Massachusetts Cops Can Run You Over

One wonders why the Globe left this detail out of the story, readers:

"Stots was rushing to help fellow officers who were
confronting a man armed with a knife."

Or
does one?

"Woman's family calls for police safety upgrade" by John Ellement, Globe Staff | July 18, 2008

The parents of the 36-year-old woman remain devastated, said McNally, who at 39 is the oldest of what were once four siblings.

Conley said that Officer Jesse Stots, who was driving the cruiser, showed poor judgment by driving 51 miles an hour in a 30 mile-an-hour zone. Stots was rushing to help fellow officers who were confronting a man armed with a knife."

Are you KIDDING ME? OFFICERS (plural) against a MAN (singular) armed with a KNIFE?!

Don't police officers have GUNS and TASERS?! WTF, readers?!

And yet the court and law enforcement (along with the MSM) absolved this guy!

A YOUNG LADY is DEAD for NO REASON other than a COWBOY COP'S ASSHOLE REACTION to a situation that WAS NOT THAT IMMEDIATE, was it?

WTF, readers?!

Of course, cops look like they can SPEED and KILL ANYONE here in Massachusetts -- all with IMPUGNITY!!!!!!

"High court to consider fatal police crash

The Supreme Judicial Court will hear the case of a Beverly police officer convicted of vehicular homicide for a fatal crash. The full court decided Wednesday it will hear the appeal of Stuart Merry during its next session, which begins in September. In March, a jury in Peabody District Court found Merry guilty of vehicular homicide for crashing his police cruiser into a parked car and killing Bonney Burns, 61, in January 2007. He was sentenced to three years of probation. The trial judge later set aside the verdict, but he refused to declare Merry not guilty based on insufficient evidence. The officer is appealing the judge's ruling to the top court. Merry is on unpaid leave and has lost his driver's license (AP July 18, 2008)."

Yeah, Sig Heil!
