Memory Hole: Palestinian Paralysis

(Updated: Originally posted December 14, 2006)

Another CUI BONO situation, and one has not to wonder for the answer
:

"Gunmen ambush, kill Hamas commander; Hopes for unity dim as violence rises in Gaza" by Ibrahim Barzak/Associated Press December 14, 2006

And just WHO BENEFITS from that?

KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip -- Palestinian gunmen ambushed a Hamas commander outside a Gaza courthouse yesterday, forcing him to his knees and killing him gangland-style in an attack that threatened to push Hamas and Fatah closer to civil war.

The brazen daylight slaying dampened already fading hopes for creating a national unity government and renewing peace talks with Israel.

Fatah spokesman Tawfik Abu Khoussa rejected the [Hamas] accusations:

"We condemn all acts of anarchy whatever may be behind them, and we call on the brothers in Hamas to stop firing accusations before the investigation."

I must say, I am starting to wonder about Fatah (one year later, we understand so much more! Fatah WORKING FOR Israel!).

Wait for investigations?

The drib-drab of the article was that USrael was going to help Abass dissolve the ELECTED GOVERNMENT, so I am concerned about Fatah being a tool of USrael.

Abass is either after power or a dupe himself!

And the toss-in line from the Zionist-controlled MSM:

"Also yesterday, Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian near the Israel-Gaza border fence. The military said he was armed and carrying explosives. A cease-fire has stopped most violence between Israel and Gaza."

More things change, the more... aw, well, I don't have to tell you.

"Prominent Hamas Rebel Is Killed as Palestinians Renew Infighting" by GREG MYRE

JERUSALEM, Dec. 13 — Ismail Haniya, of Hamas, the Palestinian prime minister, has been traveling in the Middle East for more than two weeks and plans to return to Gaza.

Mr. Haniya, who was in Khartoum, Sudan, is cutting short a trip to Arab and Muslim countries including Iran and Syria on what was billed as a monthlong trip:

We want to assure you that the words ‘civil war’ don’t exist in our dictionary. They don’t exist in our makeup, in our culture.”

Israeli troops shot dead an armed Palestinian who approached Gaza’s perimeter fence, the Israeli military said. The shooting was the first fatality on either side since the Israelis and Palestinians declared a cease-fire in Gaza on Nov. 26.

Oh yeah, and this also happened that day
:

In another development on Wednesday, Israel’s Supreme Court sided with the government, ruling that a section of Israel’s West Bank separation barrier, which runs near the northeastern boundary of Jerusalem, could stand. Arab residents in the area had appealed to the court, contending that the barrier greatly disrupted daily life and made it difficult to move between East Jerusalem and other parts of the West Bank."

That's the WHOLE POINT of the APARTHEID WALL!!!!

To carve up Palestinian ares so there will NEVER BE a Palestinian state!
