Bibi's Return

Not good for the Middle East or the world:

The Primary

"Netanyahu wins key Likud vote.... Benjamin Netanyahu easily defeated a radical Jewish settler in the race to lead Israel's hardline Likud Party yesterday, a party official said, boosting his ambitions to reclaim the country's premiership. While Netanyahu's victory had been all but assured, a strong showing by challenger Moshe Feiglin could have shored up Israel's extreme right and hurt Netanyahu's efforts to rehabilitate Likud after it was trounced in national elections last year. Recent polls have crowned Netanyahu as the front-runner for Israel's top job. With more than 80 percent of the primary votes tallied, Netanyahu was out way ahead with 73 percent to Feiglin's 22 percent, party executive director Gad Arieli said (AP)."

The General Election

"The fortunes of Likud and Netanyahu have turned around, as the ratings of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Kadima have slid in the wake of last year's inconclusive war in Lebanon and a string of scandals involving senior government officials.

Today 57-year-old Bibi, as Netanyahu is known in Israel, is the public's first choice to be Israel's next prime minister -- 36 percent favoured him in a recent opinion poll, compared with eight percent for Olmert and 22 percent for former premier Ehud Barak.

The same poll showed that Likud would more than double its representation in the Knesset if new elections were held, winning 26 seats, more than any other party."

Meanwhile (from a World Brief):

"Gaza: Israeli Strikes Kill 6.... At least four Palestinian militants and two civilians were killed by Israeli air and ground forces in southern Gaza, according to Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Palestinian medical officials. An Israeli Army spokeswoman said the strikes were to “neutralize terrorist threats (New York Times August 15).”

[My local tells me (in an AP report) that Israel also rounded up and detained about 100 Palestinians.

Now why would some hick local report that, and the big-city, Zionist-controlled shit rags CENSOR IT?

Why is that, reader?

You see the priorities in AmeriKa's shit war dailies.

But they are not Zionist-controlled, oh no! Pffffffftttttt!!!!!!!]
