Leaping Back to Desert Peace: Youthful Innocence

"‘KA’BOOM’ ~~ THE SWEET INNOCENCE OF YOUTH''

"My next door neighbours have a little boy named Alon. He’s the sweetest little thing you can ever meet. He was acting rather strange today, every time I saw him he said “KA’BOOM!!!!” I had no idea why he was saying that and assumed that his parents were watching the news to see what was happening in the Gaza Strip today.

No… I was wrong. ‘KA’BOOM’ referred to the noise the outside door makes when the wind slams it shut. Oh…. the innocence of the young.
To little kids in Gaza ‘KA’BOOM’ has a totally different meaning. Another Israeli bomb or rocket attack has just hit nearby…

You heard me right…. Israel is striking at the homes and workplaces of innocent civilians. They have not bombed hospital facilities as far as I can determine, they do not need to…. patients are dying from a lack of medication and electrical power to operate life saving machinery. Others are dying trying to get to hospitals as there is no petrol available to operate ambulances… this is Israel’s way of killing off the population quietly.

The situation in Gaza is going from bad to worse every minute. Israel is determined not to negotiate or reason… it’s aim is to destroy as many Palestinians as it can before it is finally stopped by the international community, which so far is not happening despite UN observers and European Union Representatives witnessing the situation first hand.

Until the present madness ends, ‘KA’BOOM’ will continue to have two meanings…. I like Alon’s better… that door never killed a soul.
