Reuniting Families in Texas

I also repost this item because it is good news.

Even the MSM's obfuscation and lies, n
or the foot-dragging by the state, can dim the happiness of this story.

Families are to be REUNITED and the TOTALITARIANS of Texas have been taught a lesson!!!!!!

"Ruling on polygamist sect children in Texas upheld; Court said state failed to provide evidence of peril" by Miguel Bustillo, Los Angeles Times | May 30, 2008

HOUSTON - The Texas Supreme Court yesterday upheld an appellate ruling that said the state had no right to take more than 400 children from a polygamist compound last month, opening the door for most of the youths to be reunited with their parents.

The decision was a major defeat for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, which had argued that all of the children at the Yearning for Zion Ranch in west Texas were in immediate danger because they lived communally under a religion that sanctioned marriage between underage girls and older men.

Officials raided the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints compound on April 3. The sect long ago broke away from the mainstream Mormon Church, which banned polygamy in 1890. The sect's leaders have denied that children were being abused at the 1,691-acre ranch, located just outside the town of Eldorado, about two hours and 45 minutes from San Antonio.

Last week, the Third Court of Appeals in Austin found that the state had failed to provide any evidence that all of the children were in immediate peril of sexual or physical abuse.

Texas child-welfare officials then appealed to the state Supreme Court, arguing that if the children were returned to their parents, leaders of the 10,000-member sect would probably take them out of Texas to elude state oversight.

Even though the parents never did anything to the children they love.

Please, readers, the AGENDA-PUSHING MSM and the STATE LIED TO YOU!!!

So why would you believe their cock-eyed accounts of background information?

And if you were a parent of these children, would you not want to leave the "lovable" state of Texas at this point?

I SURE as HELL WOULD!!!!!

The state also argued that officials were not even sure who the real parents of the children were, because many men in particular had failed to submit to DNA testing or provide other proof of paternity.

But the Texas Supreme Court rejected those arguments. "On the record before us, removal of the children was not warranted," the five-page ruling said. The justices added, however, that the trial court in San Angelo - which had granted Texas emergency custody of the children and which is still debating their fate - could take other measures to protect them while it deliberated.

So the HAPPINESS is not as good as I thought, huh?

Why the LYING, HURTFUL STATE (in more danger under their "care") is being allowed to keep the kids away from their moms to "protect" them is beyond me.

Sig Heil!

Texas officials believe the custody battle is the largest in US history.

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, which on behalf of 38 mothers filed the lawsuit that led to yesterday's ruling, said it would press to have children reunited with parents as quickly as possible. Already, Texas courts have returned more than a dozen children to parents who agreed to keep them in the state while custody proceedings pressed on.

Yesterday's decision was "an important step in reuniting these families," lawyer Kevin Dietz said in a statement. "It's great to see that the court system is working in the interest of justice."

Yes, FOR ONCE!!!!

Texas officials have argued that they were required by law to remove all of the children from the compound because their raid uncovered widespread evidence of children being sexually abused and teenage girls, some visibly pregnant, who were in plural marriages with adult men.

Yeah, even if the raid itself was UNCONSTITUTIONAL (sig heil) and they LIED ABOUT the "ABUSE" (sig heil)!!!!

Although subsequent court hearings have documented the existence of married and pregnant girls on the compound, Texas officials acknowledged that at least 15 of the young mothers the state initially detained as child brides were in fact adults. One turned out to be 27 years old.

Uh-huh!!!! SEE what I MEAN!!!!

At one point, Texas said it had 468 children in custody, but that number is now believed to be about 430.

The raid on the fenced-off compound followed phone calls made by someone who identified herself as a 16-year-old named Sarah.

Notice how the MSM never publicizes the fact that the authorities sent in a TANK and SWAT teams in their raid?

For a community that HAD NO GUNS, folks!!!!

Do I really have to point out the SELECTIVE NATURE of AmeriKa's MSM "reporting?"

She said she was a child bride inside the Yearning For Zion Ranch who was suffering abuse at the hands of her husband.

State officials later disclosed that the calls appeared to have been made by a Colorado woman with a history of making false accusations. They appear to have been a hoax."

Or the "call" NEVER EXISTED at ALL!!! Just a DAMN EXCUSE!!!!!!!
