Mr. Abbas and other world leaders have condemned the school shooting.
An Israeli foreign ministry spokesman said the attack was aimed at killing chances for peace, but he vowed peace talks will continue.
The shooting follows weeks of escalating violence by Palestinian militants and Israeli forces.
In the Egyptian Sinai city of El Arish on Thursday, Egyptian officials met with Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and a U.S. envoy.
They discussed a proposed truce between the militant groups and Israel."
