few years, using it to supplement global supplies of morphine for medical uses.

Yeah, except that is where the CIA makes a lot of its profits -- running heroin!

To shore up the Afghan government, the United States and NATO should promote not merely crop replacement of poppies but a long-term program of agricultural development. And they will have to dig in for the long haul. That is the price to be paid for the mistakes of the past."

Pfffftttt!

So why do the Afghanis and the American people have to pay for Bush's mistakes?

That price certainly isn't being paid by Bush or the SHIT MEDIA that brought you these lying wars, readers!

Six years of war is enough time to get it right!

If not, then we should be turning heel and leaving!

FUCK BUSH, and his GOD-DAMN WARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And FUCK the MEDIA that PROMOTED THEM!
