The Boston Globe's Silence

Not one article on Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan.

NOT ONE, readers.

CASE CLOSED on the agenda-pushing war rags, readers.

Meanwhile, DemocracyNow tells me that
8 Iraqis died in a U.S. air strike overnight, and U.S. troops battled in Sadr City.

"Iraqi police say eight people, including two children, were killed in a U.S. military strike north of Baghdad."

Thanks, MSM, thanks a lot, you pathetic fucking turds.

"Iraqi Police Say US Snipers Killed Civilians"

"BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The U.S. military said its troops shot dead 11 militants in eastern Baghdad on Wednesday, but police and several residents said at least some of the dead were civilians killed by U.S. snipers....

Well, it's Reuters, so the Globe had to have known.

So why must I find it off the blogs?

In the courtyard of one house in Obaidi, a Mehdi Army bastion, black-robed women wailed over the bloody corpse of a man half-covered by a blanket, while men beat their chests in a sign of grief.

"He was shot by an American sniper. He was loitering outside the house. He was not even holding a piece of wood," one of the male mourners told Reuters.

Yeah, the AmeriKan MSM woould never want you to know that. At least, they won't remind you of it.

An official at police headquarters in eastern Baghdad said 11 bodies had been removed from Obaidi, including three elderly men, two street cleaners and three Mehdi Army fighters.

He blamed U.S. snipers for the killings....

U.S. military spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Steve Stover said the 11 had been killed after they were observed by U.S. soldiers acting suspiciously....

The U.S. military said the operation in Obaidi sent a message to the "special groups" that it has blamed for many of the deadly roadside bomb attacks on U.S. troops.

"Operations such as these let special group militants know the government of Iraq, Iraqi security and coalition forces will not tolerate their illegal and violent activities," said Major Joey Sullinger, spokesman for the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division."

Aaaah, the sweet shitstink of "LIBERATION!"

"Depleted Uranium Shells Used by U.S. Military Worse Than Nuclear Weapons"

"by David Gutierrez

(NaturalNews) The use of depleted uranium (DU) munitions by the U.S. military may lead to a death toll far higher than that from the nuclear bombs dropped at the end of World War II.

DU is a waste product of uranium enrichment, containing approximately one-third the radioactive isotopes of naturally occurring uranium. Because of its high density, it is used in armor- or tank-piercing ammunition. It has been fired by the U.S. and British militaries in the two Iraq wars and in Afghanistan, as well as by NATO forces in Kosovo and the Israeli military in Lebanon and Palestine.

Inhaled or ingested DU particles are highly toxic, and DU has been classified as an illegal weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations.

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority has estimated that 50 tons of DU dust from the first Gulf War could lead to 500,000 cancer deaths by the year 2000. To date, a total of 2,000 tons have been generated in the Middle East.

In contrast, approximately 250,000 lives were claimed by the explosions and radiation released by the nuclear weapons dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

"More than ten times the amount of radiation released during atmospheric testing [of nuclear bombs] has been released from DU weaponry since 1991," said Leuren Moret, a U.S. nuclear scientist. "The genetic future of the Iraqi people, for the most part, is destroyed. The environment now is completely radioactive."

Because DU has a half-life of 4.5 billion years, the Middle East will, for all practical purposes, be radioactive forever.

The two U.S. wars in Iraq "have been nuclear wars because they have scattered nuclear material across the land, and people, particularly children, are condemned to die of malignancy and congenital disease essentially for eternity," said anti-nuclear activist Helen Caldicott.

Since the first Gulf War, the rate of birth defects and childhood cancer in Iraq has increased by seven times. More than 35 percent (251,000) of U.S. Gulf War veterans are dead or on permanent medical disability, compared with only 400 who were killed during the conflict.

Kosovo = Clinton = WAR CRIMINAL!

Israel, too, 'eh?

Oh, and here is one more for you:

"Iraq loads up on US arms"

"WASHINGTON — Iraq is becoming one of the largest customers for U.S. arms, as the country turns from Soviet-bloc weapons to pricier but more sophisticated American weapons.

Iraq's government has committed nearly $3 billion for U.S. weapons and equipment over the past year. "This is a substantial amount of money that they put on the table," said Joseph Benkert, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for global security affairs.

The increase in Iraqi arms and equipment purchases has helped makers of such U.S. military staples as the Humvee, the Pentagon's workhorse vehicle, and the M-4 and M-16 rifles, military contract records show.

That puts Iraq among the top current purchasers of U.S. military equipment through the foreign military sales program, records show. Benkert said the deals are helping to cement the future relationship of Iraq to the United States....

U.S. equipment has a reputation of being generally better quality, but pricey and sometimes more difficult to operate and maintain....

Yeah, and somehow it ends up in arms bazaaars in Iraq and Pakistan.

Go figure.

Iraq's fledgling air force is buying some light U.S.-built aircraft and upgrades to its helicopters.

Iraq began committing money to U.S. foreign military sales in December 2006 and by last May had $3 billion in an account dedicated to the program.

About $1.6 billion worth of contracts have already been delivered and another $1 billion is under contract, Benkert said. The remaining money hasn't been spent yet.

The United States also continues to support Iraq's security forces with U.S. tax dollars. The Pentagon budgeted $3 billion this fiscal year to equip and train Iraq's security forces.

So SOMEONE is making a BOODLE!!!!!!!!

"Give it another five, six or eight years and you could be talking about deals that put the Saudis to shame," Pike said. The oil-rich Saudis have bought American fighters and armored vehicles worth billions of dollars...."

CHA-CHING!!!!!! WAR PROFITS, mmmmmm!

The foreign military sales program is a program that contracts between U.S. and foreign governments. American allies can also apply for licenses that allow them to purchase directly from American contractors...."

Gee,
CUI BONO?

WHO is getting the Cha-CHING, readers?

The article doesn't tell you which companies!!!!

So much for AmeriKa's MSM, huh, readers.

Pffffftttt!
