Club-Hopping Cops

Don't they have something better to do?

Can't they spend this dough on the schools or something else?

"Night spot closes as police, city probe melee and shooting"

"by John R. Ellement, Globe Staff | February 26, 2008

.... The shooting inside the Aria nightclub on Tremont Street in the city's Theater District led the club's owners to suspend operation and voluntarily surrender both their liquor and entertainment licenses to city officials.

"We are in no hurry to open," said George Regan, spokesman for the club's owners, who include Jack Gateman, part owner of other Theatre District nightclubs, including the Roxy.

Regan said the club had security, but did not use metal detectors to check patrons.

In Boston, only about a dozen of the 1,200 facilities with entertainment licenses use metal detectors, and those are mostly in Mattapan and Dorchester, said Patricia Malone, head of the city's Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing.

Going to need them at all clubs now, right?

And CUI BONO?

The POLICE STATE!!

Keep reading, the event gets even stinkier!

Malone and Daniel Pokaski - chairman of the Boston Licensing Board, which issues liquor licenses - both said they will not allow the bar to reopen until the police investigation ends and a detailed account of how the nightclub's staff handled the situation is known....

Mayor Thomas M. Menino, angered by the violence, called a press conference at City Hall yesterday and said that he would like to pull the club's licenses "and not give them back to them."

"Incidents like that have no place in our city," the mayor said.

I say bring back PROHIBITION if you are serious, shitter!

Make Boston an ALCOHOL-FREE CITY!!!!

Become a MODEL CITY!!!!

And GET THOSE BEER COMMERCIALS off the damn t.v., will ya?

Malone said nightclub management will appear before her board tomorrow to respond to past complaints from police and others about overcrowding, fights inside, and people not dispersing at closing time....

Pfffffffttt!

Ever been in a bar at closing time?

Like herding cats out the door!

At the time, at least eight Boston police officers wearing plastic jackets marked BOSTON POLICE and wearing badges around their necks were inside the club.

(.... members of the Youth Violence Strike Force had been in the area out of concern about a possible outburst of violence among rival gang members. They had checked out two or three nightclubs before focusing attention on Aria about midnight....)

.... Malone, the city licensing official, said police should have alerted the club's owners and her office before Saturday night.

"The police should have had an informal conversation" with Malone and the club's owners beforehand, so the owners could decide whether they wanted to open that night, Malone said.

And Sig Heil when you say that!

But Police Commissioner Edward F. Davis said his officers did not have any specific intelligence, but instead were generally concerned about gang activity in the area.

That's not what was reported yesterday!

"The police had been tipped days earlier that gang members were planning to show up inside the red velvet-draped club."

WTF?!

Lying frikkin' cops!!!!

Davis added that police are trained to use deadly force to defend others.

"The good news is the officers were there," he said. "They did an incredibly heroic job in resolving this threat without using deadly force."

Is that another lie?

I mean, how can you tell anymore given this fascist government and its MSM propaganda machine?

Or did they simply mean they avoided an incident like this?

"3 officers on trial in death of groom"

"New York police officers who killed an unarmed black man with 50 shots on his wedding day were careless and desperate to make an arrest because their vice unit was about to be disbanded, a prosecutor said yesterday....

The Club Enforcement Unit was eager to make a prostitution arrest, which would have shut the club down....

The lawyer for Gescard Isnora, the undercover detective who fired the first shot and 11 total, urged the judge to strip politics from the hearing and portrayed his client as trying to shut down a "gritty, raunchy strip joint in a working-class community."

Yeah, well, you sure cleaned up the neighbored, 'eh, you monster?

And shut down the clubs, by all means!!!

You wanna see 'murkns in the streets?

That'll do it!!!

Never mind wars and torture and lies (zzzzzzz).
