Americans Got Roads to Drive

"Record fuel prices aren't keeping Americans off the roads."

I expect the pumps will follow shortly, readers!

"Crude jumps $4.58 on surprise gas supply drop

Oil prices soared over $4 a barrel, halting a dramatic two-week slide after a surprise drop in US gasoline supplies fed speculation that record fuel prices aren't keeping Americans off the roads.

WTF is with the
LYING then?!

"The decline in American driving is deepening," US Secretary of Transportation Mary E. Peters said in a conference call with reporters yesterday. Between November and May,
the year-to-year drop in the total number of miles driven by Americans was equal to 200 trips to the sun and back, she said."

WTF?!

But market analysts were mixed on whether prices would swing higher if yesterday's rally was just a temporary bump. Light, sweet crude for September delivery jumped $4.58 cents to $126.77 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The Energy Information Administration said in its inventory report that US gasoline supplies fell by 3.5 million barrels last week. Analysts expected supplies to increase by 400,000 barrels (AP)."

I'm tired of the supply-and-demand bullshit put out by the crap media; we all know it is the DROPPING DOLLAR that defines oil prices -- something the MSM continually downplays!!!
