Memory Hole: Sadr Still in Sight

(Updated: Originally published October 29, 2006)

Seems like the news pages of TODAY are the same as YESTERYEAR!

WTF?

Malaki had an
"outburst on Wednesday in which... he spoke out forcefully against the idea of American-imposed benchmarks or timelines for action on the most critical issues dividing the Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish populations... Malaki astonished American officials (New York Times, October 29, 2007)."

Benchmarks, timelines, WTF are those?

American officials astonished?

Their puppet moved, or that he was shilling for Bush?

"A growing Shiite disenchantment with the US."

As if they were ever really "enchanted" by all this.

Ugh, what God-awful journalism.

It was an article by John Burns of the NYT, he of the "demonic" and "satanic" insurgency fame.

I think the Shia went along with thos thing because no one was going to stop the 2003 invasion.

They knew just like everyone else!

Now if the Shia REALLY turn on America, we're sunk!

That was a year ago, and
this was yesterday.

Same shit, different YEAR!!!

"For the second time this week, American troops rolled in force into the stronghold of radical Shiite cleric Moktada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army on Friday in search of a missing American soldier, but this time withdrew without clashing with fighters there, authorities said."

Same old, same old, huh, readers?
