Memory Hole: The Reasonable (and Unreasonable)

(Updated: Originally posted December 6, 2006)

Sticking with the whole Zionist P.R. and campaign operation come to very interesting pieces in the Times today.

Let's go with reasonable first.

If I had not read the piece, I would never have thought twice about how AmeriKa's MSM serves Israeli Zionists:

"Iran Invites Scholars to Assess Holocaust as History or Fiction" by NAZILA FATHI

TEHRAN, Dec. 5 — The Iranian authorities, who have frequently accused the Jews of distorting history to legitimize Israel, announced plans on Tuesday for an international conference on the Holocaust.... the conference, to be held in Tehran next Monday and Tuesday, would include more than 60 scholars from 30 countries and would examine a range of issues, including whether the gas chambers were actually used.

Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, stirred outrage in the West last year when he stated on several occasions that the Holocaust, in which six million Jews perished at the hands of the Nazis, was either greatly exaggerated or an outright myth. He also called more than once for Israel to be wiped off the map.

Well, one year later we all know what a pack of lies this all is!

He never said that!

Beyond questioning the Holocaust, Mr. Ahmadinejad has said the Jews have used it as a propaganda tool to promote Israel’s interests. Since several European countries make Holocaust denial a crime, he says scholars there are not free to do honest research on the subject.

Just the inkling of the question of a question, the discussion of historical research elicits howls of protest, and so much for the vaunted "free speech" of the West, huh?

Never mind the continuing misrepresentations (that must be inserted in every article about Ahmadinejad, without fail) about Israel being wiped off the map.

Read the stuff. He does NOT mean militarily!

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mohammadi said the conference would “provide the opportunity for scholars from both sides to give their papers in freedom and without preconceived ideas.” He refused to give the names of the 67 scholars invited to attend the seminar out of fear that their countries would prohibit them from coming.

The conference does not mean that Iran “denies the crimes of Hitler,” he added. “Since we are not accused and responsible for the Holocaust, we are an impartial judge.”

The Foreign Ministry is sponsoring the event though its Institute for Political and International Studies, whose Web site says, “The word ‘Holocaust,’ which entered the political literature during the Second World War, turned into one of the most important propaganda tools used to politically justify the support for the Jewish People in the 20th century.”

It invited participants to submit their papers on a range of nearly 30 subjects including the nature of anti-Semitism, Jews in Iran and Islam, Zionism, gas chambers, freedom of speech and how the law treats those who deny the Holocaust.

Mr. Mohammadi dismissed the notion that the seminar could promote anti-Semitism, saying anti-Semitism was a Western phenomenon. The proof for that, he said, was Iran’s community of 25,000 Jews.

WTF?!?!

Iran has a "
community of 25,000 Jews?"

Your shittin' me?

I have been told that the Iranians want to exterminate Jews like Hitler did!

WTF?!

I have been told the Iranians are a bunch of Holocaust deniers, and yet "
conference does not mean that Iran “denies the crimes of Hitler."

WTF?!!!

The conference simply calling for an examination of history "
including the nature of anti-Semitism, Jews in Iran and Islam, Zionism, gas chambers, freedom of speech and how the law treats those who deny the Holocaust."

Why be against the conference?

If the scale of the Holocaust conforms with Zionist claims, it should be easily provable.

But if not... ?

The resulting discovery would pierce the bubble of the "cultural myth" surrounding the Holocaust (Zelkiow would be proud)!!

That is why Zionists react so strongly against any calls for an examination of the issue, attempt to block discussion of it by hurling false anti-semitism charges and denigrate any who raise the slightest peep on the issue -- in order to silence them!

Contrast that reaction to history with this development in French politics.

And I love the in-article teaser: "The education of a socialist leader..."

I'd say so (for the education of us all)!

"A Candidate Abroad, or an Innocent Abroad?" by ELAINE SCIOLINO

PARIS, Dec. 5 — The Middle East can be a dangerous place for the diplomatic debutante. So perhaps it was inevitable that Ségolène Royal, the Socialist nominee in next April’s presidential election, would stumble when she ventured to the region on her first foreign trip since she was chosen as her party’s candidate two weeks ago.

The five-day trip to Lebanon, Jordan, the Palestinian territories and Israel was intended to counter criticism even within her own party that she lacks foreign policy experience. Instead, she opened herself up to a new wave of criticism.

But Ms. Royal also appeared to gain support from the Israeli leadership, which ignored her missteps and focused on her tight embrace. She staked out a position as a staunch defender of Israel, supporting its right to construct a security barrier on the West Bank and opposing any nuclear power program, however peaceful, in Iran.

So what's with the flagrant reaction on the French front, then?

The Zionist regime embraced her and here's why
:

She seems to be trying to establish her independence from the traditional Arab-leaning foreign policy of the French left, a strategy that may backfire with her most fervent supporters.

She also seems to be portraying herself as even more pro-Israeli than Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, who is expected to become the nominee of the governing Union for a Popular Movement and has vowed to promote Israel’s security interests and halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions if he becomes president.

Didn't work! She lost!

“You have in front of you the only French political figure who has clearly taken a stand against Iran’s access to civil nuclear power,” Ms. Royal told reporters on Monday at a news conference in Jerusalem. “This will be my position if I am elected president of the republic.”

The Bush administration accepts the completion of Iran’s first nuclear reactor by Russia. Even Israel does not call for a halt to the plant, in Bushehr, a southern port.

Does that sound right to you, readers???

As for Ms. Royal’s stance on Israel’s construction of a security barrier, she characterized its route as a “problem” but otherwise supported the project. “When this is necessary for security, I believe that construction is without doubt justified,” she said.

She also seemed to be learning along the way. As she embarked on her trip, she said it was important to “talk to everyone.” By the time she arrived in Israel, however, she declared that there should be no contact with Hamas, the militant governing Palestinian party.

In Lebanon, she called for an end to flights by Israeli warplanes over French peacekeeping positions in southern Lebanon. By the time she got to Israel, she said the ones that were still being conducted were justified.

Did the Zionists ever get to her, huh?

At the news conference in Jerusalem on Monday, which followed a 45-minute meeting with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, she boasted, “The way in which I was welcomed was exceptional.”

And she was attacked for a "non-reaction" to the quote in the next paragraph?

Holy NaZionist crap, Batman! Talk about having to toe the Zionist line!

Her bravado could not disguise her gaffes early in the visit when she met with Lebanese parliamentary deputies, among them Ali Ammar, a member of the pro-Syrian, Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

Mr. Ammar reportedly told Ms. Royal:

The Nazism that has spilt our blood and usurped our independence and our sovereignty is no less evil than the Nazi occupation of France.”

He also attacked the “unlimited dementia of the American administration” and called Israel the “Zionist entity.” Ms. Royal replied that she agreed “with a lot of things that you have said, notably your analysis of the United States.” She defended Israel, calling it not an “entity” but a sovereign state that had the right to security. She did not comment on the Nazi reference.

Questioned by journalists about her criticism of the United States, she clarified her position, saying she had only meant to be critical of American policy in Iraq, not the “the wider policies of the United States.” Asked a day later about the Nazi remark, she said she had not heard it, saying it was a problem of interpretation. “If that comparison had been made, we would have left the room,” she said.

See the Zionist ATTACK DOGS in action?

Talk about enforcing an ideology!!! Whew!!

Zionist forces react quicker than any on Earth, and that right there tells you quite a bit about WHO REALLY CONTROLS AmeriKa's MSM!!!!

And one year later we know so much more!
