The Culture of Death: Dogs More Important Than Humans

Just another example of AmeriKa's Death Cult and its backwards-ass lying about being for life.

"Dog Killer Goes to Prison, Abortionists Stay in Business

Football star Michael Vick received a 23-month sentence for killing and abusing dogs. The judge acted properly in enforcing the laws against cruelty to animals. Meanwhile, there is no law punishing the slaughter of unborn infants in the U.S. at the rate of over one million per year.

Within the power he wielded, U.S. District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson threw the book at Michael Vick. "You were instrumental in facilitating, putting together, organizing, and funding this cruel and inhumane sporting activity," said the judge in his Richmond, Virginia, courtroom. Vick had been hosting a dog-fighting operation at his Virginia property where dogs were trained to attack one another. Dogs that did not perform well, or that were seriously injured, were done away with. Vick's sentence grew by several months when it was learned that he had lied earlier about his participation in the killing of some animals.

Suspended from the National Football League, Vick essentially tossed away a brilliant career, a huge salary, lucrative endorsement deals, and the respect of millions of fans. Sad though it may be to see such a waste of his talent, there can be no doubt that the punishment he has been given is appropriate. He may even receive additional sentencing when charges are adjudicated against him Virginia's courts.

The case brought a welcome bit of attention to the existence of proper laws against cruelty to animals. But it should also bring a reminder that, while laws have been enacted to protect the wellbeing of dogs, the killing of unborn human infants in the womb continues without interruption throughout this nation. Since the Supreme Court abolished state jurisdiction over abortion in 1973 and essentially gave free rein to such killing, well over 40 million lives have been snuffed out.

The justices who ruled in the infamous Roe v. Wade case pointedly avoided defining when life begins. The undeniable truth is that it begins at conception. Taking the life of a newly conceived babe, therefore, is murder. That such a practice isn't illegal says a great deal about our nation. In America, obviously, the life of a dog seems more important than the life of an infant in the womb.

Perhaps the notoriety given Michael Vick and his crime will stimulate more Americans, even some judges, to think about the need to outlaw abortion. If so, the former football star's incarceration will have served two purposes: 1) Calling attention to the illegality of brutality to animals, 2) the need to put and end to brutality to infants in the womb.

I agree with the sentiments of the author; however, I see no way AmeriKa drifts from its culture of abortion.

Who would have ever thought that the United States would become the Soviet Union or Communist China when it came to murdering babies!
