May Day Memories: Headlines

Articles that I gleaned from the AmeriKan War Dailies last year on this day, May 2..

This will provide an example of how the propaganda is regurgitated and recycled like clockwork.

And by the way, readers, this is all true. Right from the file cabinet to you...

My post title in bold,
followed by newspaper headline and comments.

"Fascism on Fox"

A video post that showed the LA cops beat-down of a Fox camera person even after she identified herself during an immigration rally. And yet, with MSM complicity and assistance, the police state rolls toward you, 'murka!

"Times' Turn-Ins: Rotten Turkey: Turkish Court Blocks Islamic Candidate" by Sabrina Tavernise

Same old, same old from the New York Times. Front paged it, booga-booga!

"Inside the Globe: Hiding Turkey's Terrorists: Turkish violence marks May Day; 700 arrested, hundreds injured" by Laura King/Los Angeles Times

The Globe carried this article, but the website neglected to carry the picture of the Turkish goons in their gas masks. Frightening photo, really.
"Times Turn-Ins: British Barbarians at the Border: U.S. Seeks Closing of Visa Loophole for Britons" by Jane Perlez

Another front-page, NYT propaganda special. Go
here for more.

"Times Turn-Ins: The Veto: Bush Vetoes Bill Tying Iraq Funds to Exit" -- Sheryl Gay Stolberg and Jeff Zeleny

This was the beginning of losing faith with the democraPs and politics. You see where we are now. Oh, and as hard as it is to believe, my language was much, much worse last year at this time. I was liberally using words like diarrhea, shit-slurping, and a host of other colorful narratives. I'm better now, and like the blog better because I'm posting GOOD BLOG WORK rather than all biased Zionist garbage and working myself into a frenzy!

"Times Inside: Story Iraq: Operation Propaganda: Iraqi Officials Say Top Qaeda Leader May Have Been Killed" by Kirk Semple

WTF do they do, look at a year ago and just CHANGE the COUNTRY'S NAME? Yesterday the U.S. allegedly killed an "Al-CIA-Duh" in Somalia! Gimme a break, readers! SSDD!!!! Also see above post for more on this.

"Inside the Globe: Invisible Iraq:"

There was no article to link here. The Globe reported this amount of deaths in Iraq on May 2, 2007:

That make sense to you, readers. Whatever article they carried was all about "Al-CIA-Duh." The Times reported dead people and violence, so WTF? This became a pattern I tracked all summer (sometimes the roles were vice-versa) and what propagated the "
surge success."

"Story Iraq: Awarding a Medal: U.S. Jailer in Iraq Admits Mistakes, Investigators Says"

This was about a Lt. Col William Steele, who was in trouble for fraternizing with Iraqi families, to wit:

"[taking] pride in trying to make Camp Cropper the antithesis of Abu Ghraib... Steele developed a strong reputation for protecting prisoners and attempting to improve the conditions of their incarcerations -- including greater flexibility in family visits and interaction."

And his crime? He gave a cell-phone to one of them to call their family!! Yeah, if you don't torture Iraqis you get a court-martial, huh?
At the time, I said it was life-affirming to find a DECENT HUMAN BEING amidst this MURDEROUS MADNESS, and that still sticks!

"War Paper Crimes: Afghanistan's Army: "

See for Inside the Globe: Invisible Iraq above for the reported death toll in Afghanistan May 2, 2007. Times carried some article about how ready the Afghan Army is. Case
closed, readers.

"War Paper Crimes: Israeli Politics : Olmert Facing Effort in Party to Oust Him Over '06 War" by Steven Erlanger and Isabel Kershner and "Calls increase for Israeli leader to quit; Damage seen from report on war in Lebanon"

At the time, I pointed out the reported violent actions in Palestine from those articles. Here is what they gave us:

No, the article was all about Israel's bullshit politics, and we see whose still in charge over there! Yeah, I was wasting time at this point last year!

One year ago today, readers, I was purchasing, reading and highlighting Times and Globe articles every day!

Although my faith in them was definitely waning, I was still a consumer and purchaser.

Now, I never touch the New York Times and I rarely get the Boston Globe (Sunday for my friend).

No wonder their circulation and readership is crapping the toilet!

And no wonder I am HAPPIER about my blog!
