Bush, McCain on History

As with everything else, the guy is either INSANE, DELUSIONAL, or just a god-damned LIAR!!!

Take your pick!!!

"Bush: As wars rage, US must hold firm; President recalls patriotic sacrifices of World War II" by Ben Feller, Associated Press | May 29, 2008

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - President Bush said yesterday that rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan as the wars rage on is proving difficult and "we're learning as we go."

Pffffftt! On-the-job training for occupation, huh?!

Then you guys lied about post-war reconstruction plans, didn't you?

The president harkened back to the patriotic sacrifice of World War II, the deadliest conflict in history, in again suggesting the country must hold firm and not lose its nerve.

Because He's about to launch WWIII and TOP 'EM!!!

"After World War II, we helped Germany and Japan build free societies and strong economies," Bush said. "These efforts took time and patience, and, as a result, Germany and Japan grew in freedom and prosperity. Germany and Japan, once mortal enemies, are now allies of the United States, and people across the world have reaped the benefits."

Especially you and your cronies!!!

And given U.S. behavior in the world since WWII, I don't think "people across the world" have reaped ANY BENEFITS from U.S. imperialism!

Maybe Israel, but that's about it.

The president spoke on a day intended solely for celebration, the commencement for more than 1,000 graduates of the US Air Force Academy. At a cold, drizzly football stadium ceremony, Bush said the United States has an obligation to stick with Iraq and Afghanistan. He said the lesson is rooted in history.

How the fuck would he know?

The president acknowledged one of the many differences between the global conflict six decades ago and the ones that began under his watch: Today's wars are not over.

NOR are they meant to be any time soon -- since they are OCCUPATIONS, not wars!

"In Germany and Japan, the work of rebuilding took place in relative quiet," Bush said. "Today we're helping emerging democracies rebuild under fire from terrorist networks and state sponsors of terror. This is a difficult and unprecedented task, and we're learning as we go."

Yeah, the "terrorism" bugaboo!!!

First of all, it is WESTERN GOVERNMENTS that are CARRYING OUT "terror" attacks!!

Secondly, all those who resist AmeriKan Empire are NOT "terrorists."

Just a small point I wanted to clarify, asshole!!!!

And third, "learning as we go?"

Let's just DROP OUT now!!!

For example, he said, the United States learned the hard way that the newly liberated people in Iraq could not make progress unless they felt reasonably secure.

Bush said his own country must not lose resolve. He said terrorist enemies, using the media and the never-ending news cycle, attack innocent people to weaken American resolve.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!! Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

How FUCKING RIDICULOUS this ASSHOLE IS!!!!

"We need to recognize that the only way that America can lose the war on terror is if we defeat ourselves," Bush said.

Well, that makes sense since we are FIGHTING OURSELVES!!

"Terrorism" a CONCOCTION and CREATION of WESTERN "INTELLIGENCE!!!"

At least 4,085 US military members have died in the Iraq war. More than 430 members of the US military have died as a result of the US invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001, according to the Defense Department.

All BLOOD on YOUR HANDS, Bush!!

Bush noted it was his last military academy commencement speech, and he seemed to savor it. He personally congratulated each cadet as cheers bounded across the stadium.

No surprise to me that the guy savors war! He thinks it is ROMANTIC!

History and war specialists warn that Bush has at times oversimplified the comparison between postwar efforts in Japan and Germany and what's unfolding in Iraq and Afghanistan.

No (uttered in disbelieving amazement, full of sarcasm)?

After the end of World War II, enemies formally surrendered, hostilities ended, basic security existed, and local populations essentially accepted occupation and reconstruction.

Specialists say those conditions don't exist in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Translation: Bush is LYING AGAIN!!!

The postwar analogy between World War II and today is "patently false," said Sam Brannen, a fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Translation: Bush is LYING AGAIN!!!

The stateless enemies in Afghanistan and Iraq "are not accountable to the same command-and-control structures that existed in Japan and Germany," he said.

Bush, linking the wars now and then, acknowledged differences.

Oh, so he didn't lie, MSM?

"Our adversaries did not lay down their arms after the regime had been removed," he said of today's conflicts. "Instead, they blended into the civilian population and . . . continued the fight through suicide bombings and attacks on innocent people. In the 21st century, this nation must be prepared to fight this new kind of warfare."

Translation: Get ready for a century of UNENDING OCCUPATIONS!!!

Why ANY WARS at all? So a FEW BENEFIT while the REST SUFFER?

As for the innocent civilians, you've notched about 1.2 million in Iraq and over 6 million in Afghanistan, mass-murderer!!

So FUCK OFF!!!

And here is his LYING SUCCESSOR:

"Obama weighs trip to Iraq, but says he won't go with McCain"

"Barack Obama is considering a visit to Iraq this summer, his first to the war zone since becoming a presidential candidate.

Please be careful over there, Obama!!!

And if his plane crashes, INSIDE JOB STINK!!!!!

But Obama, who has been under criticism from Republican rival John McCain for not visiting Iraq since 2006, declined McCain's invitation for a joint trip.

"I just don't want to be involved in a political stunt," Obama said, according to a report on the New York Times website yesterday. "I think that if I'm going to Iraq, then I'm there to talk to troops and talk to commanders. I'm not there to try to score political points or perform."

Obama took his only trip to Iraq in January 2006, when he traveled as part of a congressional delegation.

The Republican Party joined the criticism yesterday by launching an online clock to count the days since Obama last visited.

I've got a clock in my head that is counting down Bush's final months in office!!!

"This is about leadership and learning," McCain said in Nevada, where he was campaigning. "To say that we're failing in Iraq and not succeeding does not comport with the facts on the ground, so we've got to show him the facts on the ground (AP May 29, 2008)."

Yeah, except those AREN'T the "FACTS" -- according to none other than our OWN MILITARY!

".... 2007, the most violent year in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, Pentagon records show....
the growing violence in both wars."

WHAT?!!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, that LYING MSM!!!!!!!!

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!
