The United States of Tyranny

Isn't every crime a hate crime?

Why not judge people on their acts, rather than trying to peer inside their heads?

Why must more and more division be heaped upon our heads?

This is just criminalizing thought, is all.

"FBI says hate crimes rose 7.8 percent in '06; Race bias accounts for the majority of instances in report" by Michael J. Sniffen/Associated Press November 20, 2007

WASHINGTON - Hate crime incidents in the United States rose last year by nearly 8 percent, the FBI reported yesterday, as racial prejudice continued to account for more than half the reported instances.

Yeah, but THIS isn't a hate crime

"Whites Take a Majority on New Orleans’s Council" by ADAM NOSSITER

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 19 — In one of the clearest signs yet of Hurricane Katrina’s lasting demographic impact, the City Council is about to have a white majority for the first time in over two decades, pointing up again the storm’s displacement of thousands of residents, mostly black."

Yeah, when you are negligent, indifferent and downright criminal as a government, it's not a hate crime.

In fact, in an ironic twist, those same a-holes are the ones deciding what IS a hate crime.

No wonder I rage at the injustices!

And just so you get the point:

"Panel Picks 4 Debate Sites, Angering Excluded New Orleans" by KATHARINE Q. SEELYE

The Commission on Presidential Debates has picked Oxford, Miss.; St. Louis; Nashville; and Hempstead, N.Y., as the sites of the presidential and vice-presidential debates in the general election campaign next year.

New Orleans took offense at its omission, with a leader of one Louisiana advocacy group saying she had been told that the city had not recovered sufficiently from Hurricane Katrina to act as host of such an event. New Orleans was one of 16 finalists and has attracted major conventions since the hurricane devastated much of the city more than two years ago.

This is the first time the bipartisan commission, which has overseen the debates since 1988, plans a format allowing the candidates to question each other. Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr., the commission’s Republican co-chairman, said that contrary to past experience, the candidates would not be allowed to change the format. “The candidates aren’t going to dictate to us anymore,” Mr. Fahrenkopf said.

The debates have become a huge traveling road show, with a cast of 4,000 extras from the worlds of politics and the news media. In the case of Oxford, which has only 700 hotel rooms, overnight visitors will be bused to Tupelo, Miss., and Memphis.

In addition to Oxford, where the first presidential debate is to be held Sept. 26 at the University of Mississippi, presidential debates are scheduled for Belmont University in Nashville on Oct. 7 and Hofstra University in Hempstead on Oct. 15. The vice-presidential debate is scheduled for Washington University in St. Louis on Oct. 2.

The omission of New Orleans drew a sharp reaction from Senator Mary L. Landrieu, Democrat of Louisiana, who said the commission had “lost sight of the public interest it was chartered to serve.”

Anne Milling, founder of the advocacy group Women of the Storm, said Paul G. Kirk Jr., the commission’s Democratic co-chairman, had told her that New Orleans was “not ready” to be host of a debate, although, she said, the city surpassed all logistical requirements.

“Politics trumped the correct moral decision,” Ms. Milling said. “Supposedly, many people said that they would not be comfortable coming here,” because New Orleans stands as a rebuke to the federal government’s response to the hurricane.

Mr. Fahrenkopf denied any political influence, saying the selections had been based on technical criteria and geographical balance.

What a LIAR!!!

You got one next door in Mississippi (where they can't handle the crowd) and one up the road in Nashville!

You GAVE New Orleans the finger, you fucking fascist!

And Mr. Kirk denied telling Ms. Milling that New Orleans was “not ready” for a big event.

But acting as host of a presidential debate is “an expensive proposition,” he told The Associated Press, “and presents enormous strategic challenges. All things considered, New Orleans did not measure up.”

And these biased, racist a-hole politicos are the ones who are deciding what a "hate crime" is: just a way of closing down a society and its alleged free speech.

