"Veterans pressed to repay bonuses"
NEW YORK - Service members seriously wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan after they got a $10,000 bonus for enlisting are being dunned by the Pentagon to repay some of the incentive money, said Senator Charles Schumer, a Democrat. Enlistees are required to finish their term of service or lose part of the bonus. Schumer called on the Defense Department to relinquish the money and wants a law to prevent the practice (AP)."
But Halliburton or KBR don't have to repay the money they stole from the U.S. taxpayers!
