U.S. Warship Off Burmese Coast

No wonder they don't want the "help."

Why is the U.S. chomping at the bit to get into Burma, readers?

I wonder where the same urgency and effort is to get into Sudan, Somalia or Palestine to relieve that suffering -- and where those nations are in today's Zionist-controlled War Daily.

I'm TIRED of the AGENDA-PUSHING BULLSHIT, readers!!!!

"UN presses Burma to allow more foreign aid"

"by Associated Press | May 21, 2008

RANGOON, Burma - The United Nations' top humanitarian official said yesterday that he hopes Burma will allow foreign helicopters to help rescue stranded cyclone victims, while the UN chief warned it is a "critical moment" for relief efforts.

John Holmes, UN undersecretary general for humanitarian affairs, was in Burma seeking to persuade the military government to let in more international assistance. He also was paving the way for a visit by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon starting tomorrow.

Holmes said he told Burma's prime minister, Lieutenant General Thein Sein, that the UN wants to support aid efforts, "as we would do in any other country in any disaster of this scale, where clearly the size of the tragedy outweighs the capacity of any country to deal with it by itself."

Haiti is a tragedy, yet it doesn't get MSM news coverage everyday.

Why the AGENDA-PUSH in regards to Burma?

Being an ally of China, a regime the U.S. wants to change, and a center of the drug triangle in Asia wouldn't have anything to do with it, right agenda-promoting MSM?

The junta appears to be slowly relenting to foreign pressure to accept more outside help, but even foreign aid workers already in the country are still banned from the most devastated areas. The UN said that only a fraction of survivors had gotten any international assistance.

The official death toll stood at about 78,000, with 56,000 more missing. Conditions in the lowlying Irrawaddy River Delta remained precarious, with survivors facing disease, malnutrition, and exposure to the elements.

This is probably all accurate; however, I am sick of the Zionist-controlled War Dailies and their agenda-pushing.

I'm tired of flogging official "enemies" while America and her allies WAR CRIMES go UNCOVERED or UNPUNISHED!!!

FUCK AmeriKa's SHIT MSM!!!!

Speaking at a news conference a day after visiting the delta, Holmes said he had suggested the junta make "better use of international expertise and assets" and ensure "all possible routes in for aid are open, whether they be by land or sea or air."

Asked whether the government would allow foreign helicopters to help, Holmes said that would be a positive step and he hoped to reach an agreement soon.

"It's clear that one of the biggest problems in the delta area is getting to affected people, which can only be done either by helicopter or by boat," he said.

The US military has several helicopters on standby on a warship off the Burmese coast and in neighboring Thailand.

The United States is already flying supplies in from Thailand on C-130 cargo aircraft at a rate of about five flights a day. But the planes go to Burma's biggest city, Rangoon, from which it is a difficult journey to the Irrawaddy Delta.

Why not to the Sudan then?

Holmes told reporters Ban would meet with Senior General Than Shwe, head of the ruling junta. Burmese officials were not available to confirm the news.

Ban is expected to visit areas devastated by Cyclone Nargis as well as talk with officials and aid workers. On Sunday, he is scheduled to attend a meeting of aid donors in Rangoon. Burma, one of the world's poorest nations, claims losses from the disaster exceeded $10 billion.

Burma's leaders began three days of mourning for the dead and missing. But shops opened and many people in Rangoon said they had little idea what the official mourning entailed.

State-owned media quoted Than Shwe, the junta leader, as saying the government has spent $45.5 million on relief operations; has met immediate needs such as food, shelter, and healthcare; and is moving into the reconstruction phase.

Foreign aid agencies and UN officials were less upbeat.

"I think there is still a long way to go to improve the relief efforts, to speed it up, and to make sure that all the people who are in need are reached," said Holmes. "There is still a major effort to be mounted on the relief side, which has to go on for some three to six months."

We've been waiting for the AmeriKan junta for THREE YEARS after Katrina, so WTF?!?!