Back to the "hate" speech:

Police across the nation reported 7,722 criminal incidents in 2006 targeting victims or property as a result of bias against a particular race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic or national origin, or physical or mental disability. That was up 7.8 percent from the 7,163 incidents reported in 2005.

Although the noose incidents and beatings among students at Jena, La., high school occurred in the last half of 2006, they were not included in the report. Only 12,600 of the nation's more than 17,000 local, county, state, and federal police agencies participated in the hate crime reporting program in 2006 and neither Jena nor LaSalle Parish, in which the town is located, were among the agencies reporting.

Yeah, about Jena
:

Media myths about the Jena 6

Clear now, reader?

Nevertheless, the Jena incidents and a rash of subsequent noose incidents around the country spawned civil rights protests in Louisiana and, last week, at Justice Department headquarters in the capital. The department said it investigated the incidents but decided not to prosecute because the federal government does not typically bring hate crime charges against juveniles.

The Jena case began in August 2006 after a black student sat under a tree known as a gathering spot for white students. Three white students later hung nooses from the tree. They were suspended by the school but not prosecuted. Six black teenagers, however, were charged by LaSalle Parish prosecutor Reed Walters with attempted second-degree murder of a white student who was beaten unconscious in December 2006. The charges have since been reduced to aggravated second-degree assault, but civil rights protesters have complained that no charges were filed against the white students who hung the nooses.

Let me see her.

These guys beat the crap out of somebody, while the other event, while offensive, hurt no one?

That's what bothers me about the whining and the crying on television (and the lying misrepresentations by the MSM).

So the kids who could have murdered someone should be let off easy?

How about judging people on WHAT THEY DO, not what they THINK!?

"The FBI report confirms what we have been saying for many months about the severe increase in hate crimes," said the Rev. Al Sharpton, who organized Friday's march. "What is not reported, however, is the lack of prosecution and serious investigation by the Justice Department to counter this increase in hate crimes." Sharpton called for Attorney General Michael Mukasey to meet with members of the Congressional Black Caucus and civil rights leaders to discuss the matter.

Oooooooooh, BIG AL HAD TO HORN IN, huh?

Well, I'll give it all the diversionary division that it's due, the frikkin' publicity-chasing liar (Brawley, Al)!

The Justice Department says it is actively investigating a number of noose incidents at schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods around the country. It says "a noose is a powerful symbol of hate and racially motivated violence" recalling the days of lynchings of blacks and that it can constitute a federal civil rights offense under some circumstances.

And CUI BONO from all this false-flag hate crimes and false-flag anti-semitism, readers?

The FBI report does not break out the number of noose incidents but the two most frequent hate crimes in 2006 were property damage or vandalism, at 2,911 offenses, and intimidation, at 2,046 offenses. There were 860 aggravated assaults and 1,447 simple assaults. There were three murders, six rapes, and 41 arsons.

Other offenses included robbery, burglary, larceny, and motor vehicle theft.

The 7,722 criminal hate crime incidents involved 9,080 specific criminal offenses, including 5,449 against individuals, 3,593 against property, and 38 classified as against society at large. An incident can involve attacks on both people and property.

As opposed to like, regular crime, right?

So, like, Enron would be hate crime, right?

I mean, it's a CLASS CRIME, huh?

Pffffffffffttttttttt!!!!!!!!!

As has been the case since the FBI began collecting hate crime data in 1991, the most frequent motivation was racial bias, accounting for 51.8 percent of the incidents in 2006. That was down slightly from the 54.7 percent in 2005.

Also in 2006, religious bias was blamed for 18.9 percent of the incidents; sexual orientation bias for 15.5 percent, and ethnic or national origin for 12.7 percent.

Of the 7,330 offenders identified by police, 58.6 percent were white, 20.6 percent were black, 12.9 percent were of unknown racial background, and other races accounted for the remainder.

As if this fascista society needed to add to the prison population.

"US prisons full, but crime, cost to taxpayers soar; Researchers urge shorter sentences, major overhaul" by Randall Mikkelsen/Reuters November 20, 2007

WASHINGTON - The number of people in US prisons has risen eightfold since 1970, with little impact on crime but at great cost to taxpayers and society, researchers said yesterday in a report calling for a major justice-system overhaul.

