Sundays Aren't the Same

I'm sorry, readers. I used to look forward to getting and reading Sunday (and every day) papers.

When I first started the blog I was redlining and highlighting selected works from the Boston Globe and New York Times. I was all over it, and believing I was getting all the "news." I was going cover-to-cover, doing editorials, letters, opinions (ever see those now, readers? Rarely). You know, even with the skew, I thought I was getting what was going on at least. How foolishly naive I was.

Same thing with the Sunday chit-chats. A year ago, readers, those things were my Super Sundays. I used to joke with people because I devoured the 9-1 talk show circuit. Now, I never watch the Sunday shows, and I can only go five minutes at a time on ZNN.

Additionally, I NEVER PURCHASE a New York Times anymore (and I haven't visited their website today, either). I can't even stand the sight of it, never mind actually touching one. That thought fills me with revulsion these days.

As for the Boston Globe, I no longer believe in them and am totally disenchanted with them. It is amazing how much garbage can be served up by an alleged "newspaper."

It is actually painful for me to even read them now, folks. It hurts to read blatant, agenda-pushing bullshit on a daily basis. It's like lost virginity, people, and they will never get me back -- EVER!!!!

Let me take you on the painful tour of today -- at least, partway.

What really irritated me right from the start was the amount of space and FRONT-PAGE attention given to the... ta-da... BOSTON CELTICS!!!!

"The saving of the Green"

"Giddy, and a little sheepish, loyal fans return"

Oh, and as a kicker, here is what those scratch tickets are paying for, shit-chewing scratcher (where's that finger been, anyway?)
:

"Coveted tickets land at Lottery"

You gotta be effin' crapping me (by the way, my language -- even with all the profanity -- is way better than the rage I had last year. I won't even tell you what I was typing last year, but ha-ha-ha, I like re-reading it sometimes)!!!!

With EVERYTHING GOING ON in the world, the GD KELTICS take up ALL THIS PRINT and FRONT-PAGE SPACE?!

Yeah, while the American people are SUFFERING with skyrocketing costs in food and fuel, health care, education, and a credit and housing crisis to boot (not to mention the damn wars) and the Boston Globe is going to devout FRONT-PAGE SPACE and PRINT to BASKETBALL!!

Now look, I LOVE BASKETBALL as much as the next guy, but IT DOES NOT BELONG on the FRONT PAGE!!! That's what a SPORTS SECTION is FOR!!!!!!

Never mind the OBSCENE WEALTH that is tossed around for "sports" and OCCUPATIONS, to WAR-LOOTERS and BIG OIL (this is where the profits go, readers -- the GAMES!)!

Yup, VETERANS are STARVING in the STREETS, but we are treated to SPOILED, OVER-PAYED, PAMPERED BRATS!!!

Speaking of which, you can imagine the lid flying of my skull when this article accompanied the basketball turn-ins:

"Jenna Bush opts for a low-key wedding"

Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!

I have fucking HAD IT with the Anti-Christ's whore-daughter's nuptials!

America DOESN'T GIVE a SHIT, asshole MSM!!!!

We got LOADS of OTHER PROBLEMS to care about SOME DRUNKEN WHORE'S ELITIST nuptials!!!!

The few items I felt like posting are below, and even those are filled with lies, obfuscations and distortions.

Sigh!

Sadly, good day, readers.

I'd say happy Mother's Day, but I think of the mothers in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan (and countless other places) and I'm not feeling to happy these days.
