A jury began deliberations in the trial of seven Miami men accused of plotting to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago and wage a religiously motivated war against the United States government. Prosecutors, drawing on evidence collected in an eight-month investigation, have said the men were trying to get financial support from Al Qaeda to conduct an armed jihad. But defense lawyers have insisted their clients were entrapped by undercover F.B.I. agents and played along to raise money to build a construction business and a local religious mission."