The report cites examples ranging from former vice-presidential aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby to a Florida woman's two-year sentence for throwing a cup of coffee to make its case for reducing the US prison population of 2.2 million - nearly one-fourth of the world's total.

It recommends shorter sentences and parole terms, alternative punishments, more help for released inmates, and decriminalizing recreational drugs as steps to cut the prison population in half, save $20 billion a year, and ease social inequality without endangering the public.

It all sounds good!

But the recommendations run counter to decades of broad US public and political support for getting tough on criminals through longer, harsher prison terms. They also are in opposition to the Bush administration's antidrug and strict-sentencing policies.

Oh, right, they run counter to what the fascist government wants, so forget about them.

"President Bush was right" in commuting Libby's perjury sentence this year as excessive, the report says. "But while he was at it, President Bush should have commuted the sentences of hundreds of thousands of Americans who each year have also received prison sentences for crimes that pose little if any danger or harm to our society."

The report was produced by the JFA Institute, a Washington criminal-justice research group, and its authors included eight criminologists from major US public universities. It was funded by the Rosenbaum Foundation and financier and political activist George Soros's Open Society Institute.

Funded by Soros? It sounds good, but he's just another globalist!

Wants to make money selling drugs and anesthetizing the public.

The US Department of Justice did not have an immediate comment on the report. But the Bush administration has previously resisted proposals to relax sentencing guidelines.

There are signs of shifting attitudes on sentencing policies. Some financially strapped states are shortening sentences, and Congress is moving toward bipartisan passage of increased help for released prisoners, said executive director Marc Mauer of the Sentencing Project, which has advocated alternatives to long sentences.

Well, the fascists may not win if they keep spending all the money on the wars, huh?

"Compared to where we were in the [mid-1990s], it's been a very significant change," Mauer said.

More than 1.5 million people are now in US state and federal prisons, up from 196,429 in 1970, the report said. Another 750,000 people are in local jails. The US incarceration rate is the world's highest, followed by Russia, according to 2006 figures compiled by Kings College in London.

FREE COUNTRY? FREE COUNTRY?

WE HAVE THE MOST IMPRISONED POPULATION in the world -- even topping Russia!!!!!!

Oh, Americans, we have NO RIGHT TO SPEW ARROGANCE at the WORLD!!!!

NO RIGHT AT ALL!!!

FREE COUNTRY? WHAT FREE COUNTRY?

Since 1970, the US population has risen 50 percent overall.

Although the US crime rate began declining in the 1990s it is still about the same as in 1973, the JFA report said. But the prison population has soared because sentences have gotten longer and people who violate parole or probation, even with minor lapses, are more likely to be imprisoned.

Sig Heil!

"The system is almost feeding on itself now. It takes years and years and years to get out of this system, and we do not see any positive impact on the crime rates," James Austin, president of the JFA and a coauthor of the report, said at a news conference.

The report said the prison population is projected to grow by another 192,000 in five years, at a cost of $27.5 billion to build and operate additional prisons.

At current rates, one-third of all black males, one-sixth of Latino males, and one in 17 white males will go to prison during their lives.

One in every three black men makes prison?

What a hypocritical country, with its "freedom" and "democracy" and "human rights" GARBAGE!!!!!!!

Women represent the fastest-growing segment of the prison population, the report said. The result is increased social and racial inequality.

Oh, and EVEN WOMEN are making the grade!

"The massive incarceration of young males from mostly poor- and working-class neighborhoods, and the taking of women from their families and jobs, [have] crippled their potential for forming healthy families and achieving economic gains," the report said."

Yeah, TAKING AWAY MOMMIES and LOCKIN' 'EM UP!

Sig Heil
, you bunch of fucking fascists!

Un-frikkin' real!

I don't ever want to hear that 'freedom" propaganda again.
